1. Where is this place?Copy !req
2. Where am I?Copy !req
3. Phone?Copy !req
4. Who brought me here?Copy !req
5. Did Fring do this?Copy !req
6. Gustavo Fring?Copy !req
7. Look what you've done
to all my fine work.Copy !req
8. What am I doing here?Copy !req
9. You were meant
to be recovering.Copy !req
10. What's he want
with me?Copy !req
11. He's asked me
to keep you alive.Copy !req
12. Will you allow this?Copy !req
13. Okay, listen up.Copy !req
14. If Acker doesn't leave
on his own by quarter after,Copy !req
15. the sheriff's gonna evict.Copy !req
16. Once that's done,
utilities will dropCopy !req
17. and cut their lines while
we take down the north fence.Copy !req
18. Uh, anything inside the placeCopy !req
19. gets loaded up
and sent to storage.Copy !req
20. Debris goes in
the side dumpster.Copy !req
21. Concrete's stayin'.Copy !req
22. Uh, disposal company's
coming for it.Copy !req
23. We good so far?
Mm-hmm.Copy !req
24. I-I think I might be
seeing a hitch here.Copy !req
25. Wait. Who are you?Copy !req
26. I'm Saul Goodman,
attorney at law.Copy !req
27. Glad to meet you.Copy !req
28. A better question might be,
"Where are we?"Copy !req
29. (CHUCKLES) What's that
supposed to mean?Copy !req
30. Well, you know what?
(SIGHS)Copy !req
31. It's coming up on the hour,
so word to the wise,Copy !req
32. if you let everyone go
right now,Copy !req
33. you might save
half a day's salary
and fringes.Copy !req
34. What the hell
are you talking about?Copy !req
35. Deputies!Copy !req
36. Great.
Perfect timing.Copy !req
37. What's going on?
He's a lawyer.Copy !req
38. Says there's a hitch.Copy !req
39. I'm Everett Acker's
attorney.Copy !req
40. I'm just dottin' the "I's"
in due diligence.Copy !req
41. Well, I'm sorry, sir.Copy !req
42. Eviction order's
signed by a judge.Copy !req
43. I'm sure it is.Copy !req
44. Uh, can I have a peek
at that?Copy !req
45. It's all correct,
sir.Copy !req
46. Uh-huh.Copy !req
47. Sir, since you represent
Mr. Acker,Copy !req
48. can you make sure
he cooperates
with the eviction?Copy !req
49. W... Can you make out
the address on that?Copy !req
50. 1130 Arroyo Vista.
