1. Previously on Dexter...Copy !req
2. Who is Dexter Morgan?Copy !req
3. He's just a jerk who works
for Miami Metro Homicide.Copy !req
4. - That's Dexter Morgan.
- His face...Copy !req
5. it looks familiar.Copy !req
6. Only one person who worked
at Miami Metro took blood slides...Copy !req
7. Sergeant Doakes,
the Bay Harbor Butcher.Copy !req
8. Same type of weapon
used on Mike Anderson.Copy !req
9. Are we sure this Alex Dubrozny guy
shot Mike Anderson?Copy !req
10. Because it smells like a setup.Copy !req
11. Hannah McKay,
she spent six years in juvie...Copy !req
12. after pleading guilty to being
Randall's accomplice.Copy !req
13. She always claimed she was just
another one of his victims.Copy !req
14. That what you're doing,
to help us find the other bodies?Copy !req
15. My lawyer said it was for the best.Copy !req
16. Do you understand your rights?Copy !req
17. He didn't say, "Yes." He walked.Copy !req
18. - There is nothing we can do.
- Fuck that. Fuck all of this.Copy !req
19. But there is something I can do.Copy !req
20. That smoke.Copy !req
21. It's Speltzer.Copy !req
22. How do you feel?Copy !req
23. Glad.Copy !req
24. What does that make me?Copy !req
25. It never ends, does it?
The maintenance.Copy !req
26. I don't mind it.Copy !req
27. It's the one thing
that never changes.Copy !req
28. The waves keep rolling in...Copy !req
29. wearing everything down
in their path a little more every day.Copy !req
30. Harrison's coming home.
I wanna have the boat ready.Copy !req
31. - So life's back to normal?
- A new normal.Copy !req
32. Deb's not poring over
the past anymore.Copy !req
33. We're on course, moving forward.Copy !req
34. Life can be less complicated now.Copy !req
35. You don't believe that.Copy !req
36. - Why not? She didn't abandon me.
- She didn't accept you either.Copy !req
37. - She doesn't know what to think.
- She's adjusting.Copy !req
38. I did everything in my power to protect
her from you, what you really are.Copy !req
39. - A monster?
- Your words.Copy !req
40. Your thoughts.Copy !req
41. You didn't think she could handle it
because you couldn't. Deb is stronger.Copy !req
42. For now.Copy !req
43. But the long-term exposure...Copy !req
44. it's going to eat away at her,
like salt water on steel.Copy !req
45. Blood.Copy !req
46. It's not from Viktor.
I never leave a mess behind.Copy !req
47. Who's been on my boat?Copy !req
48. This is too much blood.Copy !req
49. Someone died here.Copy !req
50. Someone I didn't kill.Copy !req
51. Who are you?Copy !req
52. If I'm getting shit-canned
and you know something about it...Copy !req
53. just give me a heads-up, all right?
We're bros.Copy !req
54. First of all, we are not
and never will be bros.Copy !req
55. Secondly, I've told you a million times,
I don't know anything.Copy !req
56. Really? Then why did your voice
just rise?Copy !req
57. Look, I took a class
in paralinguistics.Copy !req
58. Change in pitch,
dead giveaway for lying.Copy !req
59. Get away from my desk.Copy !req
60. - Am I getting the axe?
- You are if you don't get out of my way.Copy !req
61. I got off the phone and LaGuerta's
processing evidence at a private lab.Copy !req
62. What are you talking about?Copy !req
63. A charred blood slide containing
the blood of one Travis Marshall.Copy !req
64. I asked myself, "Vince, if your
boss is processing evidence...Copy !req
65. - ... at another lab—"
- Blood slide? Are you certain?Copy !req
66. Increase in vocal volume,
indicating emotional dissonance.Copy !req
67. You know something. I'm fucked.Copy !req
68. I am sure that LaGuerta is using
an outside lab...Copy !req
69. because she knows
how slammed you are.Copy !req
70. - I'll look into this, so just fucking relax.
- Okay. Thanks, LT. You rock.Copy !req
71. - Got a second?
- Sure.Copy !req
72. Masuka got wind that you're using
an outside lab to run evidence...Copy !req
73. and he thinks he's gonna get fired.
