1. Doc Holiday, you still in there?Copy !req
2. Oh, get off the street, Clanton.Copy !req
3. Holiday's my prisoner.Copy !req
4. Well, that's too bad, because if
he ain't out of here in two minutes,Copy !req
5. his friend Regret here is gonna
swing in his place.Copy !req
6. Yeah!Copy !req
7. Holiday, you still in there?Copy !req
8. Send your men home, Clanton.
Holiday's my prisoner.Copy !req
9. Only as long as he wants to be, I reckon.Copy !req
10. what do you say, Doc?Copy !req
11. You gonna let your partner
die for something you done?Copy !req
12. Look, stay where you are, Doctor.
They're bluffing.Copy !req
13. If'n you believe that, boy, you're gonna
be powerful surprised in a few minutes.Copy !req
14. I really think I must go out there.Copy !req
15. Appreciate your feelings, Doc,
but I can't let ya.Copy !req
16. But I might be able to convince them
that I'm not Doc Holiday!Copy !req
17. I can't just stand here and
allow them to hang Steven!Copy !req
18. Keep 'em talkin', Bat.
I'm gonna try and work round behind 'em.Copy !req
19. But look, what can I do?Copy !req
20. You can stay out of sight.Copy !req
21. Lay him out, Bat, if he tries anything.Copy !req
22. Oh, this is insufferable.Copy !req
23. You heard what Wyatt said, Doc.
Now, just shut up and be quiet.Copy !req
24. Very well, under protest. Hmm!Copy !req
25. Time's about up, Holiday.
You comin' out?Copy !req
26. You're asking for it, Clanton.Copy !req
27. Time's about run out for you too,
I reckon.Copy !req
28. Don't look that way to me.Copy !req
29. Not from where I'm standing.Copy !req
30. Where you're standing, boy,
is right in the line of my shotgun.Copy !req
31. I'd keep real quiet If'n I was you.Copy !req
32. Why, you...Copy !req
33. Go on and draw, Billy. I'd like that fine.Copy !req
34. Hold it, Billy.
Play it like we planned.Copy !req
35. Holiday! Ain't you even gonna come out
and tell your old friend goodbye?Copy !req
36. Oh, dear, dear.
What on earth is Mr Werp doing?Copy !req
37. - He's leaving things too late!
- Never been known to do that, mister.Copy !req
38. He's no right to take
chances with Steven's life!Copy !req
39. Those men mean what they say.Copy !req
40. If they didn't, do you think Wyatt
would be risking his neck out there?Copy !req
41. He's not risking his neck.
Now, I really must go out there.Copy !req
42. Yeah, well, I know how you feel, friend,Copy !req
43. but if you don't quit hoppin'
about like a jackrabbitCopy !req
44. I'm gonna have to lay you out
so cold you'll freeze!Copy !req
45. Oh!Copy !req
46. Okay, men.
String him up.Copy !req
47. Pardon me, Mr Regret,
If'n you was going to have a chance,Copy !req
48. I suggest you choose your friends
better in the future.Copy !req
49. First one that moves gets it.Copy !req
50. You gonna be first, Billy?Copy !req
51. You're wearing a badge, Marshal.Copy !req
52. If'n you weren't...Copy !req
53. Yeah, and if you didn't happen
to be caught in the crossfire, Billy...Copy !req
54. You've gotta let Holiday outta there
sometime. And when you do...Copy !req
55. Go on home!
Necktie party's over!Copy !req
56. Go on, get off the street, all of you!Copy !req
57. All's have to do is talk big
and look foolish, Clanton,Copy !req
58. - now, get off the street.
- Not without Phin.Copy !req
59. He ain't available right now.Copy !req
60. - Meanin'?
- He's under arrest.Copy !req
61. You've got no right, Marshal!Copy !req
62. Attempted hanging?
I'd say I'd every right.Copy !req
63. Mr Clanton!
Mr Clanton!Copy !req
64. Stay outta this, Charlie.Copy !req
65. Mr Clanton, that ain't Doc Holiday
that's being held...Copy !req
66. I said stay outta this, Charlie.Copy !req
67. It's like the old guy
kept tryin' to tell you.Copy !req
68. I'm sorry, Mr Earp, but I figure
to save you all a deal a trouble.Copy !req
69. What makes you think it ain't him?Copy !req
70. Well, on account of Doc Holiday
just bein' in the bar.Copy !req
71. You're drunk!Copy !req
72. Boy, that's all we needed.Copy !req
73. If'n I'm drunk,
your friend Seth Harper's still alive.Copy !req
74. - Which he ain't.
