1. Inside. In the kitchen.

2. Yeah.

3. Where are you?

4. I don't know.

5. I've only been...

6. Been heading north for about two hours.

7. I crossed a river maybe an hour ago.

8. Anybody see you?

9. No.

10. Keep it that way.

11. You're in Salamanca territory.

12. Everybody's gonna be on the lookout for you.

13. And I mean everybody.

14. That includes the Federales.

15. Is it done?

16. Yeah. He's dead.

17. There were some...

18. regular people...

19. at that house, some old folks.

20. What about them?

21. Got no information on that.

22. When we hang up, take the battery out of your phone.

23. Head north.

24. Stay out of sight.

25. I'm fixing up a place for you to lie low.

26. In an hour, you put the battery back in

27. and I'll call you and tell you where to go.

28. Don Eduardo.

29. Are you all right?

30. An accident. Sorry to trouble you.

31. May I come in?

32. Of course!

33. Sugar, milk?

34. No need. Thank you.

35. Delicious!

36. What's wrong?

37. Don Eduardo is here!

38. Don Eduardo.

39. So good to see you!

40. I'd shake your hand, but...

41. Look at you! Mountain man!

42. You look like ZZ Top!

43. ZZ...?

44. Clean up for Don Eduardo! Go wash, shave!

45. Oh, sure!

46. I'm sorry, Don Eduardo.

47. Go!

48. Hey, Mateo.

49. Keep the mustache and the soul patch. It looks good.

50. Yes, Don Eduardo.

51. You're sure you don't want breakfast?

52. The eggs are fresh from this morning.

53. How are Mateo's teeth doing? Better?

54. Yes! Your dentist worked so hard!

55. Matti used to be up all night with the pain.

56. Now he sleeps like a baby. Thanks to you, Don Eduardo.

57. That's good, Sylvia.

58. And the goats?

59. From your hometown? They don't miss the mountains?

60. They're fine. We're expecting two more next month.

61. You sent for more?

62. No.

63. Cabritos. Babies.

64. You're almost finished. I'll make more. You're sure about breakfast?

65. Just coffee is fine.

66. It's all right?

67. Very handsome.

68. - Hey. - Hey.

69. So, uh, what's on the agenda?

70. Agh, well, I just got 20 new clients from Grant, so...

71. - Twenty? - Yeah.

72. I have meetings with four of them this afternoon

73. and a preliminary hearing with Flaherty first thing.

74. Juvenile.

75. What about you?

76. Mm.

77. Same thing.

78. Huge day.

79. Yes, your mother and your grandmother.

80. If they can take time off from work, both of them.

81. Do you have any uncles or...?

82. Yeah. That would be great.

83. Do you have anything nice to wear?

84. Like a sports coat, or, um...

85. - a collared shirt? - Hey.

86. You know what? I'll bring something for you.

87. That's too nice.

88. No, it's no problem.

89. You know how to get there?

90. Tijeras and Fifth. That's right. Yes.

91. All right. I will meet you at 9:30 sharp.

92. It's gonna be fine, Ronnie.

93. Well, tell them it's gonna be fine.

94. Because it will be.

95. Okay.

96. Thanks.

97. I'll bring it back clean.

98. Shoot. Do you have cash for the taxi?

99. Crap, all's I've got is 5 bucks.

100. Um...

101. Think the cabbie will break a hundred?

102. Good morning, Don Juan.

103. Lalo Salamanca is dead.

104. Gunmen broke into his hacienda last night.

105. Hired operators from the look of it.

106. It was messy.

107. Very messy.

108. As for the Salamancas...

109. "Sangre por sangre."

110. Yes. That is the Salamanca way.

111. We are on the verge of chaos.

112. But who did this?

113. One minute, I hear talk of the Colombians, the next, traitors.

114. Traitors close to home.

115. We know this much.

116. Ignacio Varga is a rat.

117. Don Eladio has put a price on his head.

118. Every man we have is searching for him.

119. When Varga's found, we'll know who he was working for.

120. I assume Don Hector has been told.

121. I called him myself.

122. As for if he understood me, quién sabe.

123. Listen to me.

124. You must be careful, Gustavo.

125. This is a dangerous time.

126. No one is above suspicion.

127. I understand.

128. Good.

129. Tell me again about the sicario who made the final report.

130. He was already wounded when he talked to our cut-out.

131. Federales found him dead at the scene.

132. But they got Salamanca.

133. The mercenaries are dead

134. to a man.

135. And yet, their mission was a success.

136. It has been known to happen.

137. I could go down there and get Varga, bring him home safe.

138. There's ways to do it on the quiet.

139. Unless you already have something in the works.

140. Speak your mind.

141. Loyalty goes both ways.

142. Varga has done everything you asked him.

143. He wasn't given a choice.

144. Maybe so, but he played a tough game.

145. And he played it on the square.

146. And?

147. When all is said and done,

148. the kid deserves your respect.