ls there anything I should know?Copy !req
74. I needed a second pair of eyes
on something.Copy !req
75. It's nothing.Copy !req
76. Does this have anything to do
with the Bay Harbor Butcher?Copy !req
77. Lundy carried that notebook
everywhere he went.Copy !req
78. Get the door.Copy !req
79. This has to remain between
you and me.Copy !req
80. Of course.Copy !req
81. I had a lab analyse a blood slide
that I found at the abandoned church.Copy !req
82. A blood slide,
like a Bay Harbor Butcher trophy?Copy !req
83. Travis Marshall's blood was on it.Copy !req
84. Doakes was the Bay Harbor Butcher
and Doakes is dead.Copy !req
85. Well, what if it wasn't Doakes?Copy !req
86. What if the Bay Harbor Butcher
is still alive and at work?Copy !req
87. What if he killed Travis Marshall?Copy !req
88. Except Travis Marshall wasn't cut up
into pieces and put into bags.Copy !req
89. But the fact
that the Bay Harbor Butcher kept...Copy !req
90. blood slides was never released
to the public.Copy !req
91. It's probably not some copycat.
How do you explain this?Copy !req
92. I can't.Copy !req
93. I know it sounds impossible but...Copy !req
94. I never believed that Doakes
was a killer.Copy !req
95. And from his notes,
Lundy had his doubts too.Copy !req
96. Well, you can add me to that list.Copy !req
97. Doakes was my partner.Copy !req
98. He was a good man.Copy !req
99. Is there anything I can do to help?Copy !req
100. You have no idea how good it is
to hear you say that.Copy !req
101. I've been keeping this all to myself.Copy !req
102. Your eyes only.Copy !req
103. My eyes only.Copy !req
104. Fuck.Copy !req
105. Fuck.Copy !req
106. Motherfucking suck bag.Copy !req
107. You cock-munching,
fucking fuck nugget.Copy !req
108. Fuck.Copy !req
109. The blood on my boat belongs to...Copy !req
110. Louis Greene?Copy !req
111. Louis is dead?Copy !req
112. Why was he killed on my boat?Copy !req
113. Why would he have even been
on my boat?Copy !req
114. Why . . .Copy !req
115. - ... Is my sister looking at me like that?
- Dex.Copy !req
116. We are in a storm of fuck.Copy !req
117. LaGuerta found a slide
with Travis Marshall's blood on it...Copy !req
118. at the fucking church.Copy !req
119. - That's not good.
- How the fuck do you lose a slide?Copy !req
120. Deb, you know that night
wasn't my usual scenario.Copy !req
121. Are you saying it's my fault...Copy !req
122. LaGuerta thinks
the Bay Harbor Butcher is alive?Copy !req
123. No, that's not what I meant but...Copy !req
124. that night at the church
wasn't exactly by the playbook.Copy !req
125. I talked LaGuerta into letting me help
with the investigation...Copy !req
126. so I can keep tabs
on what's happening.Copy !req
127. You what? No.Copy !req
128. I'll deal with this.
I don't want you involved.Copy !req
129. Well, it's a little fucking late for that.Copy !req
130. She wants to talk to the friends
and family of everyone on this list...Copy !req
131. who's gone missing
since Doakes died.Copy !req
132. They all the fit the victim profile
of the Bay Harbor Butcher.Copy !req
133. Anyone here that you recognise?Copy !req
134. These three are mine.Copy !req
135. This is never gonna end, is it?Copy !req
136. They were bad people, Deb...Copy !req
137. who would've continued
to do bad things.Copy !req
138. This is the only one
with family in Miami: Phillip Barnes.Copy !req
139. So when LaGuerta and I
split up the list...Copy !req
140. I'll make sure I get his family.Copy !req
141. - No, I don't like you doing this.
- I don't give a fuck...Copy !req
142. what you like, Dexter.Copy !req
143. It's beyond that. This is my ass too.Copy !req
144. Tell me what I need to know
about Barnes.Copy !req
145. He was a wedding photographer.Copy !req
146. He would find a guest from out
of town. Young, female, by herself.Copy !req
147. He would charm her,
invite her back to his hotel.Copy !req
148. She'd never come home.Copy !req
149. He took pictures of what he did.Copy !req
150. So, what did you do?Copy !req
151. He was going out of town
for another job...Copy !req
152. so I nabbed him after a reception.Copy !req
153. A reception?Copy !req
154. A fucking wedding reception?Copy !req
155. Dexter, what if Barnes
got a picture of you?Copy !req
156. - Deb, it was a wedding.
- What if someone remembers you?Copy !req
157. Everyone was concentrating on the
bride and groom. I slipped in and out.Copy !req
158. It's fine.Copy !req
159. - What if you're wrong?
- I'm not.Copy !req
160. LaGuerta will not tie me to this.
There's no body, no proof.Copy !req
161. Stay away from it, okay?Copy !req
162. First thing I have to do is find out
why Louis was killed on my boat.Copy !req
163. My curtains are open.Copy !req
164. With Harrison gone,
Jamie is not around.Copy !req
165. Someone has been
in my apartment.Copy !req
166. Maybe still is.Copy !req
167. Hey, Dex. It's Sam.Copy !req
168. Just wanna confirm we're still on
for 1:00 at Schooner or Later...Copy !req
169. at 12th and Bayshore Drive.
See you there.Copy !req
170. I've met him before at the bar
at The Fox Hole...Copy !req
171. owned by the Koshka Brotherhood.Copy !req
172. The man who killed Mike Anderson,
Viktor Baskov...Copy !req
173. was one of the Koshkas.Copy !req
174. Could they have figured out I killed
Viktor and sent a hit man after me?Copy !req
175. - Excuse me.
- Yes.Copy !req
176. I think I have a phone call for you.Copy !req
177. A small coffee, please.Copy !req
178. - Hello?
