1. Previously on Dexter...Copy !req
2. Our primary suspect
is Sergeant James Doakes.Copy !req
3. - Doakes?
- If Doakes really wasn't...Copy !req
4. the Bay Harbour Butcher, best thing
to do is look into Doakes' final days.Copy !req
5. We should start with the cabin
in the Everglades where Doakes died.Copy !req
6. - I was renting the place to Jimenez.
- Jimenez?Copy !req
7. He was one of the three men responsible
for killing Dexter Morgan's mother.Copy !req
8. What if Dexter
is the real Bay Harbour Butcher?Copy !req
9. If somebody's gonna talk to Dexter,
it's gonna be me.Copy !req
10. All right,
tell your boyfriend who you belong to.Copy !req
11. - I'm sorry.
- It's okay. Go. Go, now.Copy !req
12. He died in my apartment.Copy !req
13. Figured it would kick in while Price
was on the road. An auto accident.Copy !req
14. - How'd you do it?
- Price liked to chew on his pens.Copy !req
15. Last one had a little something on it.Copy !req
16. She is a killer.Copy !req
17. You will never be safe with her.Copy !req
18. When Hannah got out of juvie...Copy !req
19. she killed a counsellor
at a halfway house.Copy !req
20. She fed him rat poison.Copy !req
21. Her roommate, a little gal
named Arlene Schram, saw her do it.Copy !req
22. He won't be bothering you again.Copy !req
23. I love you.Copy !req
24. I think I love you too.Copy !req
25. I need to find Arlene Schram.Copy !req
26. Sure. Who's that?Copy !req
27. According to a message I got last night
from Hannah McKay's father...Copy !req
28. she's a witness to a murder.Copy !req
29. I've never thought about the future.Copy !req
30. About growing old.Copy !req
31. Maybe because the future
has never been kind to people like me.Copy !req
32. Or their loved ones.Copy !req
33. Bye, Dad.Copy !req
34. Bye, Harrison.Copy !req
35. But, suddenly,
my future seems very possible.Copy !req
36. And growing old
is not only a possibility...Copy !req
37. it seems appealing.Copy !req
38. - Hello.
- Am I speaking with Dexter Morgan?Copy !req
39. - Yeah, that's right.
- This is Department of Corrections.Copy !req
40. Hector Estrada
is having a parole hearing.Copy !req
41. - What? When?
- This morning at 10 a.m.Copy !req
42. I know this is sudden.Copy !req
43. Okay. Thank you for letting me know.Copy !req
44. You're welcome, sir.Copy !req
45. That was the Department of Corrections.
Hector Estrada is up for parole.Copy !req
46. He thinks there's good chance
he'll get it.Copy !req
47. Estrada?Copy !req
48. Remember I told you about my mother
and how she died?Copy !req
49. Oh, God.Copy !req
50. Was he—?
Was he one of the men that killed her?Copy !req
51. He was the leader.
He gave the order.Copy !req
52. What about the others?Copy !req
53. Dead.Copy !req
54. Estrada is the last survivor.Copy !req
55. I'm sure you'll have something to say
about that.Copy !req
56. Look at it this way.Copy !req
57. Maybe it's the universe
giving you a Christmas present.Copy !req
58. No one but you
would see it that way.Copy !req
59. Maybe killing Estrada
will close this chapter of my life...Copy !req
60. and open me up to a future
with Hannah.Copy !req
61. Panel has reviewed
all the pertinent data in this matter.Copy !req
62. We find that the prisoner
meets the requirements for parole...Copy !req
63. under the
Compassionate Release Statute 463.Copy !req
64. Have you read the statute?
You understand your obligations?Copy !req
65. I understand what's expected of me.Copy !req
66. I won't screw up.Copy !req
67. At this time, we invite any victims
present to enter a statement...Copy !req
68. either for or against
the board's decision.Copy !req
69. I have no objection.Copy !req
70. Nadia, it's me again.Copy !req
71. This is my fifth message.Copy !req
72. Just wanna know where you are.Copy !req
73. Give me a call.Copy !req
74. Did you get a bad news?Copy !req
75. Just trying to find Nadia.Copy !req
76. Hey. Taking a survey.Copy !req
77. Secret Santa this year
or no Secret Santa?Copy !req
78. I got enough presents to buy, man.Copy !req
79. Man, the Christmas spirit around here
sucks big reindeer dicks.Copy !req
80. Deb.Copy !req
81. I found Arlene Schram.Copy !req
82. Oh, fucking amazing.Copy !req
83. She's living out in Hialeah.Copy !req
84. Two drug arrests since juvie,
has two kids from different fathers.Copy !req
85. Temporarily lost custody a year ago
due to her drug abuse.Copy !req
86. Good to know. I'll have to go hard.
I might have to take away...Copy !req
87. - ... her Mother of the Year trophy.
- Any luck in locating Hannah's father?Copy !req
88. No, zero. He dropped the dime
on his daughter and then skipped town.Copy !req
89. Well, he's a drifter.
He could be anywhere.Copy !req
90. Maybe we should let your brother know
what we're doing.Copy !req
91. - We're investigating his girlfriend.