There a problem?Copy !req
51. Well, I mean,
is that where we are?Copy !req
52. There were house numbers
on that mailbox,Copy !req
53. plain as day, 1130.Copy !req
54. I don't see any.Copy !req
55. Do you, deputy?
No, I don't.Copy !req
56. Well, somebody
messed with them.Copy !req
57. This is
1130 Arroyo Vista.Copy !req
58. This here's
1240 Arroyo Vista.Copy !req
59. It's always been
1240 Arroyo Vista.Copy !req
60. 1240?Copy !req
61. 1240!Copy !req
62. My client says
it's 1240.Copy !req
63. I got a plat map says
we can straighten
this out right now.Copy !req
64. Well, all due respect
to whoever drew that map,Copy !req
65. but Mr. Acker's
been living here
for 30 years.Copy !req
66. I think he knows
his own address.Copy !req
67. Sir, you got something
with an address on it?Copy !req
68. Thank you.Copy !req
69. 1240 Arroyo Vista.Copy !req
70. It's 1130.Copy !req
71. Anybody can print out
something like that.Copy !req
72. You've got an order
signed by a judge.Copy !req
73. Y'know,
we could get a surveyor
up here this afternoon.Copy !req
74. He'll clear everything up.Copy !req
75. That'd lose us
a full day.Copy !req
76. Listen, officer,
before you go forcing
an elderly veteranCopy !req
77. from his home
and take everything
he's got,Copy !req
78. demolish a half-century
of hard work,Copy !req
79. wouldn't you like to know
you got the right place?Copy !req
80. Come on.Copy !req
81. All we're talking about are
some missing house numbers.Copy !req
82. I have to make
a call.Copy !req
83. Everybody take 10!Copy !req
84. After a year
of running
every which way,Copy !req
85. now the guy
gets a lawyer?Copy !req
86. The lawyer comes in,
the crazy comes out.Copy !req
87. We had it straightened out
in a matter of hours.Copy !req
88. It was a gimmick,Copy !req
89. and not a particularly
effective one.Copy !req
90. It's costing us a day.Copy !req
91. I call that
plenty effective.Copy !req
92. But we're past that.Copy !req
93. Tomorrow they're finally
tearing the place down, right?Copy !req
94. That's the plan.Copy !req
95. There's more?Copy !req
96. Unfortunately,
there is another complication.Copy !req
97. The lawyer Acker hired,
it's Jimmy.Copy !req
98. Jimmy.Copy !req
99. Your Jimmy?
Yes.Copy !req
100. (SCOFFS) You're...
How did that happen?Copy !req
101. Jimmy's been doing some
very aggressive marketing.Copy !req
102. Looks like Acker
picked up on it.Copy !req
103. Okay. So what now?Copy !req
104. In fairness to you,
I'll withdrawCopy !req
105. from everything having to do
with the Tucumcari project.Copy !req
106. Stef will step in
for me.Copy !req
107. She and Paige
can see it through.Copy !req
108. Kim's
brought us this far.Copy !req
109. I think Stef will do
a fine job for us.Copy !req
110. Of course, this is just
Tucumcari we're talking about.Copy !req
111. I'll continue to handle
everything else as usual.Copy !req
112. You know what?Copy !req
113. I smell a rat.Copy !req
114. Acker hiring Jimmy,
that's no coincidence.Copy !req
115. And I heard
about the talking-to
you gave that guy.Copy !req
116. Sounds like
you tore him
a new one.Copy !req
117. I-I wouldn't say
that I...Copy !req
118. Here's what I think.Copy !req
119. This fella saw you
for the killer you are,Copy !req
120. and he went
and hired JimmyCopy !req
121. specifically to take you
away from us.Copy !req
122. Kevin...Copy !req
123. I have to say,
I think that's
very unlikely.Copy !req
124. Trust me on this,
Kim.Copy !req
125. I know a scam
when I see one, okay?Copy !req
126. No disrespect.Copy !req
127. I'm sure your associate's
more than capable,Copy !req
128. but I am not gonna
let this guy deprive meCopy !req
129. of the best
in the business.Copy !req
130. I-I think
what Kim's trying to sayCopy !req
131. is that going home
to the attorneyCopy !req
132. on the other side
of this matterCopy !req
133. could get...