- Why were you in my apartment?Copy !req
179. Well, aren't you Mr. Smarty-Pants?Copy !req
180. Answer the question.
What were you doing in my place?Copy !req
181. I was looking to have a discussion
about a friend who's gone missing.Copy !req
182. Viktor. I'm sure you remember him.Copy !req
183. I have no idea
who you're talking about.Copy !req
184. - I don't care for lies.
- I told you, I don't know who that is.Copy !req
185. You're wasting both our time.Copy !req
186. Louis Greene,
who I found on your boat...Copy !req
187. the boat that was used
to dump Viktor in the ocean...Copy !req
188. - ... gave me your name.
- So you killed Louis.Copy !req
189. We had a conversation
that ended rather abruptly, yes.Copy !req
190. What else did Louis say?Copy !req
191. I believe he may have referred
to you as a douche bag.Copy !req
192. - You think you're very clever.
- I do, actually, yes.Copy !req
193. Your bosses
at the Koshka Brotherhood...Copy !req
194. they sent you?Copy !req
195. You've done your homework.Copy !req
196. There are no bosses telling me
what to do.Copy !req
197. Viktor was a friend of mine.
This is personal.Copy !req
198. So an eye for an eye, huh?Copy !req
199. Your friend Viktor kills
an innocent woman and a cop...Copy !req
200. and killing me somehow
settles the score?Copy !req
201. Oh, you misunderstand me.Copy !req
202. I'm not stopping with you.Copy !req
203. I also want any of your police officer
friends involved in this little vendetta.Copy !req
204. - Wait.
- Including your lieutenant sister.Copy !req
205. I've done my homework too.Copy !req
206. It was just me.
She had nothing to do with this.Copy !req
207. Hello, handsome.Copy !req
208. I work alone.Copy !req
209. I killed Viktor, only me.
I'll see you around.Copy !req
210. That's the plan.Copy !req
211. Why in fuckville are you telling me
to meet you in the parking garage?Copy !req
212. Because of him.Copy !req
213. - Do you wanna be more specific?
- His name is Isaak Sirko.Copy !req
214. He's part of the Koshka Brotherhood.
He's after me.Copy !req
215. But don't worry.
I'm gonna take care of it.Copy !req
216. - What did you do?
- But you could be in danger too.Copy !req
217. That's why you need to know.
That's why we're meeting—Copy !req
218. - Dex.
- But I'm gonna handle this.Copy !req
219. Why is he after you?Copy !req
220. Viktor Baskov.Copy !req
221. Viktor Baskov disappeared.Copy !req
222. - You killed him.
- He killed Mike Anderson.Copy !req
223. What about the guy
that said he killed Mike?Copy !req
224. The bartender
that blew his brains out?Copy !req
225. Someone put him up to it,
Isaak probably.Copy !req
226. So that you would close the case
and move on.Copy !req
227. This is un-fucking-real.Copy !req
228. Viktor Baskov was on his way back
to Kiev. I had to kill him.Copy !req
229. I didn't have any time.
There wasn't—Copy !req
230. Time? You didn't have time
to make a phone call...Copy !req
231. so that I could arrest him
or something?Copy !req
232. - His flight was leaving.
- His fl—Copy !req
233. How do you know he killed Mike?Copy !req
234. I found his fingerprint at the scene.Copy !req
235. And you didn't tell me?Copy !req
236. You kept it from
the Police Department?Copy !req
237. Dexter, what happened
to you only taking care of people...Copy !req
238. that slip through the cracks
of the justice system?Copy !req
239. You can't rip a case open...Copy !req
240. - ... so that it falls into your fucking lap.
- I know.Copy !req
241. Obviously you don't know, Dexter,
because this is normal for you.Copy !req
242. But trust me, this is not
fucking normal for me, not at all.Copy !req
243. How am I supposed to do my job?Copy !req
244. Which is the be-all, end-all
of hypocrisy...Copy !req
245. because I am the lieutenant
of Homicide...Copy !req
246. and I have already helped you
cover up two murders.Copy !req
247. Three. This makes three.Copy !req
248. And the fucking bartender.
Oh, my fucking God. Oh, my God.Copy !req
249. How did this become my life?Copy !req
250. - Deb, where are you going?
- I'm gonna arrest Isaak.Copy !req
251. - Take him to jail.
- On what charge?Copy !req
252. - I'll find something!
- No.Copy !req
253. We can't—
I can't afford to risk him talking.Copy !req
254. Look, I will handle this, but until I do,
we need to take extra precautions.Copy !req
255. Isaak is convinced
that there's some police conspiracy.Copy !req
256. He thinks we all killed Viktor,
so you're at risk too.Copy !req
257. - What?
- But I can keep you safe.Copy !req
258. We're gonna go to a hotel.Copy !req
259. A place where no one knows
who we are...Copy !req
260. no one asks any questions,
a place where we'll both be safe.Copy !req
261. This is fucking fantastic.Copy !req
262. He might be watching the precinct,
your home.Copy !req
263. I need you to take a car
from the motor pool...Copy !req
264. make sure you never
leave the same way twice.Copy !req
265. Make sure no one follows you.
I'll do the same.Copy !req
266. - I need you to promise me something.