- I told Dexter...Copy !req
92. that if I found anything on Hannah,
I'd act.Copy !req
93. - I still don't feel right about this.
- And I'm telling you it's my call, okay?Copy !req
94. Matthews made his choices.Copy !req
95. Now he spends Christmas alone
with his boat.Copy !req
96. How close was I to the same fate?Copy !req
97. Oh, hand me one of those zip ties
on the table there, will you?Copy !req
98. Thanks.Copy !req
99. Fucking Christmas lights.Copy !req
100. Every year I put them up, and
every year I wonder why I bothered.Copy !req
101. You said you wanted to see me.Copy !req
102. Yeah. Yeah, thanks for coming out.Copy !req
103. Sit.Copy !req
104. I wanted to give you a heads-up on this
idea that Captain LaGuerta has got.Copy !req
105. What?Copy !req
106. The Bay Harbour Butcher.Copy !req
107. Maria's convinced
that Doakes was innocent...Copy !req
108. and that the real killer
is still at large.Copy !req
109. Actually, she thinks it might be you.Copy !req
110. Me?Copy !req
111. I know. Personally, I think
she's had one too many Mosquitos...Copy !req
112. or whatever they call
that goddamn drink.Copy !req
113. But, anyway, here we are.Copy !req
114. What makes her think
I'm the Bay Harbour Butcher?Copy !req
115. She knows your life story,
your childhood...Copy !req
116. what you saw
in that cargo container.Copy !req
117. Most people,
that would screw them up for life.Copy !req
118. Your brother went through the
same thing, look what happened to him.Copy !req
119. He saw your mother dismembered
before his eyes...Copy !req
120. then he went on
to dismember his own victims.Copy !req
121. Drink?Copy !req
122. No.Copy !req
123. The Bay Harbour Butcher
also dismembered his victims.Copy !req
124. Of course,
your brother wasn't the Butcher.Copy !req
125. The murders continued
after his death.Copy !req
126. But it's weird, huh?Copy !req
127. Another thing that's weird,
that cabin where Doakes died.Copy !req
128. What about it?Copy !req
129. Was rented to a man named Jimenez.Copy !req
130. He's one of the men
who killed your mother.Copy !req
131. I mean, what are the odds?Copy !req
132. He's interrogating me.Copy !req
133. You knew my father,
you've known me my whole life...Copy !req
134. do you think
I'm the Bay Harbour Butcher?Copy !req
135. Of course not.Copy !req
136. But if I don't ask these questions,
Maria will.Copy !req
137. You know, I always had a bad feeling
about Doakes.Copy !req
138. He obviously didn't like me
too much...Copy !req
139. from the get-go.Copy !req
140. Not exactly a secret.Copy !req
141. But then
that whole Bay Harbour Butcher case...Copy !req
142. came along
and something happened...Copy !req
143. that I've never told anyone about.Copy !req
144. - What?
- I saw Doakes on his boat.Copy !req
145. Doakes had a boat?Copy !req
146. Yeah.Copy !req
147. I figured he used it
to dispose of his victims.Copy !req
148. He kept it at the same marina as mine.
I moved my boat to get away from him.Copy !req
149. Why didn't you come forward?Copy !req
150. Because I didn't know
what he'd do to me or my sister.Copy !req
151. Yeah.Copy !req
152. Doakes was a pretty formidable guy.Copy !req
153. Yeah.Copy !req
154. I can imagine how scared
you must have been.Copy !req
155. Sorry to put you through all this,
Dexter.Copy !req
156. I'll talk to Maria...Copy !req
157. get her to move on.Copy !req
158. No hard feelings?Copy !req
159. None.Copy !req
160. I've given them a boat to search for.Copy !req
161. Now I just have to make sure
there's something for them to find.Copy !req
162. Hey, don't splash your sister.Copy !req
163. I'm not gonna tell you again.Copy !req
164. Sorry, they are non-stop.Copy !req
165. No, I have a nephew their age,
so I can relate.Copy !req
166. Traded one vice for another.Copy !req
167. At least they can't take your kids away
for tobacco.Copy !req
168. First Christmas clean and sober,
and it won't be the last.Copy !req
169. Knock on wood. Just wanna
keep looking forward, you know?Copy !req
170. That's kind of why I'm here, Arlene,
to keep you looking forward.Copy !req
171. To keep you out of jail, actually.Copy !req
172. - Why would I be going to jail?
- As an accessory to murder.Copy !req
173. He was a counsellor at a halfway house
where you resided 10 years ago.Copy !req
174. Someone spiked his coffee
with rat poison.Copy !req
175. - I don't have any idea.
- I'm not after you.Copy !req
176. I'm after Hannah McKay.
She was your roommate at the time.Copy !req
177. It was her idea,
but you had part in it.Copy !req
178. You either helped or you kept quiet.Copy !req
179. - What do you want'?
