1. Inform base security that a further intruder craft has been located,

2. I obey.

3. Security patrols five and seven will converge on this area.

4. Priority alert. Invaders to be located and destroyed.

5. A message from the Dalek Supreme.

6. Operation Inferno to be put into execution at once.

7. Inform all units. Evacuate patrols to safety areas.

8. Confirm with units in position.

9. On confirmation, start abbreviated countdown

10. for Operation Inferno.

11. Mavic Chen, Guardian of the solar system?

12. Yes.

13. I am Zephon.

14. - Master of the fifth galaxy. - Of course.

15. I had hoped to meet you once before, at the Intergalactic Conference of Andromeda.

16. I did not attend, and now you know the reason.

17. The Daleks held a separate council at the same time.

18. No one from the outer galaxies went to yours.

19. Hum... except Trantis.

20. We agreed to send a delegate in order that the conference should not become suspicious.

21. I've been reading the reports on the previous meetings.

22. The Daleks have evolved a most interesting plan.

23. We of the outer galaxies have contributed to it also.

24. Of course.

25. But you must admit, the Daleks have a... a genius for war.

26. That is so.

27. However, one thing surprises me.

28. That you, Guardian of the solar system,

29. have agreed to become one of us.

30. Why the surprise?

31. As you say, I am Guardian of the solar system.

32. That is nothing more than a part, however influential, of one galaxy.

33. Would you be satisfied with just a part of a galaxy?

34. The solar system is exceptional.

35. In its power lie influences far outside its own sphere.

36. Surely, by joining with the forces determined to destroy that power,

37. - you must rank as a supreme traitor? - Traitor?

38. An archaic word for so advanced a... man as yourself.

39. Considering that the planet Fisar and the Emodyment Gris

40. have both at different times tried to depose you,

41. do you remain the mouthpiece for the galaxy?

42. I do.

43. Now that I am all-powerful in my position.

44. True. But then you do not understand the conflicting powers within our solar system.

45. Let us take some air. This is hardly the place for a serious discussion.

46. - But first we must... - Some air.

47. Report!

48. - Guardian of the solar system... - Chen...

49. Must be watched.

50. His ambitions exceed his usefulness.

51. When he has served his purpose, he, like the others, will be eliminated.

52. No power in this universe can stop the Daleks.

53. - Where's the Doctor? - He will be here soon.

54. I don't understand.

55. Where are we? I can't think straight.

56. You must rest. The tablets I gave you have made you better, but you must still rest.

57. Tablets? What's going on here?

58. - What are we doing out here in the jungle? - We had to leave the temple. The TARDIS.

59. - The evil ones came. - Evil ones?

60. - He called them the Daleks. - Daleks?

61. Katarina!

62. - My lord! - Doctor. What are you both doing here?

63. The evil ones searched for us but Bret helped us. He said they were evil.

64. - Whoever this Bret is, he's quite right. - Bret is the man you put in your magic chair.

65. - That young ruffian? - But he helped us.

66. - You released him? - When the evil ones came,

67. - he said we had to flee from your temple. - My TARDIS.

68. He wasn't to know that you were safe from the Daleks in there. How is this young man?

69. - I be all right in a minute. - Good.

70. Bret says the time is 4000, and he came here and only just got away from the evil ones.

71. He gave Steven some white tablets, and he's almost well again.

72. Yes, I see.

73. I clamped him in that chair, and he's the very fellow with the antitoxin!

74. Well, young man, you'd better pull yourself together. We've got some work to do.

75. Operate pyro-flames.

76. We obey.

77. Aren't you feeling better?

78. - I think I can manage on my own. - Carefully.

79. Just rest for a minute.

80. Take a few deep breaths, hm?

81. Don't try to run before you can walk, although you might have to.

82. It's Bret, isn't it? Thank you. What's happening?

83. The Daleks are using flame guns. I think they want to burn down the jungle.

84. We must get back to the TARDIS. We're in grave danger here.

85. It's a trap. That's what they want us to do! We can't act without thinking.

86. - I never do and never shall! - You were going to the TARDIS.

87. - We should never have left it. - It's the safest place.

88. - If the Daleks are outside, it will be suicide. - Not necessarily.

89. - Who will play the scapegoat? - What if he's right?

90. - He might be, but I know the Daleks. - So do I!

91. We should stay here until we know what they're up to.

92. - They could track us down. - We'd hear them. The Mechanoids...

93. - They were robots! - So what?

94. These are Daleks! I'm in charge of this...

95. Sir! Will you shut up?

96. - At least that stopped you arguing. - Well, upon my soul!

97. I don't care about you, but I have got to warn Earth.

98. You will have to do far more than that.

99. If the Daleks are doing something drastic, then we have to stop the Daleks!

100. Now, will you shut up, sir? Hm?

101. - One, learn the Dalek plans. - I know.

102. And two, get the information back to Earth.

103. Think back for a moment.

104. Just think back. If the Daleks are going to attack Earth, as you seem to fear,

105. then you must tell Earth

106. to look back in the history of the year 2157, and that the Daleks are going to attack again.

107. - History will show how to deal with them. - Who cares about history?

108. I can smell smoke!

109. Look!

110. You're quite right, young man.

111. - They're going to trap us. - It's like a wall of fire.

