1. All demon hunters have to take an oath.

2. I swear to protect the world from monsters,

3. no matter how big, or gross, or scary they are.

4. I swear to protect—

5. Shh!

6. I think there's a demon outside.

7. Mary, did you like the movie?

8. It was okay. Not enough shooting.

9. I told you not to let her watch any more of those shoot-'em-ups.

10. I just can't help giving my only daughter everything she desires.

11. John, that man is staring at us.

12. I know. Walk faster.

13. Mary!

14. I swear to protect the world from monsters.

15. Mary!

16. "A giant monster with a face that opens in three pieces."

17. Ha. Sure, buddy. I'll get the sketch artist right on it.

18. Oh, yeah.

19. I spoke to the college. You haven't been to work in weeks.

20. This is my work.

21. Don't you understand that what we saw means my research,

22. my theories about the other realm, were right?

23. Your daughter never sees you anymore! I never see you!

24. It's you that I'm doing this for.

25. There are monsters breaching our world,

26. and the authorities can be relied on for nothing.

27. I need to find a way to give myself power.

28. Real power.

29. So that I can protect this family.

30. Like you protected us in the subway?

31. John? John, I didn't mean that.

32. It doesn't matter what you think of me.

33. All that matters is the strength to defeat the darkness that threatens us.

34. Without that,

35. we have nothing.

36. Yo, lady! Not to be a backseat driver,

37. but I'm pretty sure this violates the Geneva Convention or something.

38. The Geneva Convention only applies to humans.

39. I'm a human!

40. In your case, I think the UN will understand.

41. This has got to be the second-worst job you ever gave me.

42. Oh, you mean after the Raccoon City job?

43. - Third-worst. - Hmm.

44. Patriot for Arkham.

45. How're you liking those new toys, Lieutenant?

46. Useful.

47. Although it would have been more useful

48. if you gave me this shit before the mission.

49. They're just a prototype Goldstein whipped up in the lab.

50. Not approved for field use yet.

51. Uh, I got her other prototype ready for you to test sometime too.

52. Can't wait.

53. Sentry, King, what's your status?

54. All good here.

55. - We're being the best decoys we can be. - Good here too.

56. Although I'm worried the doc's head might explode from excitement.

57. The transmitter works precisely as I theorized, of course.

58. It emits one half of a quantum interference pattern.

59. The rest of the pattern comes from the amulet's other piece.

60. So, if that thing is needed to destroy the wall between us and the Demon Realm,

61. how about we smash it right now?

62. No!

63. Absolutely no smashing it!

64. The amulet's signal is actively maintaining the quantum wall.

65. The natural state of the two realms is to be joined.

66. If we destroy the transmitter,

67. we don't know what would happen to the stability of either universe.

68. Not to mention what we stand to gain from studying it.

69. The potential applications in quantum computing alone...

70. Okay, okay, just asking.

71. Uh, guys, let's get back to base in one piece

72. before we talk about possibly destabilizing any universes.

73. I've been in tough spots like this before.

74. The trick is not to buckle under the pressure.

75. Hmm? Just give it up, Dante.

76. It's over!

77. Sure, they have their boots on our necks,

78. but we need to buckle down, and think positive.

79. Uh...

80. Ow!

81. What the...

82. Oh.

83. - How are the prisoners? - A little too fucking comfortable.

84. What was that for?

85. Whoa! You gotta give me a warning before you set off a flamethrower.

86. If you, uh, don't mind, Lieutenant.

87. So, do the fire jets come standard on this model or...

88. I've been in the market for a flamethrower myself.

89. Custom anti-demon upgrade.

90. If the Hellblood somehow gets past those,

91. there's always the nano-explosive I injected him with,

92. that's programmed to activate if he gets outside of a one-mile radius.

93. Even that thing should have trouble healing

94. from a bomb going off in its fucking neck.

95. Damn! Yo, I'd hate to see what you did to a full demon.

96. Not to question your methods. At all.

97. Don't tell me you have a weak stomach, Anders.

98. I'd have thought you'd be rock hard for revenge

99. after what the White Rabbit did to your team.

100. I... I'm just trying to make it home. You know?

101. Hmm.

102. That's... unexpected.

103. Something wrong?

104. Not necessarily. It appears the pattern coming from the transmitter is changing.

105. Modulating itself for some reason.

106. - You sure they cleared you for action? - Oh, yeah.

107. I'm good, Lieutenant. Solid. A-1.

108. Lieutenant Arkham, this is Baines. Report in.

109. We're rolling smoothly, sir. Should be home in under an hour.

110. Good. With the fate of Heaven and Earth at stake,

111. there's no one else I would count on.

112. - Patch me through to the prisoner. - Sir?

113. I want to speak with him. He interests me.

114. Dante.

115. This is Vice President William Baines.

116. The Vice President? You mean, like, from TV?

117. Boy, am I starting to regret voting for this guy.

118. I saw the footage from the raid on your apartment.

119. Your abilities are truly a remarkable gift.

120. Lieutenant Arkham tells me you're part demon.

121. She's wrong.

122. Yeah, I've got abilities.

123. Maybe not exactly human ones, but they're...

124. I don't know, some sort of superhero mutations.

125. Look, there's no part of me that's demon.

126. There can't be.

127. Your mother and your brother,

128. they were both killed by demons, is that right?

129. Yes.

130. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We all have dead families and traumatic childhoods.

131. What? You think I talked?

132. Okay, I talked,

133. but you should have seen what they did to me!

134. What about your father, Dante?

135. Couldn't tell you. I never met him.

136. I see.

137. There is demon blood in you, that much is certain.

138. You were born with a black stain on your soul.

139. But none of us are beyond God's light.

140. He may still see fit to cleanse that stain,

141. should you prove yourself worthy of it.