- I wanna know what happened.Copy !req
180. In return, I'll promise immunity
from prosecution...Copy !req
181. keep you out of jail, make sure
your kids have their mother...Copy !req
182. to put presents under the tree.Copy !req
183. I'd like some time
to think about this.Copy !req
184. Okay, do that.Copy !req
185. And play with your kids. Because
depending on what you decide...Copy !req
186. you might not get to do that
for a really long time.Copy !req
187. Quiet now.Copy !req
188. So turn this way now.Copy !req
189. Do you remember the first and last time
Dad took us to see Santa?Copy !req
190. You yanked his beard
and I asked for a gun.Copy !req
191. Where the fuck are you, the North
Pole? You haven't said anything.Copy !req
192. What is it?Copy !req
193. You sure you wanna know?Copy !req
194. Oh, Jesus.Copy !req
195. Tell me.Copy !req
196. LaGuerta is still looking
into the Bay Harbour Butcher.Copy !req
197. Shit.Copy !req
198. I talked to Matthews.
She's pulled him into the investigation.Copy !req
199. - What?
- It gets worse.Copy !req
200. They think it's me.Copy !req
201. You weren't gonna fucking tell me?Copy !req
202. Do they have anything?Copy !req
203. I don't know.Copy !req
204. I need to put them off this
once and for all.Copy !req
205. How?Copy !req
206. Give them proof
that Doakes was the Butcher.Copy !req
207. It will mean planting evidence.Copy !req
208. You can't do that,
not with those two on your case.Copy !req
209. I'll just have to be very careful.Copy !req
210. Now, were you a good boy?
So, what do you want for Christmas?Copy !req
211. - Fuck it. It's too risky for you. I'll do it.
- Deb, no.Copy !req
212. I'm not gonna let Harrison grow up
without a father.Copy !req
213. I just want this to be the end
once and for all.Copy !req
214. Hey, guys.Copy !req
215. Hey.Copy !req
216. Hey.Copy !req
217. - Ready? Say "cheese," everyone.
- Cheese.Copy !req
218. I'm sorry, I don't think Dexter Morgan
has anything to do...Copy !req
219. - ... with the Bay Harbour Butcher.
- You're letting your feelings...Copy !req
220. completely cloud your judgment.Copy !req
221. You're letting whatever you had with
Doakes make you blind to his guilt.Copy !req
222. I've heard of people
fucking their brains out, but God.Copy !req
223. - Well, that's low even for you, Tom.
- Look, let's just follow up on this boat.Copy !req
224. Look, if James had owned a boat,
I would have known.Copy !req
225. Well, call it a wild guess.Copy !req
226. But if he was using it to dump victims
into the ocean...Copy !req
227. he would have tried
to keep its existence a secret.Copy !req
228. I swear, I never told anyone
I saw you poison that man.Copy !req
229. I don't get how that stanky detective
could know about it.Copy !req
230. Must have been my dad.Copy !req
231. Why would he do that?Copy !req
232. He needed money and I wouldn't give it
to him. You know my dad.Copy !req
233. Yeah, unfortunately.Copy !req
234. I can't go to jail, Hannah.
Lose my kids again, I couldn't take it.Copy !req
235. I'm not gonna let that happen.Copy !req
236. Hey, look at me. When that counsellor
was putting his hands on us...Copy !req
237. and I shut him down for good,
you backed me up.Copy !req
238. Always stuck together.Copy !req
239. That's not gonna change now, is it?Copy !req
240. But that detective's
gonna come back.Copy !req
241. She's not gonna let up.Copy !req
242. I'm gonna figure something out.Copy !req
243. You just have to stay strong, okay?Copy !req
244. Not this one.Copy !req
245. This one looks like Doakes.Copy !req
246. Did you have to get the biggest tree?Copy !req
247. Well, anything smaller than this
looks like a Charlie Brown tree.Copy !req
248. By the way, you still doing Christmas
day with Debra and Harrison?Copy !req
249. Yeah. You can join us.Copy !req
250. Not sure if Debra and me
in the same room...Copy !req
251. would be very Christmassy.Copy !req
252. Okay.Copy !req
253. Maybe we could start a new tradition.Copy !req
254. Christmas Eve...Copy !req
255. this year and next year,
the year after that.Copy !req
256. I like that,
except there is one problem.Copy !req
257. - What?
- I haven't got you a Christmas present.Copy !req
258. I don't really need anything.Copy !req
259. Suit yourself.Copy !req
260. Guess I'm just gonna have to go out
and buy you a pair of socks.Copy !req
261. Hold up! Hey! Hey!Copy !req
262. That's not the walk of a dying man.Copy !req
263. I guess freedom
was the tonic he needed.Copy !req
264. But I'll soon change that.Copy !req
265. - Jenna.
- Hey, Quinn.Copy !req
266. I'm looking for Nadia.
Know where she is?Copy !req
267. Hey, pal, find your own.Copy !req
268. Sorry, does your wife know
you're here?Copy !req
269. No, so shut the fuck up.Copy !req
270. Nadia's in Vegas.Copy !req
271. - What are you talking about?
