1. What happens in a month,
six months, a year?Copy !req
2. When she tells you
she just wants to be friends?Copy !req
3. Nate, why would I do
a single thing for you?Copy !req
4. 'Cause I'll put you in jail.Copy !req
5. I need you to get in your car
and drive downCopy !req
6. to the East Island
police station.Copy !req
7. You're going to walk up
to the receptionist,Copy !req
8. and you're gonna tell her
you'd like to confess
to a crime.Copy !req
9. Do you recognize that man?Copy !req
10. He's the guy who assaulted me
the night of the carnival.Copy !req
11. Can you please get out of
the pool?Copy !req
12. This whole town
is so fucking boring.Copy !req
13. I'm a burden, and it is
what it is and it's embarrassingCopy !req
14. so I'm sorry.Copy !req
15. No funny business, Christopher!Copy !req
16. Fuck.Copy !req
17. Cassie's dad
was really handsome.Copy !req
18. The kind of handsome
that made people
treat him differently.Copy !req
19. Her mom used to get
really upset at him
for flirting.Copy !req
20. Which wasn't fair.
It wasn't his fault.Copy !req
21. He really loved her.Copy !req
22. He really loved them all.Copy !req
23. Her dad always
wanted her to become
a professional ice skater.Copy !req
24. Wow. Thank you!Copy !req
25. Aw, happy birthday, kiddo.Copy !req
26. And for a while,
she thought she might.Copy !req
27. She was a natural.Copy !req
28. But her dad
couldn't afford lessons,Copy !req
29. so he stopped
encouraging her.Copy !req
30. When she hit puberty,
her mother and her
became best friends.Copy !req
31. You're an angel.Copy !req
32. I feel like a big baby.Copy !req
33. Cassie, woman to woman,
hmm?Copy !req
34. You're perfect.Copy !req
35. - Holy moly, look at you.
- What?Copy !req
36. You're gonna be
a real heart breaker.Copy !req
37. Trust me.Copy !req
38. And it wasn't just
her body that changed.Copy !req
39. But the rest
of the world, too.Copy !req
40. You remember Uncle Ted?Copy !req
41. Oh, boy, look at you.
All grown up.Copy !req
42. Come on, give me a hug.Copy !req
43. - You really filled out.
- Sassy Cassie. Come here.Copy !req
44. I bet you got all the boys
wrapped around your finger.Copy !req
45. Boop.Copy !req
46. Their family wasn't perfect.Copy !req
47. Her mom had, you know,
some issues.Copy !req
48. Oh, my God.Copy !req
49. And her dad struggled
to keep a steady income.Copy !req
50. - Suze: Fuck you.
- Gus: This is my family—Copy !req
51. - Rue: And they fought.
- (indistinct arguing)Copy !req
52. In the way all parents
kind of fight.Copy !req
53. Except for the night before
she started ninth grade.Copy !req
54. Her mom told her that her dad
was just being irrational.Copy !req
55. Your father had some serious
jealousy issues.Copy !req
56. Let me tell you.Copy !req
57. Plus, he couldn't
hold a steady job
to save his life.Copy !req
58. I just think he didn't want
the responsibility
of being a father.Copy !req
59. It's too much work.Copy !req
60. But Cassie had heard
differently.Copy !req
61. My mom said your mom
cheated on your dad.Copy !req
62. And that's why he left.Copy !req
63. What?Copy !req
64. At first, she was really
angry at her mom.Copy !req
65. She resented her for being
such a hypocrite.Copy !req
66. But then she realized that
her dad wasn't perfect.Copy !req
67. I don't know
if I want to be
associated with herpesCopy !req
68. but, you know...Copy !req
69. And her mom wasn't either,Copy !req
70. and maybe they just weren't
right for each other.Copy !req
71. He used to visit them
on weekends.Copy !req
72. Bye, Dad.Copy !req
73. - Bye, Dad.
- Rue: But, eventually,Copy !req
74. it became once
every couple of weeks.Copy !req
75. He said he was coming.Copy !req
76. And then sometimes,
more than a month
would go by.Copy !req
77. - Rue: Then one night...
- (car horn blares)Copy !req
78. he was driving home
from work...Copy !req
79. and was in the ICU
for 23 days.Copy !req
80. The doctors were afraid
he'd never walk again.Copy !req
81. But Cassie knew he was strong,
and that he'd get better.Copy !req
82. He was prescribed
fentanyl for pain.Copy !req
83. Promethazine to
offset the nausea.Copy !req
84. Liquid Lorazepam to sleep,Copy !req
85. and Imitrex injections
for migraines.Copy !req
86. Cassie would text him
and talk to him.Copy !req
87. But as more time went by,
the less responsive he became.Copy !req
88. And eventually,
months went by,Copy !req
89. and she didn't
hear from him at all.Copy !req
90. Until one night, a week
after her 15th birthday,Copy !req
91. she got a text from
a random number at about
1:00 in the morning.Copy !req
92. And even though
she was excited to see himCopy !req
93. and wanted to hug him,Copy !req
94. there was something
about the whole thing
that scared her.Copy !req
95. I want you to know
there's never a day goes byCopy !req
96. I don't think about you.Copy !req
97. The number
you texted me from.Copy !req
98. Can I call you?Copy !req
99. That's my friend's phone.Copy !req
100. But I promise
I'll reach you to you
with my new number, I...Copy !req
101. Don't cry, baby.
(exhales)Copy !req
102. I'm okay. I'm fine.
Don't...Copy !req
103. I just miss you, Dad.Copy !req
104. I miss you, okay.
I love you.Copy !req
105. He said he needed
a few things,Copy !req
106. and made her promise
that she wouldn't tell a soul.Copy !req
107. Cassie kept her promise,Copy !req
108. and never told anyone
about that night.Copy !req
109. - She also never
saw her dad again.