- What's that you say?Copy !req
75. Holiday shot him, clean as a whistle.
Fastest thing I ever saw.Copy !req
76. If'n you're lyin', Charlie, so help me God.Copy !req
77. Why should I lie, Mr Clanton?Copy !req
78. I just want to stop you boys gettin' up
against the law over nothin'.Copy !req
79. You knew that old guy in there
weren't Holiday!Copy !req
80. This just about does it, Earp.Copy !req
81. Try callin' me Marshal,
and rememberin' it, too.Copy !req
82. Well, Marshal, you got an answer?Copy !req
83. I don't have to answer you,
I'll answer the committee if need be.Copy !req
84. Now, get back to
the ranch while you can still ride.Copy !req
85. - I don't take no orders from you!
- Leave it, Billy.Copy !req
86. Earp won't be givin' any orders
when Pa gets through with him.Copy !req
87. He'll lose that star so fast it'll burn
a hole in his coat. Come on, Billy.Copy !req
88. We'll be seein' you, Earp.Copy !req
89. My pleasure.Copy !req
90. Boy, you maybe don't realise
just how close that was.Copy !req
91. Well, for what we did not receive,Copy !req
92. may the good Lord make us
truly thankful.Copy !req
93. Amen.Copy !req
94. And now, friends, shall we take this
sinner to the abode of the unrighteous?Copy !req
95. Amen.Copy !req
96. Well, I reckon he'll live,
but he ain't gonna enjoy it for a while.Copy !req
97. Was it necessary for Mr Werp
to hit him so hard?Copy !req
98. Now then, Doctor, it wasn't your neck
in the noose just now.Copy !req
99. I for one am very grateful to
Mr Werp... Earp.Copy !req
100. Oh, my pleasure, boy.Copy !req
101. We shan't be here to see the outcome.
Tomorrow morning we're leaving.Copy !req
102. Goodbye, Mr Werp.Copy !req
103. Oh, uh, goodbye, Doc.Copy !req
104. Can't say I'm sorry.Copy !req
105. Get me Johnny Ringo. Get him. Whiskey.Copy !req
106. But, Pa, Ringo rides alone,
you know that.Copy !req
107. He mightn't wanna join up with us.Copy !req
108. - What was I paying Harper?
- $100.Copy !req
109. - Well, offer Ringo 500.
- Oh, come on, Pa. Nobody's worth that.Copy !req
110. Not worth it?Copy !req
111. If I had the sons who could do the job
without gettin' all fouled out,Copy !req
112. I wouldn't have to pay him.
But, as of now, I need a top gun.Copy !req
113. Listen, Pa, when the citizens' committee
hear what we've got on Earp, they...Copy !req
114. The citizen's committee?
Pack of feeble-minded old women.Copy !req
115. Think they're gonna run him out office
on account of what you tell 'em?Copy !req
116. Come on.Copy !req
117. We'll get Holiday, Pa.
All we need is time.Copy !req
118. All you need is guts, boy.Copy !req
119. And all I need is Johnny Ringo,
so find out where he's atCopy !req
120. and get him on out up the ranch.Copy !req
121. Okay, Pa.Copy !req
122. Yes, Dodo. Well, my boy, presumably
she spent the evening in her room.Copy !req
123. Oh, pardon me, but are you alludin' to
your friend Miss Dodo Dupont?Copy !req
124. Of course, of course.Copy !req
125. Well, I'm sorry folks,
but she ain't in her room no more.Copy !req
126. Why, whatever for?Copy !req
127. Well, on account she checked out
a while back.Copy !req
128. Checked out? But...Copy !req
129. She lit out after the killin'
with Doc Holiday.Copy !req
130. Was with him when he shot Seth Harper,
right where you're standin'.Copy !req
131. What, she was with Holiday?Copy !req
132. Surely was.
Him, her an Kate lit out together,Copy !req
133. friendly as you please.Copy !req
134. Look, surely she left a message
of some sort?Copy !req
135. Now, mister,
If'n you're involved in a killin',Copy !req
136. you don't leave no messages. You git.Copy !req
137. Well, we've got to find her, fast.Copy !req
138. Well, friend, you wanna find her,
you find Doc Holiday.Copy !req
139. Now, don't be ridiculous.
Doc Holiday's a great friend of mine.Copy !req
140. He gave me a gun, he extracted my tooth.Copy !req
141. Good gracious me, what more do you want?Copy !req
142. Come along, boy. Come along, come along.Copy !req
143. Doctor, he's a gunman.Copy !req
144. His next extraction's gonna be a bullet.Copy !req
145. I reckon this'll do us for the night, Kate.Copy !req
146. There's a bar right across the street
an' a gamblin' saloon real close.Copy !req
147. Doc, we ain't far enough
out of Tombstone.Copy !req
148. We could have ridden 30,
40 miles by mornin'.Copy !req
149. There ain't no sense in riding too farCopy !req
150. when we may have to
go back again real soon.Copy !req
151. Come on, Kate.Copy !req
152. - But, Doc...