149. He has it.

150. Is there more you wish to say?

151. I hope this brings your guy more luck than it brought me.

152. You good?

153. I'm great.

154. Detective. Ms. Khalil.

155. Good morning.

156. I've been calling you for two days.

157. Oh. My girl's out sick.

158. What can I do you for?

159. Tomorrow morning, 10 a.m.

160. Brunch? With just you and me, right?

161. I mean, won't the big fella here feel like a third wheel?

162. You and I are meeting Parson in chambers.

163. I'm asking for an emergency hearing to alter the terms of De Guzman's release.

164. Sounds like a blast.

165. Unfortunately, I'm booked solid.

166. I checked your client's place of residence.

167. The address he gave? It's a Dairy Queen in Alta Monte.

168. The family that showed at the bail hearing can't be located.

169. No driver's license, no tax rolls, no school records. Nothing.

170. Fact is, there isn't a single Elizabeth McKinnon

171. under the age of 73 living in New Mexico.

172. Well, this is...

173. This is surprising.

174. Your client has disappeared, and I'm not waiting six weeks

175. to start looking for him.

176. Hey, my guy put up 7 million in bail.

177. You think he's just gonna walk away from that?

178. Who comes up with 7 million bucks in cash?

179. You know what I think?

180. I think the family was fake,

181. and I think you knew it the whole time.

182. Hold up, let's just get real for a second.

183. The hearing didn't go your way, and now you're trying for a do-over.

184. You say my guy ran?

185. I say, he's got 7 million reasons for showing up

186. when he's legally required to do so.

187. So, no, I won't be due process window dressing

188. at any crash meeting with Parson.

189. And if you try throwing any of this crap

190. around in front of the judge without my presence,

191. here's an accusation: prosecutorial misconduct.

192. Career-ending prosecutorial misconduct.

193. None of that changes the fact the guy's not who he said he was.

194. No, no, no. Hold on. You guys got caught with your pants around your ankles

195. and somehow that's on me?

196. I don't think so. You've got two dozen lawyers up there.

197. You got investigators, you got the whole damn police force,

198. and it's my fault you can't keep track of Lalo?

199. That is not my job.

200. Lalo?

201. Who's Lalo?

202. What? What did I say?

203. I meant, De Guzman.

204. I have more than one client.

205. Heh. So, ahem, I'll see you at the preliminary in six weeks

206. as scheduled.

207. Until then, I have clients who need me.

208. Nice threads.

209. Thanks.

210. - Hi. - Hi.

211. How'd it go?

212. The suit definitely helped.

213. This kid, he's a high school senior,

214. good grades, works two jobs,

215. has this so-called... friend,

216. some snot-nosed brat who drives a brand-new Mustang convertible.

217. One Saturday night, Richie Rich says, "Hey, you wanna drive my car?"

218. How can my guy resist?

219. The friend tells him to pull over at a liquor store.

220. Rich kid goes in and robs the place with his uncle's bowie knife.

221. - No. - Yeah.

222. My guy's out in the Mustang, playing with the radio.

223. He's got no idea.

224. Rich kid comes out with 425 in cash, bottle of Jägermeister,

225. tells my guy to floor it, which he does, happily,

226. because he's completely in the dark about the robbery.

227. Yeah, but when they pick him up, your kid is driving.

228. - He's driving, yes. - Of course, he's driving.

229. My guy ends up with a public defender.

230. Rich kid's family brings in a top-dollar defense from out of state,

231. if you can believe it, Denver,

232. and they're trying to dump the whole thing on my guy.

233. It was my client's idea,

234. he was forcing the rich kid into it, the whole deal.

235. Oakley's going for aggravated robbery and assault.

236. - Oakley? That dick. - Yeah.

237. But your kid was never even inside the store.

238. Flaherty forced joinder, but I...

239. I think I can make it work for us.

240. Trial's next month.

241. This was really good, have some.

242. - You want anything? - Uh...

243. You should definitely try these.

244. - Yeah. Sure. - Excuse me?

245. Can we get a menu and another order of sopaipillas?

246. - You got it. - Thank you.

247. And there was a homeless woman that I had to get out of MDC.

248. That's another story.

249. Sounds like the day from hell.

250. It was one of the best days of my life.

251. My professional life.

252. How about you?

253. I rented us a car.

254. It's the Ford.

255. So, Saul Goodman drives a brown Ford Taurus?

256. Detroit calls that taupe, I believe.

257. Don't you think Saul Goodman would drive something

258. with a little more... flair?

259. - Such as? - I don't know.