- (door shuts)Copy !req
110. She fell in love
with every guy
she ever dated.Copy !req
111. Whether they were
smart or stupidCopy !req
112. or sweet or cruel,
it didn't matter.Copy !req
113. She didn't like to be alone.Copy !req
114. - What are you doing?
- Ex-boyfriend 1:
I'm just filming you.Copy !req
115. Why?Copy !req
116. And every guy she ever dated
asked for the same things.Copy !req
117. - Ex-boyfriend 2:
Can I film you sucking my dick?
- What? No!Copy !req
118. - What? Stop.
- Ex-boyfriend 3:
Let's make a sex tape.Copy !req
119. - What? Get out of here.
- Ex-boyfriend 4: Come on.
I won't tell anyone.Copy !req
120. - Ex-boyfriend 5:
It's not that big of a deal.
- Yes, it is.Copy !req
121. I don't wanna do this.Copy !req
122. And she almost
always said yes.Copy !req
123. Even though it didn't always
make her feel good.Copy !req
124. And she knew that most guys,
after she broke up with them,Copy !req
125. would always share
those photos or videos.Copy !req
126. The first time she found out,
she had a panic attack,Copy !req
127. and wanted to swallow
a whole bottle of Tylenol.Copy !req
128. But she didn't.
Because, I mean,Copy !req
129. what's the worst thing
anybody could say to her?Copy !req
130. That she gave a blowjob
to a guy who didn't deserve it?Copy !req
131. And she figured by the time
she was out of collegeCopy !req
132. and looking for a job,
99 percent of the populationCopy !req
133. would have leaked nudes,
anyway.Copy !req
134. And then, at the beginning
of the year, she met McKay.Copy !req
135. And fell in love with him.Copy !req
136. And he fell in love with her.Copy !req
137. - I love you.
- Rue: And even though
things weren't perfect,Copy !req
138. he loved her
for who she was.Copy !req
139. And even though she had
made a couple of mistakes,Copy !req
140. I mean,
they weren't big ones.Copy !req
141. They weren't the kind of things
you couldn't come back from.Copy !req
142. Narrator (on computer screen):
Previously on Love Island ...Copy !req
143. Laura (on computer screen):
G rab the amazing-ness
that you have with JoshCopy !req
144. by the balls.Copy !req
145. People are always telling me
about great TV shows.Copy !req
146. How I just have to watch
this show.Copy !req
147. But the truth is,
I don't want good TV.Copy !req
148. I don't want a novel,
or some slow burn,Copy !req
149. or anything that
feels like work.Copy !req
150. That's why I love reality TV.Copy !req
151. It's funny, it's dramatic,
and I can focus on it.Copy !req
152. It's pure, effortless
entertainment.Copy !req
153. Narrator (on computer screen):
Romance hits the rocks.Copy !req
154. Man (on computer screen):
She doesn't talk to me,
she doesn't acknowledge me.Copy !req
155. - She's playing a game.
- Woman (on computer screen):
Honestly...Copy !req
156. I want to lay down
one momentCopy !req
157. and then
look around the nextCopy !req
158. and realize I have watchedCopy !req
159. 22 straight hours of
Love IslandCopy !req
160. over a two-day period...Copy !req
161. - ... and yearn for more.
- (music plays on
computer screen)Copy !req
162. Some people may
find that depressing.Copy !req
163. I don't.Copy !req
164. It is, however, a good way
to measure depression.Copy !req
165. Because when reality TV
begins to feel like work,Copy !req
166. like, final season
of Mad Men work,Copy !req
167. you know you're depressed.Copy !req
168. Like, haven't got out of bed
to pee in 24 hours depressed.Copy !req
169. Do I look different to you?Copy !req
170. You look fine to me.Copy !req
171. 'Cause I feel different.Copy !req
172. Okay, well, you don't look it.Copy !req
173. I don't think I'm gonna
go to school today.Copy !req
174. - 'Cause of Daniel?
- No, not 'cause
of Daniel, Lexi!Copy !req
175. Daniel's the last fucking thing
I care about right now.Copy !req
176. Okay, well,
it's all you ever
fucking talk about.Copy !req
177. That's not true!
I asked you how I look.
Not about Daniel!Copy !req
178. Yeah, well,
you look beautiful, Cassie.Copy !req
179. You look fucking amazing.Copy !req
180. It's literally all
anyone's ever told youCopy !req
181. your entire life.Copy !req
182. Like, listen to yourself.
It's fucking exhausting.Copy !req
183. The thought of having
to stand up,Copy !req
184. exert 172 muscles
each step for 35 feet,Copy !req
185. just so I can sit
on cold porcelain
and piss out toxinsCopy !req
186. over and over again
for the rest of my lifeCopy !req
187. makes the whole concept
of livingCopy !req
188. feel like one long,
sadistic joke.Copy !req
189. But the absolute worst part
of depressionCopy !req
190. is that even though
you know you're depressed,Copy !req
191. you're unable to stop yourself
from getting worse.Copy !req
192. But I wasn't the only one
feeling down.Copy !req
193. Jules' dad:
Jules? What's wrong?Copy !req
194. - I'm sick.