- Come on, will you!Copy !req
153. Back to Tombstone, Doc?Copy !req
154. You wanna get yourself killed, is that it?Copy !req
155. All I want is to get myself a drink.Copy !req
156. Look, I promised Wyatt I'd stay close.Copy !req
157. Yeah, and Wyatt just got through
drivin' ya out, remember?Copy !req
158. Hey, he'll be wantin' me back again
soon as the real trouble starts.Copy !req
159. Real trouble?Copy !req
160. Now look, Kate, there's only him
and Masterson to handle thingsCopy !req
161. if old man Clanton should chance to
throw anything against 'em,Copy !req
162. and I gotta get back.Copy !req
163. I've got to get back, too, remember.Copy !req
164. Sure, I promised the little lady that
I'd see her back home with her friends.Copy !req
165. Now, Kate, you know that a gentleman
has to take account of these things.Copy !req
166. Right now I'm goin' to rustle up
some food for us all.Copy !req
167. Huh, him and his promises.Copy !req
168. Nice to find someone
who keeps their word.Copy !req
169. It's all he ever kept in his life, honey.Copy !req
170. Lost everythin' else he ever had.Copy !req
171. Not again!Copy !req
172. It's all right, ladies, it's all right.Copy !req
173. I just ran into an old friend and he, uh...Copy !req
174. He kind of lost his appetite.Copy !req
175. Sorry, stranger, the bar is closed.Copy !req
176. Is that so?Copy !req
177. You can just open it up again.Copy !req
178. Now see here.Copy !req
179. Ringo.Copy !req
180. - Johnny Ringo.
- Shut up.Copy !req
181. Give me a drink.Copy !req
182. Yes, sir, Mr Ringo. What'll it be, sir?Copy !req
183. Double straight.Copy !req
184. Hey, how come you know my name?Copy !req
185. I guess everybody...Copy !req
186. I mean, I sure enough heard about you.Copy !req
187. What have you heard?Copy !req
188. Well... nothin', sir.Copy !req
189. - Nothin' at all.
- So what's your name?Copy !req
190. - Charlie, sir.
- Charlie, eh?Copy !req
191. So you ain't heard nothing about me?Copy !req
192. - No, no, I ain't.