- She moved there to work.Copy !req
272. Got a job in one of the casinos.Copy !req
273. - When?
- Couple days ago.Copy !req
274. She left you a note. It's in my locker.Copy !req
275. - I probably shouldn't have read it.
- What did it say?Copy !req
276. She's sorry,
but she needed a new start.Copy !req
277. Staying here was too hard for her.Copy !req
278. She was really broken up.Copy !req
279. That all?Copy !req
280. Oh, that you mean a lot to her and
she'll never forget what you did for her.Copy !req
281. I'll be done in a few minutes
and I can go get it.Copy !req
282. Thanks.Copy !req
283. Last Christmas,
I was down in the Keys.Copy !req
284. This Christmas, your garage.Copy !req
285. - No one's forcing you to be here, Tom.
- Oh, I'm too afraid to leave you alone.Copy !req
286. You might decide I'm the
Bay Harbour Butcher and haul me in.Copy !req
287. - What is it?
- Come here. Take a look.Copy !req
288. It's a tackle box.Copy !req
289. These are deep-sea fishing lures.Copy !req
290. Meaning?Copy !req
291. Meaning they're the kind you need
a boat to use.Copy !req
292. Jeez, what a mess.Copy !req
293. Well, it's been empty for years.Copy !req
294. Doakes probably scrapped his boat
once we were closing in on him.Copy !req
295. We don't know Doakes used this place.
You're jumping to conclusions.Copy !req
296. This address came
from the tackle box...Copy !req
297. which came from the cabin
where Doakes died.Copy !req
298. This isn't jumping to a conclusion.Copy !req
299. This conclusion's hanging
from your ass.Copy !req
300. - That private forensics team of yours?
- Yeah, what about them?Copy !req
301. Get them out here.Copy !req
302. I think we just struck oil.Copy !req
303. The blood's too degraded to analyse,
but we found one print on the hilt.Copy !req
304. It's a match for James Doakes.Copy !req
305. You're certain?Copy !req
306. No question, captain.Copy !req
307. Well, that sews it up.Copy !req
308. Tom.Copy !req
309. This evidence
could have been planted.Copy !req
310. Dexter is a forensics expert...Copy !req
311. - ... and he has the skills—
- Maria, it's over.Copy !req
312. The fat lady isn't singing,
her song is done.Copy !req
313. She's getting humped
in her dressing room.Copy !req
314. Jesus Christ, Tom.Copy !req
315. What is wrong with you?Copy !req
316. Maria, why can't you let this go?Copy !req
317. I guess because I feel I owe it to James
to clear his name.Copy !req
318. Why?
Because you two were a couple?Copy !req
319. Because he was innocent.Copy !req
320. You're not an investigator, Maria.Copy !req
321. Your talent's in playing the game,
and you play a great one.Copy !req
322. Hell, you beat me.Copy !req
323. But either way...Copy !req
324. I'm done here.Copy !req
325. Now, I expect you to live up
to your end of the bargain.Copy !req
326. Forty-year pay scale on my pension.Copy !req
327. I remember, Tom.Copy !req
328. Don't worry,
you'll get what's coming to you.Copy !req
329. I expect to.Copy !req
330. Feliz Navidad, Mafia.Copy !req
331. What the hell are you doing here?Copy !req
332. Don't tell me we're neighbours.Copy !req
333. I'm not here to fight with you
or trade insults.Copy !req
334. That's a good thing,
you probably wouldn't last one round.Copy !req
335. I came here to talk to you
about Dexter.Copy !req
336. Dexter?Copy !req
337. If you care about him,
listen to what I have to say.Copy !req
338. Just hear me out, that's all I ask.Copy !req
339. I'm all ears.Copy !req
340. Dexter is happy..-Copy !req
341. and I know him well enough
to understand...Copy !req
342. that this is a pretty big deal.Copy !req
343. He's been through a lot of trouble
and a lot of pain.Copy !req
344. - I can't deny that.
- I think for the first time...Copy !req
345. in really a long time, he's actually
looking forward to the future.Copy !req
346. He talks about it.Copy !req
347. About me and him together.Copy !req
348. And I think that Dexter
could be a whole lot happier...Copy !req
349. if he knew that you and I
could find some common ground.Copy !req
350. - For Dexter's sake.
- Yeah.Copy !req
351. He really does seem
to like having you around.Copy !req
352. I love him.Copy !req
353. - And I know that you do too.
- Yeah, you bet I do.Copy !req
354. Can't we work out our issues?Copy !req
355. I think we can.Copy !req
356. It's because I love Dexter...Copy !req
357. that I'm willing to do whatever
it takes to protect him from you.Copy !req
358. I'm not gonna give up until your
murdering ass is behind bars for good.Copy !req
359. That's how we're gonna work out
our issues.Copy !req
360. But, hey...Copy !req
361. thanks for stopping by.Copy !req
362. Okay.Copy !req
363. Son of a bitch.Copy !req
364. You got a dead one.Copy !req
365. Yeah.Copy !req
366. Well, it's gonna have to stay dead.
There's only so much a man can do.Copy !req
367. - What brings you around?