- Okay. Let me know
if you need anything.Copy !req
195. - (door closes)
- Rue: After Halloween,Copy !req
196. Jules didn't go to school
for a full week.Copy !req
197. And even though
I sent her about 50 texts,
she didn't respond.Copy !req
198. Happy Halloween.Copy !req
199. I could tell something bad
had happened.Copy !req
200. And that it had
something to do with Nate.Copy !req
201. - (door buzzes)
- Rue: Tyler Clarkson
was booked for assault.Copy !req
202. But this shit
wasn't adding up.Copy !req
203. And I was putting together
the pieces of the puzzle.Copy !req
204. - (sizzling)
- Howard, let's roll.Copy !req
205. I wasn't gonna stop
until I got the truth.Copy !req
206. Woman (over PA):
False accusations
in today's worldCopy !req
207. can cause serious
long-term damageCopy !req
208. to one's career, reputation,
and emotional well-being.Copy !req
209. We all owe Nate Jacobs
a heartfelt apology,Copy !req
210. and are excited and thrilledCopy !req
211. to have him back
at East Highland.Copy !req
212. Why would Jules lie
to help Nate?Copy !req
213. I don't know.Copy !req
214. - Well, have you
asked her about it?
- No.Copy !req
215. - You haven't asked her?
- No.Copy !req
216. Keep looking, you mook.Copy !req
217. I'm Morgan fuckin' Freeman
and this is the beginning
of the third act.Copy !req
218. Well, doesn't that seem like
the first logical step?Copy !req
219. Honestly, Howard,
this whole thing
is beyond logic.Copy !req
220. - (match scraping)
- Unless...Copy !req
221. Jules is in love
with Nate.Copy !req
222. - Lexi: Why would Jules
be in love with Nate?
- You should listen to me.Copy !req
223. - Bennett, the cigarettes
are killing me.
- Hear me out. Listen. Listen.Copy !req
224. Listen, the night
of the carnival,
she said she wantedCopy !req
225. to go meet up with this guy
she met online, okay?Copy !req
226. He's some fuckin' jock,
he's from a conservative family,Copy !req
227. and they were talking
and texting.Copy !req
228. They've been texting for weeks.Copy !req
229. And when I say texting,
I don't just mean
regular fuckin' texting.Copy !req
230. - They were sexting.
- (match strikes)Copy !req
231. - Like nudes?
- Yeah. Side note,Copy !req
232. very nice dick.
Very clean room.Copy !req
233. Oh.Copy !req
234. She never fucking
say his face.Copy !req
235. Yeah, so Jules is catfished.Copy !req
236. Now hear me out.
So the night of the carnival,Copy !req
237. she made plans with this guyCopy !req
238. to meet up with him
at the lake, okay?Copy !req
239. I fucking go home.
Next thing I know...Copy !req
240. - (knocking)
- ... she's fucking
knocking at my window.Copy !req
241. - (knocking)
- She's all emotional,Copy !req
242. she's got fucking tears
in her eyes.Copy !req
243. I say, Jules,
what the fuck happened?Copy !req
244. She looks at me. She goes...Copy !req
245. "He didn't look like
his pictures."Copy !req
246. Yeah, that's like,
the definition of catfishing.Copy !req
247. No, but do you know
what his name was?Copy !req
248. - Nate Jacobs?
- Tyler.Copy !req
249. Like, Tyler Clarkson?Copy !req
250. You're goddamned right.Copy !req
251. Maddy is 17, Tyler's 22,
and they fornicated.Copy !req
252. - Statutory.
- Yeah. You saw it, I saw it.
We all fucking saw it.Copy !req
253. - Including Nate.
- And what is a lighter offense
than statutory?Copy !req
254. Assault.Copy !req
255. - (slams)
- Bingo!Copy !req
256. Rue, are you pouring coffee
in the water filter?Copy !req
257. - Yes, I am.
- Instead of water?Copy !req
258. - Yes, I am.
- Well, please, don't do that.Copy !req
259. And it's late.
You shouldn't be
drinking caffeine.Copy !req
260. Mom, please. I have homework.Copy !req
261. Well, there's a sentence
I never thought I'd hear.Copy !req
262. Will you let me know
when this is ready?Copy !req
263. - (phone rings)
- Lexi (over phone): Hello?Copy !req
264. Howard, it's Bennett.Copy !req
265. Lexi (over phone):
It's 2:45 in the morning.
Don't you ever sleep?Copy !req
266. Listen, why would Nate
single out Jules
in the first place?Copy !req
267. It's obvious
he was sexually
attracted to her.Copy !req
268. And because Jules
is predominantly het, okay,Copy !req
269. he wooed her with his,
uh, fucking creepy
jock magic shit.Copy !req
270. She's super fuckin' sensitive,
she's very forgiving,Copy !req
271. and she's basically the most
wonderful fucking person
on the planet...Copy !req
272. she fell for him.Copy !req
273. That's why she
fucking testified.Copy !req
274. I'm a genius.
I'm a fucking genius.Copy !req
275. Hey, Mom! I'm a fucking genius.Copy !req
276. I'm not even tired.
It's crazy.Copy !req
277. I'm not even
fucking tired.Copy !req
278. I feel amazing.
(chuckles)Copy !req
279. Lexi (over phone):
I'll be honest with you,
Bennett.Copy !req
280. You're too close to this case.Copy !req
281. - Who was that?