- What?Copy !req
267. That you will never take a case
from the Police Department again...Copy !req
268. - ... from me, ever.
- Okay.Copy !req
269. Are you lying to me?Copy !req
270. - I don't think so.
- You don't think so?Copy !req
271. - You don't fucking think so?
- I'm not lying.Copy !req
272. I have no way of knowing, do I?Copy !req
273. When you begin a stalk,
you start with what you know.Copy !req
274. And with Isaak, that isn't much.Copy !req
275. Isaak isn't just some hit man.
He's a boss.Copy !req
276. - Yes?
- Dexter, Hannah McKay...Copy !req
277. is on her way in.Copy !req
278. I'm kind of tied up with something
right now.Copy !req
279. Dexter, Hannah is gonna
talk us through her road trip...Copy !req
280. with Wayne Randall and help us
find the rest of the bodies.Copy !req
281. This is important. Get here now.Copy !req
282. Right. I'm on my way.Copy !req
283. In that first week...Copy !req
284. Wayne shot a gas station attendant
in Ashford, Alabama.Copy !req
285. That's where these are from.Copy !req
286. And Wayne shot another attendant
in Lake City, Florida.Copy !req
287. And then he shot a guy outside
of Sarasota...Copy !req
288. who stopped to help you fix a flat.Copy !req
289. You then get picked up in Miami
trying to sneak on board a cruise ship.Copy !req
290. That week you guys were in Miami...Copy !req
291. that's the story we don't know.Copy !req
292. The people Wayne killed,
the bodies we'd like to find.Copy !req
293. It looks like it starts here.Copy !req
294. We got to Miami and
we were the only thing on the news.Copy !req
295. We were desperate.
No money, cops everywhere.Copy !req
296. Wayne decided that we would
hide out in the motels...Copy !req
297. until we could make it
to that cruise ship.Copy !req
298. He killed people
so we could take their rooms.Copy !req
299. We buried the bodies close
to the motels.Copy !req
300. - Where were the motels?
- One was by a Frosty Swirl.Copy !req
301. - Wayne's favourite.
- That's where Ms. Dubois was found.Copy !req
302. - What about these?
- Those two go together.Copy !req
303. - Together?
- They were a couple.Copy !req
304. Husband and wife, I guess.Copy !req
305. - Where are they buried?
- Close to one of the ports.Copy !req
306. - I remember big ships unloading.
- And the motel?Copy !req
307. Small, one storey, I think...Copy !req
308. I would recognise it, but so much
of that time is just a blur, you know?Copy !req
309. Everything changed in Miami.
Wayne, most of all.Copy !req
310. I was so scared.
I thought that he was gonna kill me.Copy !req
311. He forced me to dig those holes and
every time that I dug one of them...Copy !req
312. I wasn't sure if I was digging
my own grave or not.Copy !req
313. I understand how difficult this is
for you, but if you'll excuse me...Copy !req
314. I'm gonna get the ball rolling
on the next dig. Tomorrow if possible.Copy !req
315. Sure. I'd like to get this over with.Copy !req
316. That toy isn't bringing back
memories of being scared.Copy !req
317. She's nostalgic.Copy !req
318. No touching.Copy !req
319. Can I have your giraffe back,
please?Copy !req
320. It's Wayne's.Copy !req
321. Wayne's giraffe.Copy !req
322. It was wrapped in your shirt.Copy !req
323. What, are you a detective now too?Copy !req
324. Sergeant Batista will give you
the details for tomorrow.Copy !req
325. Will you be there?Copy !req
326. I hope so.Copy !req
327. Killing Isaak would make
a lot of Koshkas very angry.Copy !req
328. But a lot of Colombians very happy.Copy !req
329. The goddamn shower has
two settings, scalding and freezing.Copy !req
330. It's a cheap motel. That's the point.Copy !req
331. I'm not doing this another night.Copy !req
332. Hopefully you won't have to.Copy !req
333. Does that mean
you're working on a solution?Copy !req
334. I have a plan, yes.Copy !req
335. Does it involve you killing someone?Copy !req
336. I'm not killing anybody.Copy !req
337. That's my bed.Copy !req
338. Closest to the door.Copy !req
339. - Tell me your plan.