112. No, no. Not quite, my dear.

113. We're going to get out of here. Come on. This way.

114. - This is the way to the Dalek city. - Of course.

115. It's the last place they'll expect us to go. Come along!

116. The magnificent power of the flame!

117. Primitive but efficient.

118. You, too, would have used ultrasonic?

119. If I had nothing better.

120. The meeting must start soon.

121. You appear so keen to be a model delegate,

122. one might think you were afraid of the Daleks.

123. A dangerous statement.

124. - Remember where you are. - Hah (!)

125. The solar system is so far behind that it believes the Daleks need to eavesdrop!

126. Of course not.

127. The Daleks needed me.

128. With my help, they have the co-operation of the Masters of Celation and Beaus.

129. We are on equal terms.

130. Really?

131. Three galaxies for the price of one (!)

132. I do not understand you.

133. Perhaps I'm one of those who knows my place.

134. Are you coming in to take your seat?

135. They will not start the meeting without me.

136. I feel like waiting here.

137. Zephon?

138. It was expected. His usefulness is over.

139. - Look at that. - Just look at those ships.

140. - Beautiful, aren't they? - That one in the middle is from Earth.

141. - It's Mavic Chen's! - You know that spaceship?

142. Yes. It belongs to the Guardian of the solar system.

143. - Then you'll know how to fly it. - Yes.

144. - That's the one to go for! - I can't believe it.

145. - It doesn't make sense. - If you know how to use it,

146. - what's the worry? - He's the Guardian, don't You undestood?

147. - So what? We just want his ship. - He's the head of the solar system.

148. - What's he doing with the Daleks? - Be quiet, please!

149. We have to take that spaceship, and warn Earth.

150. Look out!

151. Where is the Master of Zephon?

152. He will be here.

153. Eventually.

154. Search for him!

155. What is it? I've never seen anything like this. It's hideous.

156. It's quite obvious. He's one of the representatives.

157. It's a good job we found these vines.

158. - Now we can get to the ship. - No, no. Not yet.

159. Not until we find out exactly what the Daleks are planning,

160. and this may be our only chance.

161. I don't understand.

162. - I'm going to that conference. - That's crazy!

163. - You can't go to their conference. - If I wear his cloak, why not?

164. - They could kill you. - Take over the spaceship.

165. - I'll join you later. - Will you be safe?

166. Yes. Now, don't worry, my child. Don't worry.

167. I er...

168. I found this, and I don't know whether it's relevant or not, but hold on to it safely.

169. - Where did you find it? - In the jungle.

170. Give me enough time to get to that meeting and find out what's going on.

171. - Then I'll come to Chen's spaceship. - How long will that take?

172. I shall leave that to your own judgment. If you hear any kind of uproar, go without me.

173. - Doctor, we can't leave you. - Nonsense!

174. Earth must be warned about the Daleks and about Chen.

175. - You're a very brave man. - Rubbish, my boy.

176. I'm only doing what has to be done.

177. Now, come on. Help me with this cloak. Be quick about it. Come on.

178. Has the representative Zephon passed this way?

179. He and the Earth creature went to the reception area.

180. Has he returned?

181. Only the creature from Earth returned this way.

182. Zephon must still be there.

183. Come with me. He has to be found,

184. Representative Zephon?

185. The meeting is about to begin. You will follow me.

186. The old man certainly has got nerve.

187. - The strange ones will not hurt him? - I hope not.

188. Anyway, he's doing his part, we must do ours.

189. Let's get that ship.

190. The Master of the fifth galaxy has seen fit to join us?

191. Take your place.

192. You seem lost, representative Zephon.

193. Here's your place, next to me.

194. This meeting is now in session.

195. Representatives, I have important news.

196. The time destruct or is now completed.

197. It only requires the core to be fitted.

198. Mavic Chen, Guardian of the solar system,

199. will address the meeting.

200. As your most recent ally

201. and the newest member to stand in this great universal council,

202. I am delighted to be able to make so significant a contribution

203. to our conquest of the universe.

204. I now present you with the core of the time destruct or.

205. A full emm of taranium, the rarest mineral in the universe.

206. It's taken 50 Earth years to acquire even this amount.

207. If it has taken so long for the solar system to acquire it,

208. why were not one of us of the outer galaxies asked to provide it?

209. As the Daleks know,

210. taranium can only be found on one of the dead planets of the solar system.

211. Without this, the time destruct or is useless.

212. All the plans made here could not succeed.

213. I, Mavic Chen,

214. give you the core of the time destruct or!

215. I'm taking over this spaceship. Over there!

216. Tie them up.

217. The men will not be found?

218. - Not unless the Daleks patrol the landing area. - They won't.

219. Let's hope not. Otherwise, it's the end of the Doctor.

220. He must come. He must come!

221. Locate intruders!

222. What's happening?

223. Stop him!

224. Stop the creature!

225. Stop the creature!

226. - We've got to go! - We mustn't leave him!

227. Great One, don't leave us.

228. Don't let the strange beings catch you.

229. - He's been caught. We must leave. - No.

230. - He said we had to. - No!

231. Stop! Without him, we can't reach the place of perfection.

232. We won't. We're going without him.