- Lexi: Rue.Copy !req
282. - Think she's in, like,
a manic state.
- Cassie: Is she okay?Copy !req
283. I don't think so.Copy !req
284. - (beeps)
- Fuck.Copy !req
285. I don't know what
you're gonna say,
but this feels like...Copy !req
286. really dramatic.Copy !req
287. Yeah, this is spooky.Copy !req
288. It is not spooky, BB.Copy !req
289. I just, I need your advice
on, like, two things.Copy !req
290. And I need you guys
to promise me not to say
a single fucking word.Copy !req
291. So, the night of Daniel's
Halloween party,Copy !req
292. something happened.Copy !req
293. - (Kat panting)
- I don't usually
come that fast.Copy !req
294. That was amazing.Copy !req
295. It's funny. I always thought
I was gonna lose my virginity
to you.Copy !req
296. - You're a virgin?
- No, I mean,
when we were younger.Copy !req
297. - When we dated.
- We dated?Copy !req
298. Yeah, in sixth grade.Copy !req
299. You and me?Copy !req
300. Yeah, for like five months.Copy !req
301. Oh.Copy !req
302. I literally have
no recollection of that.
(groans)Copy !req
303. Wait. Am I hearing this
correctly?Copy !req
304. You want to tell McKay
that you made out with DanielCopy !req
305. at the carnival
and on Halloween?Copy !req
306. Yeah, but, I don't—
I don't have to say
it's Daniel.Copy !req
307. Bitch, that's the craziest idea
I've ever heard. Right?Copy !req
308. For sure.Copy !req
309. - Yeah, but I want to be
honest with him.
- (groans)Copy !req
310. - You cannot tell McKay.
- But it's not like
I cheated-cheated.Copy !req
311. Kissing is worse.
It's so much more intimate.Copy !req
312. And if anybody brings it up,
you deny, deny, deny.Copy !req
313. Okay, but, I just—
I don't want there to beCopy !req
314. something this bad
between us forever.Copy !req
315. I wouldn't worry
about it, Cassie.
It's not likeCopy !req
316. you guys are gonna be
together forever.Copy !req
317. Kat, what the fuck
is your problem?Copy !req
318. You're being a bad friend now.
You were a bad friend to me,Copy !req
319. and this whole new personality
is seriously unlikable.Copy !req
320. World Star!Copy !req
321. Why, because I won't
sit and listen to you
bitch and moanCopy !req
322. about your psychotic,
abusive boyfriendCopy !req
323. who you've literally
broken up with
a thousand times?Copy !req
324. It was literally
the lowest point
in my life, so, yeah.Copy !req
325. That and the fact that
you're just fuckin' mean.Copy !req
326. Maddy, ever since I've met you,
all you talk about is yourself.Copy !req
327. Your clothes, your boyfriends,
whatever superficial shitCopy !req
328. you think is so
fucking important.Copy !req
329. Sorry I'm no longer interested.Copy !req
330. I don't know about
everyone else, but
I miss the old Kat.Copy !req
331. You know, the one
who had a sense of humorCopy !req
332. and wasn't
a fuckin' cunt?Copy !req
333. Damn.Copy !req
334. What was the other thing?Copy !req
335. What other thing?Copy !req
336. You said you needed advice
on two things.Copy !req
337. I don't remember.Copy !req
338. What would you do?Copy !req
339. Um, I don't know.Copy !req
340. I've never really
been in a situationCopy !req
341. where two guys
have been interested in me.Copy !req
342. That's 'cause you're shy.Copy !req
343. I guess so, but I've also
never been in a situationCopy !req
344. where I've been interested
in two guys.Copy !req
345. That's also 'cause you're shy.Copy !req
346. Maybe.
(chuckles)Copy !req
347. But if you were in my situation,
what would you do?Copy !req
348. Honestly, I don't think
I would say anything.Copy !req
349. What if not saying something
makes you feel really bad?Copy !req
350. Worse than saying it?Copy !req
351. Yeah.Copy !req
352. Well, then, I don't think
you have any other option.Copy !req
353. How are you feeling?Copy !req
354. Uh, I think I have the flu
or something.Copy !req
355. You want me to
get you something?Copy !req
356. - Something to drink,
or something—
- Uh, no, I'm good.Copy !req
357. You sure you got the flu, Rue?Copy !req
358. Gia, right now I just need youCopy !req
359. to leave me
the fuck alone, all right?Copy !req
360. - (exhales)
- Narrator (on computer screen):
Previously...Copy !req
361. Look, Nate, we all make
mistakes in life.Copy !req
362. We hurt the ones we love.Copy !req
363. We let down our friends,
our family.Copy !req
364. Sometimes we do it
out of ignorance.Copy !req
365. Sometimes it's selfishness.Copy !req
366. I am not perfect.Copy !req
367. You know that.Copy !req
368. But I've spent my life
trying to do better.Copy !req
369. You have not.Copy !req
370. But it is my wish for you.Copy !req
371. I don't know
how you got out of
this situation.Copy !req
372. I know you
didn't deserve to,
but you did.Copy !req
373. And I admire whatever it took.Copy !req
374. I just hope it didn't teach you
the wrong lesson.Copy !req
375. Okay, this is gonna
sound sick,Copy !req
376. because I'm actually
in a lot of pain right now,Copy !req
377. due to the sheer weight
and strain on my bladder,Copy !req
378. but, man, does this
make me miss opiates.Copy !req
379. Because your bladder is trained
from a very early ageCopy !req
380. not to pee whenever
it wants to,Copy !req
381. it needs permission
from your brain.Copy !req
382. And when you're really high,Copy !req
383. your brain gets a little...