- No.Copy !req
340. Dexter, I'm hiding out in this
fucking motel room. I'm a part of this.Copy !req
341. But not any more
than you need to be.Copy !req
342. This is not how I ever imagined
spending tonight.Copy !req
343. We've stayed in hotel rooms before.Copy !req
344. Yeah, when we went to Myrtle Beach
to visit Mom's sister.Copy !req
345. There were seashells embedded
in the plaster in the walls.Copy !req
346. No air-conditioning, just ceiling fans.Copy !req
347. There was sand
from the beach everywhere.Copy !req
348. Even in the beds.Copy !req
349. You kept your eyes on me all day.Copy !req
350. I didn't want you to drown.Copy !req
351. You were my hero.Copy !req
352. Good boy. Good.Copy !req
353. Hot as hell out here...Copy !req
354. even with the ocean breeze.Copy !req
355. Think we'll find anything?Copy !req
356. The motel Hannah and Wayne
stayed at is still here.Copy !req
357. Nothing's changed much
since their spree.Copy !req
358. Pretty good odds.Copy !req
359. Can I ask you something?Copy !req
360. This bartender who shot himself,
Alex Dubrozny.Copy !req
361. Do you think it's a suicide?Copy !req
362. Masuka matched his handwriting
to the note he left.Copy !req
363. His fingerprints were on the gun,
GSR on the hand.Copy !req
364. He definitely pulled the trigger.Copy !req
365. Fucking bugs.Copy !req
366. I'm gonna go get some spray
from the car.Copy !req
367. This part of the job?Copy !req
368. Stand around and stare?Copy !req
369. I'm not needed unless
there's a body or blood.Copy !req
370. I don't know how you do it.Copy !req
371. First time Wayne killed somebody,
he shot him right in the chest and I...Copy !req
372. I couldn't move. Never seen
that much blood in my life.Copy !req
373. First crime scene I ever worked...Copy !req
374. a woman stabbed her husband
after fixing him a sandwich.Copy !req
375. By the time I got there,
he looked like he was asleep...Copy !req
376. just floating on a sea of red
and the sandwich next to his head.Copy !req
377. Seemed so sad
that no one was gonna eat it.Copy !req
378. Look at us talking blood and gore
like we're on a date...Copy !req
379. sharing our
first sexual experience.Copy !req
380. I've got work to do.Copy !req
381. There you are.Copy !req
382. Aren't you supposed to be talking
to the Connors?Copy !req
383. They were less than cooperative.Copy !req
384. This was on my way back
to the station, so I thought I'd sit in.Copy !req
385. Great.Copy !req
386. Hi. I'm Captain Maria LaGuerta,
Miami Metro...Copy !req
387. and this is
Lieutenant Debra Morgan.Copy !req
388. I talked to your morn, Patricia.
Is she home?Copy !req
389. No, sorry.
She got called into work.Copy !req
390. - Oh, we'll come back.
- Is this about my dad?Copy !req
391. She said you guys had called.Copy !req
392. I could try to answer any questions,
if you want.Copy !req
393. - That would be very helpful.
- Yeah.Copy !req
394. - Thanks.
- Yeah.Copy !req
395. When was the last time
you saw your father?Copy !req
396. May 19th, 2007.
The best fucking day of my life.Copy !req
397. How so?Copy !req
398. Because he never came back.Copy !req
399. So wasn't it hard growing up
without a father?Copy !req
400. It was a lot better
than growing up with a father...Copy !req
401. who beat me and my mom
every chance he got.Copy !req
402. I'm sorry.Copy !req
403. Then one night,
he didn't come home.Copy !req
404. I swear everything got better.Copy !req
405. My morn wasn't crying all the time...Copy !req
406. and I wasn't constantly looking
over my shoulder.Copy !req
407. Ty, you mentioned the last time
you saw your father...Copy !req
408. he was working a wedding?Copy !req
409. Yeah, my mom printed out some
pictures for you from that night.Copy !req
410. - She thought you might want them.
- Great.Copy !req
411. What are you hoping
to find in these pictures?Copy !req
412. Special Agent Lundy
had this theory...Copy !req
413. that the Bay Harbor Butcher
was in law enforcement.Copy !req
414. If Barnes was killed by the Butcher—Copy !req
415. His face might be
in one of the pictures.Copy !req
416. We might even know him. Or her.Copy !req
417. - Would you mind?
- Yeah, no.Copy !req
418. Okay.Copy !req
419. What are you looking for exactly?Copy !req
420. We think your father
may have been abducted...Copy !req
421. and murdered
the night he disappeared...Copy !req
422. and the person responsible
could be in these pictures.Copy !req
423. Mom would finally know
he's not coming home.Copy !req
424. This is a big wedding.
A lot of pictures.Copy !req
425. You know, maybe I should
take these back to the station...Copy !req
426. and spend the day
going over them.Copy !req
427. You're right.Copy !req
428. We shouldn't rush this.Copy !req
429. Thank you, Ty. Thanks.Copy !req
430. Right here. Put it down.Copy !req
431. Go ahead, detective.Copy !req
432. "Till death do us part"