260. Definitely American-made.

261. Something showy.

262. And Saul Goodman has an office.

263. Something eye-catching. Good location.

264. - By the courthouse? - Yeah.

265. A cathedral of justice.

266. Oh, ho. A cathedral of justice. Okay. Yeah.

267. We should start looking for something for you.

268. I mean, for Saul.

269. Sold. When do we start?

270. - Saturday's good. - Saturday it is.

271. I was thinking about our first move.

272. On the Howard front.

273. I think there's a way to get Sandpiper settled

274. and leave him standing. Bruised, maybe, but still standing.

275. Maybe the trick is, we're not working on Howard, not at first.

276. Maybe we start with Cliff Main.

277. So...

278. We're doing that?

279. I thought we were. Aren't we?

280. You think we shouldn't.

281. I didn't say that. Um...

282. Here we are.

283. - Did you decide on anything? - Not yet.

284. Can I get you a drink while you're thinking about it?

285. Yeah. A Coke. Thanks.

286. All right. Here you go.

287. Okay.

288. So the, uh...

289. the Howard thing.

290. What were you thinking?

291. You sure?

292. Eh. What's the harm in listening?

293. Well...

294. It has to be paced right.

295. We move too fast, they'll see us coming.

296. And it has to make sense.

297. Doesn't have to stand up in court,

298. but there has to be a reason for everything.

299. Yeah.

300. I'm at the motel. No one saw me but the lady who runs it.

301. All right. We're working on getting you out.

302. It's gonna take a couple of days. I'll call you when our guys are set up.

303. They'll be driving a farm truck.

304. When they pass, you jump in the back.

305. It's gonna happen fast, they're not gonna wait for you.

306. There's some clothes in the closet. Wear them.

307. What happens between now and then?

308. Stay out of sight.

309. Eladio put a price on your head.

310. Anyone comes through that door, you shoot.

311. You got it?

312. Yeah.

313. Here you go.

314. Thanks.

315. See, you build it too high, your marble's gonna run off the track.

316. It's not finished.

317. When it's finished, it'll work.

318. Okay.

319. - May I please have some more lemonade? - No.

320. You drank about a gallon already.

321. Please, Pop-pop.

322. Huh.

323. All right. One more and that's it.

324. Thank you, Pop-pop.

325. Three...

326. Four...

327. Five...

328. Six...

329. Oh, wait.

330. There they are.

331. Oh, yeah.

332. Okay. They're on the fourth hole.

333. Assuming they're playing nine, that should give you about...

334. 45 minutes, safely.

335. You gotta teach me to play golf.

336. A lawyer should be able to play golf.

337. Any time.

338. You all right?

339. Yup.

340. Piece of cake.

341. Excuse me, sir.

342. Are you a member or a guest?

343. I'm just here for a tour.

344. Welcome. Front desk is straight ahead.

345. Hi, I called about a tour?

346. If you'll follow me to the members' lounge?

347. Hi. Norm Wakely.

348. I understand you're in the market for a tour?

349. That's right. Saul Goodman.

350. - Great to meet you, Mr. Goodman. - Please, call me Saul.

351. Great. So, Saul, can I get you anything before we get started?

352. The coffee here is just unbeatable.

353. Well, I'm fine.

354. I'm fully caffeinated.

355. Well, Saul, you and I are standing on hallowed ground.

356. Five presidents have played on our course...

357. - Really? - ... starting with Dwight D. Eisenhower.

358. But the story goes back even further than that...

359. Norm. Can I have a sec, please?

360. Kevin, hey, how's it going?

361. I'm sorry, I'm sure this will just be a moment.

362. Mr. Goodman...

363. I'm so sorry,

364. but I've just been reminded that, in fact,

365. we have a two-year waiting list.

366. Two years, wow.

367. Maybe I could, uh, go on the tour anyway,

368. I mean, because I'm here. Just in case.

369. Well, unfortunately, we suspended tours.

370. - For the moment. - You're not even giving tours?

371. I apologize for the inconvenience.

372. We'll be happy to call you if the situation changes.

373. - You left your number? - Uh-huh.

374. Well, we'll be in touch.

375. If the situation changes.

376. Again, I'm sorry for your time and trouble.

377. We just... We had a few crossed wires.

378. Well...

379. Okay, then.

380. Thank you.

381. - I'm sorry. - Yes?

382. Just so I understand.

383. You were gonna give me a tour and then you realized

384. - you don't need new members? - We have a waiting list.

385. Okay, but you're the membership director, so you would've known that before.

386. - I know. - It doesn't really add up.

387. I mean, I came in and everyone's rolling out the red carpet,

388. and then all of a sudden, something changed.

389. - I don't... - Mr. Goodman...