lazy.Copy !req
384. Too lazy to say something.Copy !req
385. Come on. Breathe.
(exhales)Copy !req
386. Come on, please.
(whimpers)Copy !req
387. It's probably why
so many drug addicts
die on toilets.Copy !req
388. The truth is,
the last time
I left this room,Copy !req
389. I didn't have
the best experience.Copy !req
390. Sleeping all day?Copy !req
391. - It's quite the life.
- (Leslie chuckles softly)Copy !req
392. Meet Rick.
My mom's new boyfriend.Copy !req
393. If you were to ask Rick
to describe himself,Copy !req
394. he'd say he was...Copy !req
395. "A romantic at heart.Copy !req
396. "I'm adventurous.
I love to travel.Copy !req
397. "I love the outdoors...Copy !req
398. great art, great movies,
great wine. Forever young."Copy !req
399. Sorry, I'm sorry.
(chuckles)Copy !req
400. Oh.Copy !req
401. - I miss your dad.
- Me, too.Copy !req
402. - Rue: So, enter Rick.
- (phone beeps)Copy !req
403. - (phone dings)
- So...Copy !req
404. Your mom tells me
that you have a new, uh,Copy !req
405. "best friend."Copy !req
406. What is that supposed to mean?Copy !req
407. That, you know.Copy !req
408. - (chuckles)
- You got a new best friend.Copy !req
409. You know what, Rick?Copy !req
410. Why don't you go fuck yourself?Copy !req
411. How dare you speak
to someone like that?Copy !req
412. like that?
- Who? (slurps) Rick.Copy !req
413. - Don't be a smart-ass.
- Did I offend you?Copy !req
414. Apologize right now.Copy !req
415. In retrospect,
I was a little cunt-y.Copy !req
416. - But Rick does suck,
and I was angry.
- (spoon clatters)Copy !req
417. For a lot of reasons.Copy !req
418. Rick, I sincerely apologizeCopy !req
419. for telling you
to go fuck yourself.Copy !req
420. What I really meant to say
is that my mom can do betterCopy !req
421. and I hate seeing you
sit in the chair
my dad sat at.Copy !req
422. If I am bipolar...Copy !req
423. I sure as shit prefer mania
over depression.Copy !req
424. Yo, Fez. So you know how
in every '90s thriller, right,Copy !req
425. Morgan Freeman plays, like,
the same semi-psychic black cop.Copy !req
426. - Yeah.
- So, I know that's
kind of racist,Copy !req
427. but the point is,
in every movie,Copy !req
428. he's always calmly
putting the fucking pieces
of the case together,Copy !req
429. while everybody else around him
is fucking freaking out,Copy !req
430. saying, "You don't know
what the fuck you're
talking about, Morgan.Copy !req
431. "You're— You're a fucking
bad husband.Copy !req
432. You should fucking retire."Copy !req
433. But no. Morgan is fucking
hyper-focused.Copy !req
434. Because he can see beyond
the little details.Copy !req
435. He's looking for
the big fuckin' picture.Copy !req
436. Because all of this shit?
It's connected, Fez.Copy !req
437. And it is way bigger
than any of us can even
fucking see.Copy !req
438. The point is, that's me.Copy !req
439. Right now,
that is fucking me.Copy !req
440. I can see everything
so fucking clearly.Copy !req
441. I know what happened,
I know why it happened,Copy !req
442. and I know what the fuck
I'm gonna do about it.Copy !req
443. Word.Copy !req
444. Word.Copy !req
445. - She can't hear me, right?
- She can't see you, either.Copy !req
446. Okay, good,
'cause this is, like,
some real top-secret shit.Copy !req
447. Trust me, Rue,
she not gonna gossip.Copy !req
448. Rue (sighs):
Okay.Copy !req
449. - Do you still have that gun?
- Fezco: What gun?Copy !req
450. The one from the couch.Copy !req
451. I mean, I got a couple guns.Copy !req
452. Why do you have
so many guns?Copy !req
453. My grandma.Copy !req
454. That's cool.Copy !req
455. What you worried
about my guns for?Copy !req
456. Okay, well, I was thinking...Copy !req
457. that maybe you could use one
to scare Nate Jacobs.Copy !req
458. Are you serious?Copy !req
459. I mean, I'm not
not serious.Copy !req
460. Rue, that must be
the dumbest shitCopy !req
461. you've said all fucking day.Copy !req
462. You don't have to
fucking point it at him.
You could just—Copy !req
463. You could, like—
You could flash it.Copy !req
464. You really have lost
your fuckin' mind, Rue.Copy !req
465. Fuck, it's a bad fucking idea,
okay?Copy !req
466. I just was fucking
spit balling, here.Copy !req
467. I mean, he fucked with me,
he fucked with Jules.Copy !req
468. And I want fucking revenge.
Okay?Copy !req
469. - Sorry.