didn't quite work out for these guys.Copy !req
433. Get it? Because they're dead
but they're still together.Copy !req
434. Okay, moving on.Copy !req
435. Shower curtain helped preserve
the bodies and the clothes.Copy !req
436. Our lucky day.Copy !req
437. It's a safe assumption
that Wayne started with the male.Copy !req
438. Would've been important
to immobilise him first...Copy !req
439. because he presented
the biggest threat.Copy !req
440. There are defensive wounds
on the arms and the hands.Copy !req
441. He put up a fight.Copy !req
442. Judging from the cuts in the fabric...Copy !req
443. we're looking at perhaps
a 6-inch knife.Copy !req
444. Numerous shallow wounds...Copy !req
445. until Wayne was able to inflict this,
the fatal wound.Copy !req
446. Once he was done with him...Copy !req
447. he moved on to the female victim.Copy !req
448. Stabbed numerous times.Copy !req
449. The spatter pattern suggests
the victim fell on her back.Copy !req
450. And these voids here
likely indicate that...Copy !req
451. she was straddled
by her assailant.Copy !req
452. Who was much smaller
than Wayne.Copy !req
453. If Wayne didn't kill this person...Copy !req
454. Dexter.Copy !req
455. What does it mean?Copy !req
456. I'm not sure.
It could mean a lot of things.Copy !req
457. I won't know until I get back to the lab
and run some tests.Copy !req
458. I guess we're done here.Copy !req
459. - Why did you stop?
- Stop what?Copy !req
460. You started to describe
how Wayne killed that girl...Copy !req
461. and you got halfway through
and then you stopped.Copy !req
462. Yeah, I did.Copy !req
463. - And then you looked right at me.
- I did.Copy !req
464. Why?Copy !req
465. The spatter told me a story
that conflicts what you say happened.Copy !req
466. Really?Copy !req
467. How so?Copy !req
468. How did you get this?Copy !req
469. It's a little something I got
for talking back to Wayne.Copy !req
470. - He got angry and slashed at me.
- Bullshit.Copy !req
471. - Do you know something that I don't?
- Wayne didn't kill that woman.Copy !req
472. He was too busy with the male.
It was someone smaller.Copy !req
473. Someone with a different knife
who was inexperienced.Copy !req
474. Got carried away
with the frenzy of the moment.Copy !req
475. Stabbed the woman over and over
until the knife got so bloody...Copy !req
476. her hand slipped along the edge
of the sharp blade...Copy !req
477. cutting her palm very deeply,
exactly like yours...Copy !req
478. leaving a passive spatter stain
on the victim's dress.Copy !req
479. Everything you said is a lie.Copy !req
480. That's my story.Copy !req
481. And I'm sticking to it.Copy !req
482. And you don't even care.Copy !req
483. You have immunity, don't you?Copy !req
484. The DA gave you immunity
for cooperating with us.Copy !req
485. From any crime committed
with Wayne, yeah. Yeah.Copy !req
486. A girl's gotta protect herself.Copy !req
487. I'll see you around, Dexter Morgan.Copy !req
488. Isaak. I knew
you would show up eventually.Copy !req
489. Don't worry. I'm not gonna lose you.Copy !req
490. Welcome to the wrong side of town,
Isaak.Copy !req
491. Not used to strangers here.Copy !req
492. Koshkas.Copy !req
493. And certainly not used
to their sworn enemies walking in.Copy !req
494. But Isaak, being from out of town,
won't know any of this.Copy !req
495. Definitely not as much fun as
putting Isaak on my table.Copy !req
496. But it does mask his death...Copy !req
497. as the resulting war
between rival heroin dealers.Copy !req
498. Who's saving whose ass now?Copy !req
499. - What's up?
- I know you're busy.Copy !req
500. I also want you to know
that I'm not trying to stir up any shit.Copy !req
501. Of course not.Copy !req
502. It's about this
Alex Dubrozny suicide.Copy !req
503. There's something about this guy
being Anderson's killer...Copy !req
504. that's just not right.Copy !req
505. Sorry. It's Dispatch.Copy !req
506. Sergeant Batista.Copy !req
507. Okay. Got it.Copy !req
508. Gonna have to rain check this.Copy !req
509. Homicide at a Colombian hangout.Copy !req
510. Got blood, Dexter.Copy !req
511. - Where we going?
- Mateo's Bar.Copy !req
512. - Know it?
- Nope.Copy !req
513. I'll meet you there.Copy !req
514. Holy shit.Copy !req
515. It's like somebody turned on the hose
and sprayed blood everywhere.Copy !req
516. Great.Copy !req
517. I left Isaak here outnumbered
and expected to find only his body.Copy !req
518. So where is he now?Copy !req
519. Do we know these guys?Copy !req
520. This is Andres Rodriguez.
He's a member of the Rojas Cartel.Copy !req
521. We ran into each other a few times
when I worked Narcotics.Copy !req
522. Is it possible Isaak did all of this?Copy !req
523. Why do drug hits
have to be so messy?Copy !req
524. You gotta make a big show.Copy !req
525. Who you think is good for this?
The 87's?Copy !req
526. - Or the Koshka Brotherhood.
- Koshkas?Copy !req
527. What happened here, Dex?Copy !req
528. Considering this one
was closest to the door...Copy !req
529. he's probably first to see
the attacker, first to respond.Copy !req
530. He drew his gun
as the attacker fired.Copy !req
531. The misting on the jukebox...Copy !req
532. and the wall indicates multiple
bullet hits all through and through.Copy !req
533. - Victim number two.