- Merry Christmas.Copy !req
368. - I noticed you were on empty.
- Thanks.Copy !req
369. I was thinking
about the last conversation we had.Copy !req
370. I owe you an apology.Copy !req
371. I should have come forward
with my suspicion about Doakes.Copy !req
372. - More people would be alive.
- If anyone should apologise, it's me.Copy !req
373. I was stupid.Copy !req
374. I should never have entertained Maria's
theory about you being the Butcher.Copy !req
375. - You think she'll ever accept the truth?
- She already has.Copy !req
376. - We found Doakes' boathouse.
- Really?Copy !req
377. What's even more amazing
is what we found hidden inside it.Copy !req
378. I won't go into details, except to say
it leaves no doubt as to Doakes' guilt.Copy !req
379. Believe me, you won't have to worry
about LaGuerta anymore.Copy !req
380. Well, I gotta say, that's about the best
Christmas present I could've imagined.Copy !req
381. You and me both.
Have a good Christmas with your boy.Copy !req
382. We Will.Copy !req
383. Christmas just got a lot less merry
for Hector Estrada.Copy !req
384. My late lamented Dark Passenger
would be very pleased.Copy !req
385. If I can break this last strand
from my past...Copy !req
386. do I get the future I want?Copy !req
387. - Yeah.
- I went to see Matthews again.Copy !req
388. They're calling off the investigation.Copy !req
389. You sure?Copy !req
390. Yeah. They bought it. Everything.Copy !req
391. Well, let's hope they stay bought.Copy !req
392. Thanks, Deb.Copy !req
393. - You're Hector Estrada?
- I know you?Copy !req
394. You do now. Steve Gaskill.Copy !req
395. Come on, man. You're a legend.Copy !req
396. You're gonna be a stain if you
don't crawl to where you came from.Copy !req
397. I know I'm way out of line.
I gotta tell you about my situation.Copy !req
398. I have this contact in Honduras,
an old Army buddy.Copy !req
399. He sends me a crate of sativa
every other month.Copy !req
400. I've been trying to lay it off. You know,
college campuses and whatnot.Copy !req
401. But it keeps piling up.
It's too much for me to move.Copy !req
402. - How much are we talking about?
- Enough to make you shit your pants.Copy !req
403. I've been trying to find a way
into the Hispanic market.Copy !req
404. - Here you are. It's Kismet.
- Kiss who?Copy !req
405. It's good luck for both of us.Copy !req
406. I can show you the stuff.Copy !req
407. If you're interested,
maybe we can work something out.Copy !req
408. Let me hear you say
you're not a cop.Copy !req
409. I'm not a cop, man.Copy !req
410. Jeez, we know a lot of the same people.
Tuerto, Pepe Chap.Copy !req
411. - I've sold plenty of shit to them.
- Fuck.Copy !req
412. Long time since I've dealt
with those guys.Copy !req
413. - Where and when?
- Thirty-five Quayside Road. Tonight.Copy !req
414. Ten o'clock. Unless you got something
else to do on Christmas Eve.Copy !req
415. I'll see you then.Copy !req
416. - Yep.
- Dex, it's Angel.Copy !req
417. Debra's at St. Joseph's.
She's been in a car accident.Copy !req
418. I'll meet you at the hospital.Copy !req
419. Did you fill out all the questions?Copy !req
420. - Dex.