142. Sir, with all due respect, you're wasting your time.

143. It doesn't matter how much of the demon's blood is unholy.

144. Any is enough to make it a demon.

145. Your passion is your strength, Mary.

146. But don't allow it to blind you.

147. Winning this war will take more than anything human can provide.

148. You've seen Dante's raw power.

149. Imagine what that type of asset could do, if used correctly.

150. You want to use this thing? Has the president approved that?

151. All the president cares about is maintaining his image.

152. I set the policies.

153. I bring the donors. He approves what I tell him to.

154. The Lord would not have sent us such a powerful instrument to enact his will,

155. if he did not intend for us to use it.

156. Road's closed.

157. Looks like we're taking a detour.

158. I'll go check it out.

159. That's it. That's what's causing the modulation.

160. The signal adjusts in response

161. to the other transmitter's geospatial location

162. to keep the overall pattern in sync.

163. So the other amulet piece must be...

164. getting closer.

165. We stopped!

166. This is our shot!

167. Hurry up with that thing!

168. It's almost...

169. I figured you out, Hellblood.

170. Do you really think this whole jabbering moron act was going to work?

171. Uh, maybe. What act are you talking about?

172. The one where you don't know you're a demon?

173. You just happen to be walking around

174. with half the key to fucking Hell on your neck?

175. The key to Hell? Whoa, whoa, whoa.

176. I think you've all got the wrong necklace. Seriously.

177. It's just some old family heirloom my mom gave me.

178. What happened?

179. Whoever is left, protect the amulet. That's an order.

180. Protect it with your lives.

181. We've got nothing.

182. Did anyone else make it?

183. We're clear.

184. But there's no way to get to you.

185. Are you okay?

186. I think...

187. my leg's stuck.

188. - Not anymore. - Fuck!

189. What is this? Are we getting rescued?

190. Can you think of anyone who'd want to rescue either one of us?

191. We ain't getting rescued!

192. Give it to me, I can protect it.

193. It's the Rabbit!

194. Does anyone have eyes on it?

195. I have this area secure.

196. Do you now?

197. Somehow, I truly doubt that.

198. Hey, demons! Big mistake!

199. My boy Dante here is going to whoop all your asses!

200. What are you doing?

201. Just one second!

202. So, you want to surrender individually,

203. or all at once?

204. End her.

205. A sincere "thank you"

206. to you all and the government of these United States of the Earth realm

207. for picking up the rest of my amulet for me!

208. God bless America!

209. Hmm. Hmm.

210. Oh, shit! Our bullets don't affect him!

211. His DNA is different!

212. A new evolution!

213. King!

214. What happened? Get them back!

215. Get them back!

216. Sir, Air Force Two is on the runway.

217. We need to get you to a secure location right now, sir.

218. Wow! And by my own brother!

219. What? It's not my fault you just stood there!

220. Get your shit together!

221. What use are any of us to the cause if we can't kill one little girl?

222. I don't know.

223. Looks like she pruned you pretty good.

224. None of this would be necessary if you'd got the amulet when you were supposed to.

225. And your rogue attempt to fix it nearly exposed us.

226. We will watch your blood drain

227. for our leader.

228. Where is your leader?

229. Hello, Anders.

230. I see my improvements to your face are settling in nicely.

231. No! No! What are you doing?

232. I had to! He got to my daughters.

233. And now he's going to destroy the whole world!

234. You've condemned us all!

235. What good is saving the world if I can't save my own family?

236. Fuck was that?

237. The amulet.

238. He did it.

239. You have the amulet and the sword, transmitter and decoder.

240. Why... Why aren't you using them?

241. Why not open the rift, here and now?

242. Shame. I really had higher hopes for you, Doctor.

243. You're still missing a piece.

244. It needs some kind of...

245. Uh... Uh...

246. Decryption key.

247. There it is.

248. That sharp mind I've heard about.

249. Sadly limited by its service to your master's profits.

250. You're going to thank me when the wall comes down.

251. Then you'll see what true freedom looks like.

252. Let's make this convincing.

253. Not again!

254. No one said the apocalypse would come easy.

255. Hey, Rabbit!

256. Hop your way out of this!

257. See? Told you there was a rabbit!

258. Hey, don't his necklace look kind of like your necklace,

259. but with the other half of it?

260. Whoa! I... I'm stronger than I thought.

261. That's my boy!

262. Ta-ta! Have to run.

263. We go now.

264. Bloody hell. Just when I was about to kill her.

265. Just when you were about to kill her?

266. Just when I was about to kill her!

267. I'll get it back, Mom. I promise.

268. He's here.

269. You have your orders.

270. All right, now I'm pissed.

271. Nice one, bro!

272. Damn, he's cool.

273. Come on! Come on, come on, come on.

274. You can do it.

275. I believe in you.

276. Hey, while I've got you here, what's it like being a demon?

277. Do you have to be evil?

278. Like, if someone was only part demon,

279. if maybe their dad was possibly one,

280. but their mom was a human,

281. you think they'd get a choice, right?

282. Thanks for the talk!

283. You're a great listener!

284. That's it. Let it out.

285. Let it out!

286. You two all right?

287. Yeah, only until that killer Beanie Baby decides to end the world.

288. I'm working on that.

289. You put a tracking device on the amulet?

290. Just in case.

291. What is it?

292. How far away are they?

293. Almost a mile. That means...

294. Jackpot!

295. Mmm? Mmm.

296. It seems I still need to push you harder,

297. son of Sparda.

298. It's your lucky day.

299. See, my power works off of quantum mirroring.

300. I can only take on a new body

301. if I'm copying a form made of living tissue,

302. which means I need to keep you alive.

303. One of you.

304. IN MEMORY OF KEVIN CONROY