- Looks like he got a shot off.Copy !req
534. But, that didn't stop the assault.Copy !req
535. The attacker returned fire.Copy !req
536. Twice in the chest,
once in the stomach.Copy !req
537. Judging from the lack of pooling
around the body suggests...Copy !req
538. that the victim was dead
before the third shot.Copy !req
539. Wait. How many people
were here shooting?Copy !req
540. There's only evidence of one killer.Copy !req
541. - One brutally efficient killer.
- Jesus, fuck.Copy !req
542. Looks like our attacker
ran out of bullets right around here.Copy !req
543. It's from a defensive wound.Copy !req
544. Looks like it was a deep cut,
forearm maybe.Copy !req
545. Obviously not fatal.Copy !req
546. The attacker grabbed the nearest
weapon, hit his victim over the head...Copy !req
547. inflicted a massive skull fracture...Copy !req
548. and walked right out the door.Copy !req
549. So, we're looking
for the fucking Terminator.Copy !req
550. Let's get the blood
running through the system.Copy !req
551. Maybe we can match it to a name.Copy !req
552. Everybody outside. Let's let Dexter
and Masuka do their thing.Copy !req
553. Sarge, you mind
if I run an errand real quick?Copy !req
554. Was this part
of your fantastic plan?Copy !req
555. I never said my plan was fantastic...Copy !req
556. but no, this is not
how I thought it would go.Copy !req
557. Do we have an even bigger problem
on our hands now?Copy !req
558. Not if we can find a match
for this blood.Copy !req
559. You'll be able to make an arrest.Copy !req
560. The sooner the better.Copy !req
561. I couldn't agree more.Copy !req
562. Right here, baby.Copy !req
563. Your car is fixed.
You have to start using it.Copy !req
564. But I like having a chauffeur.Copy !req
565. Come on.
Let me show you how much I like it.Copy !req
566. I wish I could, but I have work to do.Copy !req
567. Oh, just forget about work.Copy !req
568. We're gonna have to
fucking pay them back.Copy !req
569. I'll get some guys,
do it myself if you want.Copy !req
570. - No.
- Well, they're sure as shit...Copy !req
571. gonna come after us.Copy !req
572. And we can't sit around
and do nothing.Copy !req
573. Shit.Copy !req
574. We don't need a cop here now.Copy !req
575. - Who is he?
- Joey Quinn.Copy !req
576. He came up from Narcotics,
and now he's Homicide.Copy !req
577. We used to have
an understanding with him.Copy !req
578. What kind of understanding?Copy !req
579. Leave a bag of cash in his car,
and he'd do whatever we asked.Copy !req
580. Mostly just look the other way.Copy !req
581. Fuck.Copy !req
582. Well?Copy !req
583. Lieutenant,
are the cuffs necessary?Copy !req
584. Probably not.Copy !req
585. Would your client
like to have a little chat with us?Copy !req
586. My client has nothing to say.Copy !req
587. He's exercising
his American right to silence.Copy !req
588. Well, fucking God bless America.
Get this guy to Booking.Copy !req
589. Your client's going to jail
for the rest of his life.Copy !req
590. Nice to meet you,
Lieutenant Morgan.Copy !req
591. Maybe now that lsaak's behind bars,
we can have...Copy !req
592. that face-to-face
he's been so desperate for.Copy !req
593. So you got Isaak Sirko.Copy !req
594. We got Isaak Sirko.Copy !req
595. Congratulations. It's a big deal.Copy !req
596. May I?Copy !req
597. - Our earlier conversation.
- Right.Copy !req
598. I don't think Alex Dubrozny
shot Mike Anderson.Copy !req
599. It doesn't make any sense.Copy !req
600. Alex has been in this country
for two years...Copy !req
601. and according to every stripper
I interviewed...Copy !req
602. all he talked about
was his wife and his kids.Copy !req
603. He didn't show
any interest towards Kaja.Copy !req
604. I think someone put Alex up to this.Copy !req
605. Someone connected to Isaak Sirko.Copy !req
606. Deb, I still think Viktor Baskov
killed Mike Anderson...Copy !req
607. and Viktor just disappeared
into thin air.Copy !req
608. - But if we can find—
- Sergeant.Copy !req
609. - Your dedication is admirable.
- Deb, you don't have to talk like that.Copy !req
610. - It's—
- And a year ago...Copy !req
611. I might have been right beside you,
fighting for what I thought was right.Copy !req
612. But the hardest lesson
that I've learned as lieutenant...Copy !req
613. is knowing when
to back the fuck down.Copy !req
614. You don't believe me?Copy !req
615. You don't have concrete evidence
to support your theory.Copy !req
616. And I can't afford to reopen
a murder investigation.Copy !req
617. This isn't any murder investigation.
This is Mike.Copy !req
618. - He—
- Mike's killer's dead.Copy !req
619. Mike got justice.Copy !req
620. Let it go.Copy !req
621. That's an order.Copy !req
622. Okay, lieutenant.Copy !req
623. You got it.Copy !req
624. - Hello, Isaak.