- How is she?Copy !req
421. She's fine.Copy !req
422. Her wrist is broken, lots of bruising,
but she'll be out by tomorrow.Copy !req
423. What happened?Copy !req
424. Apparently, she blacked out
or something behind the wheel.Copy !req
425. Does Debra have a prescription
for anti-anxiety medication?Copy !req
426. Not that there's a problem.
Most people do.Copy !req
427. Yeah, she does. Why?Copy !req
428. Doctor said there was a lot of that
in her system.Copy !req
429. Almost three times the normal dose.Copy !req
430. Maybe she lost track
on how much she took.Copy !req
431. You know, it happens.Copy !req
432. Well, why is she here in Hialeah?Copy !req
433. Where was she going?Copy !req
434. Debra drove here for an interview.Copy !req
435. A second interview with a woman,
Arlene Schram.Copy !req
436. Now, look, Dex, maybe I should've
told you this before now...Copy !req
437. but Deb got a tip...Copy !req
438. that this woman, Arlene Schram,
was a possible witness to a murder.Copy !req
439. A murder committed
by Hannah McKay.Copy !req
440. You should've told me.Copy !req
441. Debra has a bug up her ass
with this girl.Copy !req
442. Maybe that's why she took
all those anti-anxiety pills.Copy !req
443. Because she's convinced
that her brother is dating a killer.Copy !req
444. I don't know what happened.Copy !req
445. I was tired. I was driving.Copy !req
446. I kept getting sleepier.Copy !req
447. And, I don't know, I must have
closed my eyes for a second.Copy !req
448. - But the next thing I knew, I was—
- Hanging upside down in a ditch.Copy !req
449. Hanging by my seat belt.Copy !req
450. This is the most fucked-est
Christmas ever.Copy !req
451. And you were gonna spend it
with Arlene Schram.Copy !req
452. Hannah told you?Copy !req
453. Hannah knew?Copy !req
454. She was at my house yesterday...Copy !req
455. asking me to back off.Copy !req
456. Arlene must've called
after I left her house.Copy !req
457. Hannah was at your house
yesterday?Copy !req
458. Yes.Copy !req
459. And now I'm here.Copy !req
460. - Fucking hell, Dexter. It's like—
- She didn't poison you.Copy !req
461. Well, I sure as shit didn't swallow
a handful of pills.Copy !req
462. The doctor said that it's possible
the drugs built up in your system.Copy !req
463. I took one.Copy !req
464. One. Last night.Copy !req
465. That drug has a short half-life.Copy !req
466. Gotta hand it to her.
That's a really good plan.Copy !req
467. Making it look I accidentally took
too much of a prescription that I have?Copy !req
468. It's not a hard drug to get.Copy !req
469. - How would she know you were on it?
- You must have mentioned it.Copy !req
470. I never did. No.Copy !req
471. That's the thing about people
that poison people.Copy !req
472. They're really fucking sneaky.Copy !req
473. So she what, poisoned you
while she was at your house last night?Copy !req
474. I didn't let her inside my house
last night.Copy !req
475. - Deb—
- I went for a run.Copy !req
476. Maybe she broke in after I left
or something.Copy !req
477. She broke into your house
and did what?Copy !req
478. - I don't know how she did it.
- Because she didn't.Copy !req
479. Fuck, this is what happened
to Sal Price.Copy !req
480. He got close to knowing the truth
about Hannah, she killed him.Copy !req
481. There's no proof
she killed Sal Price...Copy !req
482. and no proof
that she poisoned you.Copy !req
483. Well, maybe we need
to find the proof.Copy !req
484. There's another explanation
for what happened.Copy !req
485. You took more of those pills
than you think you did.Copy !req
486. You've been under a lot of stress,
Deb.Copy !req
487. No shit, Sherlock.Copy !req
488. So you took one and you lost track.
You took another.Copy !req
489. And another.
It's possible. It happens.Copy !req
490. You have to admit that, right?Copy !req
491. Deb's more right than she knows
about what happened to Sal Price.Copy !req
492. But Hannah wouldn't do that to Debra.Copy !req
493. Would she?Copy !req
494. I make my living at crime scenes,
proving what happened.Copy !req
495. But now can I prove
what didn't happen?Copy !req
496. Prove that Hannah
didn't poison Debra?Copy !req
497. Is this proof that Hannah was here?Copy !req
498. Did she break in?Copy !req
499. Or did she simply walk through
an open door?Copy !req
500. Or did this fall off me?
Did I track this in just now?Copy !req
501. The drug works quickly. Deb would've
passed out minutes after ingesting it.Copy !req
502. Sorry for your loss.Copy !req
503. - No, my sister's doing fine.
- Yeah.Copy !req
504. Can't say the same thing
for this poor baby.Copy !req
505. You'll have to go in
through the passenger side.Copy !req
506. I'll see what the lab has to say
about what's in this bottle.Copy !req
507. Hannah didn't poison Debra.Copy !req
508. All I want for Christmas
is for that to be true.Copy !req
509. Merry Christmas Eve.Copy !req
510. We're having a Nochebuena
at the restaurant later.Copy !req
511. Auri will be there.
You should come by.Copy !req
512. Thank you, but I'm not up for it.Copy !req
513. Holidays, family, cheer.Copy !req
514. They're keeping Debra overnight
at the hospital. You should know that.Copy !req
515. I know.Copy !req
516. You wanna tell me
the real reason you're here?Copy !req
517. I've been thinking about
what's next for me.Copy !req
518. Yeah?Copy !req
519. I'm enjoying the restaurant,
even with all the headaches.Copy !req
520. It's real.Copy !req
521. Straightforward.Copy !req
522. You open up, you feed people...Copy !req
523. you clean up, you close up,
then you go home.Copy !req
524. That's it. That's your day.Copy !req
525. You don't carry it with you.Copy !req
526. - Not like this job?
- No.Copy !req
527. And up until, I don't know...Copy !req
528. Mike's death maybe...Copy !req
529. it never got to me.Copy !req
530. It's time, isn't it?Copy !req
531. You ever think about what's next?Copy !req
532. Sometimes.Copy !req
533. I've been looking back a little too.Copy !req
534. You know, wondering
about some choices I've made...Copy !req
535. wishing I'd made different ones.Copy !req
536. Are you talking about me?
Are you talking about you, about us?Copy !req
537. Are you wishing
that it would've worked out?Copy !req
538. No.Copy !req
539. No.Copy !req
540. Okay, just checking.Copy !req
541. So when are you retiring?Copy !req
542. Thought about putting papers in
on the first.Copy !req
543. Happy New Year.Copy !req
544. Let's hope.Copy !req
545. Dexter, hey.Copy !req
546. I was worried about you.Copy !req
547. - Look who's here.