390. Goodman. The name.

391. The second you heard it, everything turned on a dime.

392. Waiting list? I think you're talking about an exclusion list.

393. It's okay. I should've known, because, I mean, look.

394. It's wall-to-wall mayonnaise in here.

395. So if you're gonna be restricted, have the courage to say so.

396. - There's no question of... - Here it is, folks.

397. Anti-Semitism.

398. Alive and well, right here in Albuquerque...

399. Sir. We have many Jewish members.

400. Oh, good. Well, you've met your quota, then.

401. - Gold star for you. - Hold on.

402. That's gotta be the biggest load of horse crap I've heard in my life.

403. Go crawl back in your hole, McGill, or Goodman,

404. or whatever you're calling yourself. What are you up to, anyway?

405. Ginning up another one of your put-up job lawsuits,

406. you two-faced, blackmailing,

407. - money-grubbing son of a bitch... - "Money-grubbing"?

408. You're saying the quiet part out loud.

409. Gentlemen, can we just keep the volume down?

410. - You know that's not what I meant. - In this day and age,

411. I had hoped and prayed we'd be beyond this.

412. You're as Jewish as my Aunt Fannie...

413. Five thousand years and it never ends.

414. Here it is. Violence. It always comes to this.

415. Mr. Wachtell, please.

416. Come on, Kev.

417. Go to hell, you lying sack of shit.

418. Sir.

419. Mr. Goodman, I don't know what to say. That is not...

420. I wouldn't be a member here.

421. I wouldn't walk through those doors again after what happened to me here today.

422. Do you...

423. at least have a bathroom that I could use?

424. Seeing as how my...

425. Stress like that is hell on my diverticulitis.

426. The men's locker room is the closest. It's straight through there.

427. - And I would be allowed to go in there? - Yes. Of course.

428. I want you to know I don't blame you personally.

429. I know you were just following orders.

430. It's okay, folks.

431. I'm leaving. All is well.

432. - Good morning, sir. - Morning.

433. Shit, shit, shit.

434. I swear it's nothing I did, but one of your toilets is...

435. - I'll take care of it, sir. - Okay. It's the middle one.

436. - You can't miss it. - Yeah. No... No problem, sir.

437. Two-two-seven.

438. Two-two-seven.

439. - Went better than last time. - Keep your head down, you'll get better.

440. Anyway, on the topic of your hiring binge...

441. Hardly a binge.

442. What would you call it?

443. I'd call it "prudent expansion."

444. We're not headhunting any of your associates,

445. if that's what you're worried about.

446. - Need a towel? - Sure.

447. - Hey. - Hey.

448. Listen, on the QT, I'd be particularly careful

449. with any lateral hires.

450. You're talking about what's his name, the guy from Tennessee?

451. - You hear something? - Nothing I'd care to repeat.

452. Just "trust, but verify."

453. Fair enough.

454. - Howard. - What?

455. This can't be...

456. Sure looks like it.

457. Really?

458. Not the first time I've seen one of those, unfortunately.

459. But where did it come from?

460. Didn't it fall out of your locker?

461. I don't see how.

462. You don't think one of the members could have...

463. Maybe somebody on staff.

464. - Where were you? - I'll tell you later. Here they come.

465. Did they find it?

466. Yes.

467. What if they figure out it's baby powder?

468. They won't.

469. I think maybe we outsmarted ourselves.

470. Maybe this was all too subtle.

471. Nope. Not too subtle.

472. Perfect.

473. Andale. Chop chop. We don't got all day, folks.

474. When do we leave?

475. We go when we go.

476. I'm gonna need a minute.

477. Nobody's waiting for you, big stuff.

478. What? Be nice.

479. Hello, Casa Tranquila.

480. Sorry. Let me get someone who speaks Spanish.

481. Oh, no, no. No problem.

482. I would just like to speak to one of your residents, if I may.

483. Hector, are you awake?

484. You have another telephone call.

485. Uncle? Can you hear me?

486. Do you know my voice?

487. They told you about the attack, didn't they?

488. Let them keep believing I'm dead. So much the better.

489. It was the chicken man.

490. That coward sat up there in the north

491. while his paramilitaries came into my home...

492. My home, Uncle!

493. Screw Bolsa, screw Eladio.

494. I'm coming north.

495. I'm going to hurt him. Hurt him like you taught me.

496. And then I will kill him.

497. - What is it? - Hector?

498. Excuse me. I'm so sorry, but Hector seems a little upset.

499. Yeah. Sorry. I'm just sharing a bit of family news.

500. Some good, some bad.

501. Would you mind putting him back on? It'll only be a minute.

502. Of course.

503. Uncle?

504. What is it? Do you have another idea?

505. Okay. Let's see.

506. A, B, C, D,

507. E, F, G, H,

508. I, J, K, L,

509. M, N, Ñ, O, P...

510. P? That's right?