- (phone dings)Copy !req
470. Fuck. Mouse is here.Copy !req
471. - The guy with the—
- All right, so, stay in here.
Be quiet—Copy !req
472. Fez, I can't—
I can't stay in here.
Like, I'm really...Copy !req
473. - Yes, the fuck you can. Shh!
- I'm not good with
awkward silences.Copy !req
474. Be quiet.
Listen, I'm really
serious right now.Copy !req
475. You just need to
sit your manic ass down,Copy !req
476. and be quiet for five
fuckin' minutes, Rue.Copy !req
477. I'm not fuckin'
playin' with you.Copy !req
478. - Sit down
and shut the fuck up.
- (door slams)Copy !req
479. (exhales)
Okay.Copy !req
480. So fuckin' weird.Copy !req
481. Voice of pill bottle:
Psst.Copy !req
482. Psst.Copy !req
483. Psst.Copy !req
484. Yo, Rue.Copy !req
485. Both (whispering):
Rue.Copy !req
486. Rue, I'm so lonely.Copy !req
487. (whispering):
Me, too.
Don't forget about me.Copy !req
488. That old lady?
She doesn't even know
we exist.Copy !req
489. All;
Rue!Copy !req
490. Eat us all.Copy !req
491. - Eat...
- Us...Copy !req
492. - All!
- Eat...Copy !req
493. - Us...
- All!Copy !req
494. Eat us all!
Eat us all!Copy !req
495. Yo, I'm gonna need you
to start moving some weight.Copy !req
496. Yo, I'm just trying to keep it
low-key over here, man.Copy !req
497. And I'm trying to make
fuckin' money.Copy !req
498. Even if wanted
all this shit, bruh,Copy !req
499. I don't got the money
for all this, man.Copy !req
500. That's why you in luck.
I'm gonna front it to you.Copy !req
501. Ten percent on the vig,
and I'll collect in a month.Copy !req
502. I'm not tryin' to do
all that shit, man.Copy !req
503. I ain't asking, bruh.Copy !req
504. Step yo shit up.Copy !req
505. (whispering):
One, two, three,
four, five, six, seven.Copy !req
506. One, two, three,
four, five, six, seven.Copy !req
507. One...Copy !req
508. The other thing
about depressionCopy !req
509. is it kind of
collapses time.Copy !req
510. Rue, are you listening?Copy !req
511. Suddenly, you find your
whole days blending togetherCopy !req
512. to create one endless
and suffocating loop.Copy !req
513. So you find yourself
trying to rememberCopy !req
514. the things
that made you happy.Copy !req
515. - Jules: Do you want
to get closer?
- Rue: Yeah.Copy !req
516. But slowly, your brain
begins to eraseCopy !req
517. every memory that
ever brought you joy.Copy !req
518. And eventually,Copy !req
519. all you can think about
is how life has always
been this way.Copy !req
520. And will only continue
to be this way.Copy !req
521. - ( Love Island theme music play)
- Narrator (on computer):
Previously, on Love Island...Copy !req
522. Laura (on computer):
Grab the amazing-nessCopy !req
523. that you have with Josh
by the balls.Copy !req
524. I wonder if Jules
is having fun.Copy !req
525. Announcer (over PA):
Stay clear of the tracks...Copy !req
526. TC:
Oh, I missed you!Copy !req
527. TC:
So how are the suburbs
treating you?Copy !req
528. - Jules:
They're claustrophobic.
- (TC chuckles)Copy !req
529. Yeah, how do you like it?
How you doing?Copy !req
530. I don't know.
It's been a weird,
weird-ass year.Copy !req
531. Weird in what way?Copy !req
532. Weird in every way.Copy !req
533. Shit. You make some
good friends, at least?Copy !req
534. - Yeah, I got one.
- Yeah?Copy !req
535. But it's, like, complicated.Copy !req
536. Oh.Copy !req
537. Well, are you friends,
or are you a little bit more,Copy !req
538. - like a special kind of friend?
- Both, I guess?Copy !req
539. - Aah.
- Yeah.Copy !req
540. Okay. What, are you
in love with him
or something?Copy !req
541. - (chuckles) Her, not him.
- Oh!Copy !req
542. - Ooh, a little plot twist. Okay!
- Yeah.Copy !req
543. - No room for
hetero-normativity in here.
- My bad.Copy !req
544. So... what?Copy !req
545. - I don't know.
I don't know what it is.
- Yeah.Copy !req
546. It's not, like,
great right now.Copy !req
547. I'm not exactly, like,
in the best place.Copy !req
548. Why? What's going on?Copy !req
549. I came here so I wouldn't
have to think about it.Copy !req
550. Understood.Copy !req
551. Oh!Copy !req
552. - This one?
- No, I'm one more up.Copy !req
553. Yo, Anna.Copy !req
554. - Hey.
- TC: Anna,Copy !req
555. someone I want you to meet.Copy !req
556. Hi. I'm Jules.Copy !req
557. I know.Copy !req
558. - TC: Like it?
- Did y'all make these?Copy !req
559. - TC: Our friend did.