- Daddy's home.Copy !req
548. Come here, bud. Oh, yeah.Copy !req
549. - Thanks for staying over tonight.
- My pleasure.Copy !req
550. Ever since I've gone vegetarian,
watching my brother...Copy !req
551. roast a whole pig grosses me out.Copy !req
552. Besides, you guys are family too.Copy !req
553. Yeah, and so are you.Copy !req
554. How's Debra?Copy !req
555. Yeah, how's she doing?Copy !req
556. She's fine.
She should be out tomorrow.Copy !req
557. Oh, I'm glad to hear that.Copy !req
558. Well, I hope you're hungry, Dexter.Copy !req
559. Look at her. So beautiful.Copy !req
560. But can you ever fully trust
a poisoner?Copy !req
561. Okay, Dexter?Copy !req
562. Dexter.Copy !req
563. Earth to Dexter.Copy !req
564. I think your food coma's hitting
way early.Copy !req
565. - You're right.
- What do you want'?Copy !req
566. A little bit of everything.Copy !req
567. Christmas is a time of expectation.
If you're good, a red-suited fat man...Copy !req
568. will break into your house
and leave presents.Copy !req
569. But Santa Claus doesn't exist.Copy !req
570. The most wonderful time of the year
celebrates a lie.Copy !req
571. ls the future I imagine with Hannah
nothing more than a vision...Copy !req
572. dancing in my head?Copy !req
573. It's funny how we started off
in Santa's Holiday Adventure...Copy !req
574. and here we are,
Christmas Eve together.Copy !req
575. A place I never thought I'd be
with anyone again...Copy !req
576. much less you.Copy !req
577. Thanks.Copy !req
578. I'm not saying this quite right.Copy !req
579. All the men that I've been with...Copy !req
580. there was a lot of running away.Copy !req
581. But when I'm with you...Copy !req
582. I don't wanna go anywhere.Copy !req
583. Stay with me tonight.Copy !req
584. No, I can't. I have somewhere to be.Copy !req
585. Debra?Copy !req
586. Estrada?Copy !req
587. Good for you.Copy !req
588. He's somebody you've wanted
for a long time.Copy !req
589. Someone I thought I'd never get.Copy !req
590. I imagine that will be
deeply satisfying.Copy !req
591. When Deb had her accident...Copy !req
592. she was heading
to Arlene Schram's house.Copy !req
593. She was hoping Arlene
would give her a statement...Copy !req
594. that would let her arrest you.Copy !req
595. But Deb never made it there.Copy !req
596. She blacked out behind the wheel.Copy !req
597. - Does that sound familiar?
- Familiar?Copy !req
598. Sal Price.Copy !req
599. It's what you hoped would happen
to him before you poisoned him.Copy !req
600. Are you...?Copy !req
601. Do you think that I had something to do
with Debra's accident?Copy !req
602. Did you?Copy !req
603. Oh, I can't believe you would
even think something like that.Copy !req
604. Say something.Copy !req
605. You will do whatever it takes
to protect yourself.Copy !req
606. That does not include
trying to poison your sister.Copy !req
607. You yourself told me Arlene saw you
poison that counsellor's coffee.Copy !req
608. And I can't tell you how many times
I saw Arlene shoot up.Copy !req
609. I was nervous about what she could do,
but then I went to see her...Copy !req
610. and she's a mess...Copy !req
611. that any law student could discredit.
She's not a threat to me.Copy !req
612. But Deb is.Copy !req
613. Do you think I would be that stupid...Copy !req
614. to try and poison
the lieutenant of Homicide?Copy !req
615. And to think
that you wouldn't figure it out?Copy !req
616. Wouldn't exactly bring us
closer together, would it?Copy !req
617. You know I love you, right?Copy !req
618. Yes.Copy !req
619. Do you love me?Copy !req
620. Yes.Copy !req
621. I don't know if I believe you.Copy !req
622. You were at her house last night.Copy !req
623. I thought if she knew how much I cared
then she would back down a little.Copy !req
624. But she never will.Copy !req
625. What happens next week
when Deb has a heart attack?Copy !req
626. Do you hear yourself?Copy !req
627. If anything happens, I'll wonder
if you had something to do with it.Copy !req
628. Well, that's your problem,
your lack of trust.Copy !req
629. Your inability to trust.Copy !req
630. God, it's like...Copy !req
631. It's like you have something
deep inside of you...Copy !req
632. that you think is undeserving
of love.Copy !req
633. - Don't turn this back on me.