- Ain't very flattering, is it?Copy !req
193. I guess not.Copy !req
194. I mean...
Well, what I was meaning was...Copy !req
195. Yeah. Go on, go on, Charlie.Copy !req
196. I heard somethin' about you
this evenin', as a matter of fact.Copy !req
197. A coupla boys was askin' after you.Copy !req
198. Who?Copy !req
199. Two of the Clantons. Ike and Billy, it was.Copy !req
200. And what was they askin'?Copy !req
201. Well, they said to try and git word to youCopy !req
202. as their Pa would pay you 500Copy !req
203. if you'll throw in with them
agin Wyatt Earp.Copy !req
204. I've got business of my own
to settle first.Copy !req
205. Personal business with Doc Holiday.Copy !req
206. Why now, Mr Ringo, excuse meCopy !req
207. and it ain't strictly none of my business,Copy !req
208. but I reckon that'll suit them just fine.Copy !req
209. 'Cause they're a-laying for Holiday, too!Copy !req
210. Is that so?Copy !req
211. Then here's something else
you can tell 'em.Copy !req
212. Holiday's mine.Copy !req
213. I trailed him clear away from
Fort Griffin, understand?Copy !req
214. Yeah, sure, Mr Ringo.Copy !req
215. Oh, give it here. I'll do the pourin'.Copy !req
216. You sure got the shakes real bad.Copy !req
217. It's, uh...Copy !req
218. It's on the house, sir.Copy !req
219. I never figured different.Copy !req
220. I can't wait to see Wyatt Earp's face
when he hears you're goin' against him.Copy !req
221. Plannin' on tellin' him?Copy !req
222. Why, no, Mr Ringo.
I was only ea yin'...Copy !req
223. Ah, Charlie, Charlie.Copy !req
224. You say too much, huh?Copy !req
225. I-I-I won't say nothin' to nobody.Copy !req
226. Now ain't that just the truth.Copy !req
227. Hey, Charlie?Copy !req
228. Goodnight, Charlie.Copy !req
229. Eh!Copy !req
230. You ready to leave?Copy !req
231. I'm ready to jump like a mountain hare,Copy !req
232. you come bursting in here
like that, missy.Copy !req
233. You said you were taking me
back to my friends today.Copy !req
234. Yeah, today. Or the day after.Copy !req
235. You promised!Copy !req
236. I promised to take you back safe home
and I will do so in my own good time.Copy !req
237. We're leaving now.Copy !req
238. What're you aiming to do
with that there offensive weapon?Copy !req
239. Shoot you if I have to.Copy !req
240. Now, how do you reckon to get back
to Tombstone without me?Copy !req
241. I shall try not to kill you.
I shall aim for your arm.Copy !req
242. That's real thoughtful.Copy !req
243. Just at the moment you're aiming
right between my eyes.Copy !req
244. Oh, I'm sorry. Is that better?Copy !req
245. It's an improvement.Copy !req
246. Right, now take me back to Tombstone.Copy !req
247. Well, seems like
I ain't got no alternative.Copy !req
248. No, Doctor Holiday,
I don't believe you have.Copy !req
249. Then I promise on my oath
as a gentleman of GeorgiaCopy !req
250. that I will take you back to Tombstone
by nightfall.Copy !req
251. Oh, thank goodness for that.Copy !req
252. Would you mind getting me
a glass of water?Copy !req
253. - Yeah, sure.
- I feel rather faint.Copy !req
254. Now what in Hades goes on here?Copy !req
255. The little lady and I have to go
right back to Tombstone right away.Copy !req
256. Oh, and what about me?Copy !req
257. You stay here and I'll come back
and get you.Copy !req
258. Stay here? Doc Holiday,
you ain't Plannin' on runnin' off?Copy !req
259. Now, Kate, for the first time in my lifeCopy !req
260. I have just been taken,
beaten to the draw.Copy !req
261. Oh, I honestly didn't want to
have to shoot you.Copy !req
262. And I didn't want to have to
shoot you, neither.Copy !req
263. Well, as soon as we've had breakfast,
my boy,Copy !req
264. I must check up with Mr Werp and ask him
if he knows where they've all gone.Copy !req
265. Hmm, right.Copy !req
266. Doctor, look!Copy !req
267. High livin' and hard liquor.Copy !req
268. - It don't pay.
- Yeah, but he's been shot.Copy !req
269. Is that so?Copy !req
270. Eh, something towards
your funeral, friend.Copy !req
271. Er, yes, er, excuse me, sir,
but I think under the circumstances,Copy !req
272. you'd better remain here
until Mr Werp arrives.Copy !req
273. You aimin' to make me?Copy !req
274. Ah, no, no.Copy !req
275. The only man in the territory low enough
to kill an unarmed barmanCopy !req
276. - is Doc Holiday.
- Hey, wait a minute!Copy !req
277. You know Holiday?Copy !req
278. And what's that to you?Copy !req
279. - Well, we must find him.
- Why is that?Copy !req
280. Well, you see, a young lady
of our acquaintance is with him.Copy !req
281. And what are you gonna do
when you find him?Copy !req
282. (HESITATING) Well, we'll take her
away from himCopy !req
283. - and bring her back here, of course.
- Plannin' on gunnin' him down, eh?Copy !req
284. Oh certainly not, sir, certainly not.Copy !req
285. I mean, we're just going to
er, well, er, reason with him.Copy !req
286. Now that I'd really like to see.
(CHUCKLES)Copy !req
287. - (SOFTLY) Do you know who that is?
- (SOFTLY) Who?Copy !req
288. - That's Johnny Ringo.
- Who, that?Copy !req
289. Yes.Copy !req
290. Say, boy.Copy !req
291. Uh, yeah?Copy !req
292. seein' as you an me's got
common cause gettin' Doc Holiday,Copy !req
293. supposin' I was to let you ride with me?Copy !req
294. - Well, you know where he is?