- Hello, Dexter.Copy !req
625. I underestimated you.Copy !req
626. You come here to taunt me?Copy !req
627. I thought maybe you could help me.Copy !req
628. Why is it so important
that you kill me?Copy !req
629. Well, it's quite simple, really.Copy !req
630. You killed Viktor. I liked Viktor.Copy !req
631. Like or not,
he killed Mike Anderson.Copy !req
632. Is that why you killed him?
Revenge?Copy !req
633. Yes.Copy !req
634. There was the briefest flicker
of hesitation there.Copy !req
635. But if you're telling the truth...Copy !req
636. then you don't require
any explanation.Copy !req
637. You understand the need
for vengeance.Copy !req
638. So you got arrested. There'll be a trial.
You'll go to prison for a long time.Copy !req
639. Does that mean this is over?Copy !req
640. - Over?
- Yes.Copy !req
641. I had a great uncle...Copy !req
642. my grandfather's brother.Copy !req
643. He was a hero.Copy !req
644. Fought with the Red Army
during the Second World War.Copy !req
645. When he returned to Kiev afterwards,
some fat, little party official...Copy !req
646. resented the fact
that everyone admired him...Copy !req
647. so he decided
to make an example of him...Copy !req
648. by taking away his house.Copy !req
649. When my great uncle protested...Copy !req
650. he was hung
in front of the council chambers.Copy !req
651. My grandfather was just a teenager.Copy !req
652. When that party official saw
the hatred in his eyes...Copy !req
653. he had him arrested
and sent to Siberia.Copy !req
654. And the years rolled by.Copy !req
655. And my grandfather got on
with his life as best he could.Copy !req
656. He was a patient man.Copy !req
657. Finally, when the Soviet Union fell,
he returned to Kiev...Copy !req
658. and celebrated in front of city hall
with all the others.Copy !req
659. And that's when he found
that fat, little party official...Copy !req
660. and he got to enjoy the pleasure
that belonged to him and him alone...Copy !req
661. by sticking a 6-inch knife into
that fat, little man's kidney.Copy !req
662. So you ask me if this is over.Copy !req
663. No.Copy !req
664. I'm afraid not.Copy !req
665. - There's only one problem.
- And that is?Copy !req
666. I'm not some fat, little man.Copy !req
667. That's true.Copy !req
668. I don't know who you are.Copy !req
669. If you ever find out, you'll regret it.Copy !req
670. Hey. Come on in.Copy !req
671. See this?Copy !req
672. What is it?Copy !req
673. It's me lifeguarding your ass
for a change.Copy !req
674. I took it from LaGuerta.Copy !req
675. - I told you to stay clear of this.
- Well, you're lucky I didn't.Copy !req
676. - Deb—
- She would've seen you, Dexter.Copy !req
677. So you saved me.Copy !req
678. Yeah.Copy !req
679. Thanks.Copy !req
680. That's yours. It's not mine.Copy !req
681. I don't wanna be involved in
that part of your life.Copy !req
682. I don't want you to be.Copy !req
683. I know you're not gonna stop.Copy !req
684. But I don't wanna know about it.Copy !req
685. Okay.Copy !req
686. I had to lie to Batista.Copy !req
687. Batista. For you.Copy !req
688. And that was the moment I realised
that I don't wanna be a part of this.Copy !req
689. I can't do it.Copy !req
690. It took me forever
to wrap my brain around the idea...Copy !req
691. that you're not
who I thought you were.Copy !req
692. But it doesn't mean
I have to change.Copy !req
693. All of your stealing and your lying
and your covering up...Copy !req
694. that's not me.Copy !req
695. So you think
LaGuerta's investigation is closed?Copy !req
696. No.Copy !req
697. Lundy didn't figure me out.Copy !req
698. No reason to think LaGuerta will.Copy !req
699. Oh, if Lundy could see me now.Copy !req
700. And you.Copy !req
701. I've been thinking about our vacation
to Myrtle Beach a lot.Copy !req
702. How we spent our days.Copy !req
703. On the beach.Copy !req
704. Running up and down the shore.Copy !req
705. And at low tide,
running in and out of the water.Copy !req
706. I was always chasing you.Copy !req
707. I could never catch you.Copy !req
708. You wouldn't take off your flippers.Copy !req
709. Even if I did, you were always...Copy !req
710. just out of reach.Copy !req
711. Maybe, we're learning
it's better that way.Copy !req
712. Did you get the blood report back
on the bodies from the dig?Copy !req
713. Yeah.Copy !req
714. And?Copy !req
715. Anything I should know?Copy !req
716. Nope.Copy !req
717. As kids, Deb and I
would try to outrun the waves...Copy !req
718. but I would always end up
diving under them.Copy !req
719. I would swim deep because I could
withstand the pull of the tide.Copy !req
720. But Deb was always safest
at shore.Copy !req
721. From here on out,
I'll face the depths by myself.Copy !req