- You're accusing me.Copy !req
634. I ju— I know what you're capable of.Copy !req
635. Okay, I'm not sure
quite how to say this...Copy !req
636. but I've never made a mistake.Copy !req
637. If I had poisoned Debra,
then she would be dead.Copy !req
638. If you know me
the way that you say that you do...Copy !req
639. then you know that that's true.Copy !req
640. Maybe it all was just an accident.Copy !req
641. It must have been really scary
to see her in the hospital like that.Copy !req
642. It was.Copy !req
643. It's understandable
you would try to make sense...Copy !req
644. of a situation
that doesn't make sense...Copy !req
645. but you're doing that
at the expense of this relationship.Copy !req
646. I'm not trying to. I...Copy !req
647. I don't wanna lose you.Copy !req
648. I'm sure about you.Copy !req
649. I'm 100-percent sure...Copy !req
650. but you need to be able
to say the same thing about me.Copy !req
651. I know.Copy !req
652. We could have it all.Copy !req
653. I think you need to figure out
what it is that you want...Copy !req
654. and what type of future
you wanna have.Copy !req
655. It's right in here.Copy !req
656. What the fuck is this, huh?
Where's the stuff?Copy !req
657. Fuck.Copy !req
658. Estrada.Copy !req
659. Estrada.Copy !req
660. Estrada, it's time.Copy !req
661. The Department of Corrections
kept that for you.Copy !req
662. That was very thoughtful.Copy !req
663. You've changed a lot
in the past 40 years.Copy !req
664. So have I.Copy !req
665. Three men murdered my mother.Copy !req
666. Juan Pablo Aliso,
shot in another deal.Copy !req
667. Santos Jimenez.Copy !req
668. You remember him.
He testified against you.Copy !req
669. I cut him into six roughly-equal pieces
with a chain saw.Copy !req
670. Just like he did my mother.Copy !req
671. Like I'm gonna do to you.Copy !req
672. Holy fuck, you're Dickie Moser.Copy !req
673. Dexter Moser.Copy !req
674. I am Dexter Moser.Copy !req
675. And I'm gonna kill you.Copy !req
676. Is that what all this is about?Copy !req
677. I was 3 years old
when you left me in that container.Copy !req
678. Who am I gonna be
when you're dead?Copy !req
679. Still some fucking freak, probably.Copy !req
680. We'll see.Copy !req
681. You're working with her, aren't you?Copy !req
682. What?Copy !req
683. That fucking cop bitch,
the one who got me out.Copy !req
684. Oh, yeah, they said
that there was a big push...Copy !req
685. for my release
from the captain of Miami Metro.Copy !req
686. LaGuerta?Copy !req
687. She fucking set me up.Copy !req
688. You're not the one who was set up.Copy !req
689. Officer.Copy !req
690. We followed him here,
but we lost him.Copy !req
691. Till we heard the gunshot.
That's when we called you.Copy !req
692. - All right. Anything else since?
- No.Copy !req
693. Show me where.Copy !req
694. What is going on in this place?Copy !req
695. Keep looking for Estrada and anyone
else with him. Estrada's not alone.Copy !req
696. Don't make a fucking sound.Copy !req
697. Around the other side.Copy !req
698. It wasn't the universe giving me a gift.
It was LaGuerta.Copy !req
699. I can make sure one member
of the Morgan family...Copy !req
700. has a good Christmas.Copy !req
701. Yes.Copy !req
702. It's Sergio. You told me to call you
when I ran that water you brought in.Copy !req
703. What'd you find?Copy !req
704. That water's like
40 percent alprazolam.Copy !req
705. That's an anti-anxiety drug.Copy !req
706. Someone must have wanted
to knock themselves out.Copy !req
707. But this time of year,
who can blame them?Copy !req
708. - Thanks.
- You got it.Copy !req
709. It was no accident.Copy !req
710. Hannah dissolved the pills
into Deb's water...Copy !req
711. so that she'd pass out
behind the wheel.Copy !req
712. A problem in Hannah's life solved.Copy !req
713. Hannah poisoned Debra.Copy !req
714. It's not the future I had wanted
with Hannah...Copy !req
715. but maybe it's what I deserve.Copy !req
716. You barely said two words
on the ride home.Copy !req
717. I have something for you.Copy !req
718. A present?Copy !req
719. A new car, I hope.Copy !req
720. I guess it's a present.Copy !req
721. It's Sal Price's pen.Copy !req
722. If you test it, you'll find traces
of aconite on the end...Copy !req
723. and Hannah's prints.Copy !req
724. So that's how she did it.Copy !req
725. I found it the next morning.
I kept it out of evidence.Copy !req
726. I can't believe
you're gonna turn her in.Copy !req
727. As long as she's free,
you're not safe.Copy !req
728. Dex, I know how hard this must be
for you.Copy !req
729. You're here.Copy !req
730. Does that mean
that you know what you want?Copy !req
731. Yes.Copy !req
732. - Hannah...
- You have to kiss me or it's bad luck.Copy !req
733. What's the matter?Copy !req
734. I'm sorry.Copy !req
735. Sorry?Copy !req
736. Hannah McKay, you're under arrest
for the murder of Sal Price.Copy !req
737. You should have killed me.Copy !req
738. I should know better
than to count on the future.Copy !req
739. All you can ever believe in is now...Copy !req
740. this moment.Copy !req
741. Because in a blink...Copy !req
742. everything can change.Copy !req