- I mean, are you guys
gonna go out?Copy !req
560. Uh, Anna's always trying
to put makeup on me.Copy !req
561. - So awkward.
- (Jules chuckles)Copy !req
562. I remember
walking out of SearsCopy !req
563. - with my first pair of heels
in my backpack.
- Anna: Cute.Copy !req
564. And my heart
was fucking racing.Copy !req
565. And I got home,
and went straight to my room,Copy !req
566. locked the door,
put 'em on...Copy !req
567. And, I just...Copy !req
568. felt like...Copy !req
569. I was collecting...Copy !req
570. herbs, or making potions
in order to up my manna,
you know?Copy !req
571. Like, it started with that,Copy !req
572. and then it was clothes,
and then it was...Copy !req
573. makeup, and eventually
hormones.Copy !req
574. Um, I just kind of kept
leveling up.Copy !req
575. So, what level are you at now?Copy !req
576. I don't know.Copy !req
577. But I definitely haven't
reached my full power.Copy !req
578. But you date guys, right?Copy !req
579. Date isn't really
the right word.Copy !req
580. What she means to say
is that she's a slut.Copy !req
581. - Jules: Fuck you!
- What, it's not an insult!Copy !req
582. - I mean...
- But you normally
hook up with guys.Copy !req
583. Yeah, but...Copy !req
584. my relationship to men
is weird.Copy !req
585. - Anna: Like, how?
- In my head, it's like—Copy !req
586. If I can conquer men,Copy !req
587. then I can conquer
femininity.Copy !req
588. Why do you need a guy
to make you feel more feminine?Copy !req
589. Hmm?Copy !req
590. - We'll circle back to that one.
- (Jules chuckles)Copy !req
591. - So have you?
- Have I what?Copy !req
592. Conquered femininity?Copy !req
593. I don't know.Copy !req
594. But, it's not like I even
want to conquer it.Copy !req
595. It's like I want to fuckin'
obliterate it.Copy !req
596. - And then move on
to the next level.
- Anna: Mmm.Copy !req
597. And the next, and the next.
(chuckling)Copy !req
598. Level up. Level up!
(laughs)Copy !req
599. Yeah. I don't really know
what the means,
or looks like, but...Copy !req
600. - I want it.
- TC: Queerness is infinite.Copy !req
601. Okay, look at me.Copy !req
602. Yeah. You look adorable.Copy !req
603. - Stop.
- (Jules chuckles)Copy !req
604. I'm pregnant.Copy !req
605. What?Copy !req
606. Are you for real
that you're 100 percent
pregnant?Copy !req
607. Yeah.Copy !req
608. I... (sighs)Copy !req
609. I'm sorry, uh...Copy !req
610. Are you all right?Copy !req
611. Yeah, I'm—
I'm just a little
bit nervous.Copy !req
612. Nervous about what?Copy !req
613. About what you're gonna say.Copy !req
614. You're not really
thinking about having
this kid, are you?Copy !req
615. I really love you, McKay.Copy !req
616. Yeah, I love you, too,Copy !req
617. but I'm doing a lot
of shit right now.Copy !req
618. I'm in the middle
of school right now.Copy !req
619. It's a big fuckin'
responsibility, Cassie.Copy !req
620. What if this is what
I'm supposed to do
with my life?Copy !req
621. What the fuck?Copy !req
622. My parents are gonna kill me.Copy !req
623. My coach is gonna kill me.Copy !req
624. My parents are gonna
fucking kill me.Copy !req
625. Fuck.Copy !req
626. Cass, I don't even think
you wanna have this baby, okay?Copy !req
627. It's not a— It's not
a fuckin' fairy tale.
Like—Copy !req
628. It may seem all cute
and cuddly to you,
but this is real shit.Copy !req
629. I'm not even ready
to be a dad.Copy !req
630. I don't know
if that's selfish to say
or whatever, but—Copy !req
631. children are fuckin' scary.Copy !req
632. You wanted to talk about it,
so here we are,
we're talking about it.Copy !req
633. But I say we don't do it.Copy !req
634. I'm not saying
I'm gonna have a baby.Copy !req
635. I just wanted
to dream about it
for a minute.Copy !req
636. You'll make the best mother
on the planet one day.Copy !req
637. - (sniffles)
- I say that without a doubt.Copy !req
638. - Hello?
- (man on computer
clears throat)Copy !req
639. For some reason
your screen is black.
Should I call you back?Copy !req
640. Man (on computer):
No, I prefer to
keep it that way.Copy !req
641. Oh. Okay.Copy !req
642. - You drive a hard bargain.
- (chuckles) Yeah, well,
a girl's gotta eat.Copy !req
643. Man (on computer):
300 for thirty minutes.Copy !req
644. - You should have
asked for more.
- Really?Copy !req
645. Man (on computer):
Let me see your whole body.
Stand up.Copy !req
646. Yes.
(breathes heavily)Copy !req
647. Keep going.Copy !req
648. Yes.Copy !req
649. Fantastic.Copy !req
650. Are you nervous?Copy !req
651. I-I-I... (chuckles)
I mean, I don't usually,
um... (sniffs)Copy !req
652. undress.Copy !req
653. Man (on computer):
But I am special. Right?Copy !req
654. Yes.Copy !req
655. Man (on computer):
Then say it.Copy !req
656. You're special.Copy !req
657. Man (on computer):
So, get undressed.Copy !req
658. Oh, wow.Copy !req
659. You're beautiful.Copy !req
660. - Can you get me
a mango La Croix?