- Reckon I do.Copy !req
295. Well, we'd be mighty grateful.Copy !req
296. I'm sure you would, Pop.Copy !req
297. There's just one thing.Copy !req
298. If you get between me and him, boy,
don't go looking to me to hold my fire.Copy !req
299. I'd blast you down as soon as spit at you!Copy !req
300. Thanks.Copy !req
301. Disgusting habit.Copy !req
302. So brother Morgan can't make it, huh?Copy !req
303. T'ain't for me to tell ya.Copy !req
304. Got himself mixed up in a range war,
Abilene way.Copy !req
305. Any word from Virgil?Copy !req
306. No. Could be anywhere between
here and Montana.Copy !req
307. One way and another seems lucky
you got me around,Copy !req
308. and Morgan's been teachin' me
how to handle a gun.Copy !req
309. Oh, not at your age, my lad,
and not against these dirty Clantons.Copy !req
310. How long are you all figuring
on k-k-keepin' me here?Copy !req
311. Just as long as it takes till
the judge hits town.Copy !req
312. Well, when that judge hears about
you protectin' Doc Holiday,Copy !req
313. just you see what happens!Copy !req
314. Did I, er... Did I hear
the name Doc Holiday mentioned?Copy !req
315. You sure did!Copy !req
316. Yes, well I've got news of him.Copy !req
317. Well, I thought you'd left town.Copy !req
318. Well Dodo, you see. I mean, er,
Miss Dupont has gone off with him,Copy !req
319. and young Steven is following up
and I've got to wait.Copy !req
320. You mean Regret has gone after
Holiday alone?Copy !req
321. No, no, my dear Marshal, no.Copy !req
322. He's gone with a young man
by the name of Ringo.Copy !req
323. - Ringo?
Ringo!Copy !req
324. Yes, yes. You've got a photograph
of him here, look.Copy !req
325. That's all we needed.Copy !req
326. Boy, the hosts of Midian
are sure on the prowl tonight.Copy !req
327. Why, is he another friend
of the Clantons?Copy !req
328. Ringo is a friend of nobody.Copy !req
329. Professional gunfighter,
sells his self to the highest bidder.Copy !req
330. Yeah, and I reckon I know who that'll be.Copy !req
331. Better let me outta here while
there's still time, Earp.Copy !req
332. Oh, shut up.Copy !req
333. Yes. There's one more thing.
I have to report a murder.Copy !req
334. - Yeah?
- Yes, the barman at the Last Chance.Copy !req
335. I believe his name is Charlie, isn't it?Copy !req
336. Charlie?
Who in thunder'd wanna kill Charlie?Copy !req
337. Ho, that Ringo sure works fast.Copy !req
338. Well, Warren, my lad,
guess I'm gonna have toCopy !req
339. leave you in charge after all, huh?Copy !req
340. C'mon, Bat, let's get out to that
Last Chance Saloon.Copy !req
341. Are you going to be all right?Copy !req
342. Look, what makes you think
we're gonna find him in this town?Copy !req
343. On account it's the only one
since Tombstone.Copy !req
344. Doc'll be thirsty.Copy !req
345. Well, how are we gonna find him?Copy !req
346. Well, I'll take this side,
you take the other.Copy !req
347. - Yeah.
- Try the saloon, huh?Copy !req
348. Hey, wait! How am I going to know him?Copy !req
349. (LAUGHS) You'll know him, boy.
You'll know him.Copy !req
350. Yeah, right. I'll see you back here.Copy !req
351. Yep.Copy !req
352. Good evening, Kate.Copy !req
353. Well, ain't you glad to see me?Copy !req
354. - Johnny!
- Well, ain't you?Copy !req
355. Well, just kind of surprised, that's all.Copy !req
356. Yeah, I'll bet.Copy !req
357. I heard you was gonna be hitched
to Doc HolidayCopy !req
358. so I just came to congratulate you,
you and the bridegroom both.Copy !req
359. Oh, he ain't no bridegroom of mine,
Johnny.Copy !req
360. That ain't what I heard.Copy !req
361. Oh, but it's true. He ran out on me
soon as we left Tombstone.Copy !req
362. Now, why would he do a fool thing
like that, pretty girl like you, huh?Copy !req
363. Oh, I, uh...Copy !req
364. I guess he found him
a prettier one, Johnny.Copy !req
365. - Regret's girl?
- Yeah.Copy !req
366. So where's he takin' her?Copy !req
367. They was headed for New Mexico.Copy !req
368. (SARCASTICALLY) New Mexico.Copy !req
369. Now, Johnny, would I lie to you?Copy !req
370. Well, I guess he'll just have to wait
till I finish this job in Tombstone.Copy !req
371. - What job?
- You'll find out when we get there.Copy !req
372. When "we" get there?Copy !req