- Nate: Um-hmm.Copy !req
661. - And those cherry
rolling papers?
- Anything else?Copy !req
662. - What up, Fez?
- What's up, man?Copy !req
663. Yo, can I get, uh,
two of the rolling papers,
too, bruh?Copy !req
664. Yo, man.Copy !req
665. I don't know what's been
going on with you, Rue,
and Jules and shit.Copy !req
666. But you should know,
I really do care about her.Copy !req
667. Aren't you, like,
her drug dealer?Copy !req
668. Nah, man.Copy !req
669. What, are you
in a relationship?Copy !req
670. (sniffs)
Nah, bruh, that's like,
my family.Copy !req
671. So it's platonic.Copy !req
672. Look, man,Copy !req
673. all I'm saying is,
leave her and
her friends alone.Copy !req
674. Is that a threat?Copy !req
675. Nah, I'm just telling you.Copy !req
676. Or what?Copy !req
677. We're not gonna be
having this conversation.Copy !req
678. Fezco, let's get this straight.Copy !req
679. You're, like, half a retard.Copy !req
680. You dropped out of school
at 20, and now...Copy !req
681. you're a gangster.Copy !req
682. What are you, like,
fucking Tony Montana?
What's the plan? Hmm?Copy !req
683. You gonna be living
in a mansion, fuckin'
pet tigers and shit?Copy !req
684. Go fuck yourself.Copy !req
685. Listen, bruh.Copy !req
686. All I'm sayin',
you keep fuckin' with
Rue and her friends,Copy !req
687. and I'mma kill you.Copy !req
688. It's gonna be $5.75, playboy.Copy !req
689. An adult bladder can hold
two cups of urine.Copy !req
690. But if you're telling
your bladder to hold off
because, say,Copy !req
691. you're in the worst depression
of your fucking life,Copy !req
692. your bladder will
eventually fill.Copy !req
693. - (liquid sloshing)
- And what begins
to happen is...Copy !req
694. all of the toxins
that your kidneysCopy !req
695. have pushed into your bladderCopy !req
696. begin to travel back
into your kidneys.Copy !req
697. (whispers):
Fuck.Copy !req
698. I know what you're thinking.
Rue, this is insane.Copy !req
699. Don't get a kidney infection.
Walk to the bathroom.Copy !req
700. Trust me, I'm thinking
the same fuckin' thing.Copy !req
701. - (giggling)
- Like a little pot?Copy !req
702. - Jules: You remind me of her.
- Anna: Who?Copy !req
703. My best friend.Copy !req
704. So what's she like?Copy !req
705. - Jules: Honestly?
Kind of a mess.
- (Jules and Anna laugh)Copy !req
706. So I'm a mess?Copy !req
707. - Yeah.
- Anna: How am I a mess?Copy !req
708. - I don't know yet.
- (Anna chuckles)Copy !req
709. - Jules: Should I text her?
- Anna: No.Copy !req
710. You only get one more.Copy !req
711. (whispers):
Fuck.Copy !req
712. Jules.Copy !req
713. What are you doing here?Copy !req
714. - Nate: You texted me.
- I did?Copy !req
715. Did you not want me to come?Copy !req
716. You here alone?Copy !req
717. No, no, no, no, no.Copy !req
718. I'm scared of you, Nate.Copy !req
719. I'm sorry. For everything.Copy !req
720. I'm sorry for hurting you.Copy !req
721. You...Copy !req
722. you were the most
beautiful person that
I've ever known.Copy !req
723. I'm Tyler. (sniffs)Copy !req
724. - I'm the person that
you fell in love with.
- (Jules screams)Copy !req
725. - (thuds)
- I wanna kill you.Copy !req
726. I'm yours. I'm all yours.Copy !req
727. - (slaps)
- Jules: You're a pussy.Copy !req
728. - You're a bitch.
- (Nate coughing)Copy !req
729. And I wish the whole
fucking world could know.Copy !req
730. I know this isn't
gonna end well.Copy !req
731. Hello?Copy !req
732. Yeah, I'd like to
report a crime.Copy !req
733. Mom.Copy !req
734. I think I need your help.Copy !req
735. Come here.Copy !req
736. Come here. It's okay.
It's okay. I love you so much.Copy !req
737. - (Cassie sobbing)
- (whispers): I love you so much.
You're so beautiful.Copy !req
738. - Fezco: Fuck!
- (buzzer buzzing)Copy !req
739. - East Highland PD!
- (banging)Copy !req
740. - Open the door!
- Fezco: Come on, bro.Copy !req
741. - Hurry the fuck up out there!
- (toilet flushes)Copy !req
742. - Officer: We know
you're in there. Open up!
- Fezco: Fuck!Copy !req
743. Goddamn it!Copy !req
744. - Fuck, bro.
- What the fuck, man?Copy !req
745. - Come on, bruh.
Hurry up, for real, man.
- (police yelling)Copy !req
746. - Police: Unlock the door!
Open up, now!
- (flushing)Copy !req
747. Goddamn it!Copy !req
748. Rue, what's wrong?Copy !req
749. Okay, baby. Come on.Copy !req
750. Come on. Come on.Copy !req
751. I had a therapist onceCopy !req
752. who said that these states