Awkward for her.Copy !req
134. Is that right, Kim?Copy !req
135. This gonna be tough
on you at home?Copy !req
136. It's not the personal side
that concerns me.Copy !req
137. I just wouldn't
want there to beCopy !req
138. any question
of conflict of interest.Copy !req
139. Well, I'm not worried
about that.Copy !req
140. If you're willing
to stick with it,Copy !req
141. I say
why change horses midstream?Copy !req
142. Kevin, are they
waiting for you?Copy !req
143. Oh, yeah.
Listen.Copy !req
144. I need
that call center.Copy !req
145. We gotta get
this thing movin' now.Copy !req
146. We got a lot
of competitors
out there,Copy !req
147. and none of them
are waiting on some
crabby ol' son of a bitchCopy !req
148. to get their damn
call centers built.Copy !req
149. Got it?Copy !req
150. Got it.Copy !req
151. I know you do.Copy !req
152. That an MRI machine
I saw back there?Copy !req
153. It is.Copy !req
154. Ah.Copy !req
155. And Fring
paid for all this.Copy !req
156. Huh.Copy !req
157. And all those
nice little houses
out there.Copy !req
158. I'm guessing there are
bales of meth inside.Copy !req
159. There are
no drugs here.Copy !req
160. None save the ones
that I prescribe.Copy !req
161. No men with guns,
either.Copy !req
162. And if I want to get back
to where I belong?Copy !req
163. Mm. You're welcome
to leave.Copy !req
164. You would
go back to the road
where I found you.Copy !req
165. Five kilometers
from here,Copy !req
166. there's a gate that leads
to the main road.Copy !req
167. There are men
at that gate.Copy !req
168. Those men have guns,
I'm guessing.Copy !req
169. Perhaps.Copy !req
170. I've never seen
any weapons.Copy !req
171. In any case,
they will not stop you.Copy !req
172. Twelve kilometers
up the highway,
there is a small town,Copy !req
173. bigger than this place,
but small.Copy !req
174. There is a bus stop.Copy !req
175. Once you're on
that bus,Copy !req
176. you're perhaps a day
from El Paso.Copy !req
177. However,
as you are now,Copy !req
178. you would not survive
the journey.Copy !req
179. My advice is to rest.Copy !req
180. Enjoy some of
Senora Cortazar's
excellent cookingCopy !req
181. and take in
some clean air.Copy !req
182. Fring carts me
all the way down here.Copy !req
183. Why?Copy !req
184. That I do not know.Copy !req
185. You would have to
ask him.Copy !req
186. So you're just
his on-call quack?Copy !req
187. I am the quack
who saved your life.Copy !req
188. This is
for infection.Copy !req
189. Two every four hours
for the next week.Copy !req
190. This is
for the pain.Copy !req
191. Take it
when you need it.Copy !req
192. I'll be back to check on you
in three days.Copy !req
193. Then, in a week or so,Copy !req
194. perhaps you will be able
to travel.Copy !req
195. I can, uh, get a message
to your family.Copy !req
196. They're fine.Copy !req
197. Buenas tardes.Copy !req
198. Hello, Howard.
Hi, Jimmy.Copy !req
199. This a bad time?Copy !req
200. Um, I'm... I'm...
I'm, uh, a bit busy,Copy !req
201. uh, to be honest, but, uh...
What's up?Copy !req
202. Just thinking about you.Copy !req
203. How you doin'?Copy !req
204. Fine.
Mm.Copy !req
205. Glad to hear it.Copy !req
206. (SIGHS) What's up?Copy !req
207. Just touching base to see
if you've had any thoughtsCopy !req
208. on what
we talked about.Copy !req
209. What we talked about...Copy !req
210. Oh, the job! Oh!Copy !req
211. Oh, yeah. No.Copy !req
212. I mean, hey,
I've been thinking
of nothing else, really.Copy !req
213. Glad to hear it.
Any conclusions?Copy !req
214. Uh, no, I'm just...Copy !req
215. I'm mulling it over,
you know, reflecting.Copy !req
216. I'm trying to give it
the consideration
that it deserves.Copy !req
217. Fair enough.Copy !req
218. I'm ready to
discuss the details
when you are.Copy !req
219. Sounds good.Copy !req
220. And Jimmy...
(CELL PHONE CLOSES, CLATTERS)Copy !req
221. (DOOR OPENS, CLOSES)
Hey.Copy !req
222. Smells interesting.Copy !req
223. Oh, yeah, that's, uh...
That's the curry.Copy !req
224. I think
it's our unlikely hero.Copy !req
225. I'm gonna have to
soak it overnight,Copy !req
226. but it'll be ready
first thing.Copy !req
227. So, how'd it go
with Kevin?Copy !req
228. Well, I'm still
on the case.Copy !req
229. No shit.Copy !req
230. That's great!
What happened?Copy !req
231. Uh, you know,
the more I wanted to go,Copy !req
232. the more
he wanted me to stay.Copy !req
233. Yeah, but he was
pissed, right?Copy !req
234. A little bit.Copy !req
235. Right.
So, where were you?Copy !req
236. Uh, we were at
his country club.Copy !req
237. Ooh!Copy !req
238. Cuttin' it close
to tee time.Copy !req
239. Pressure.
That's excellent.Copy !req
240. He had to move
his game, actually.Copy !req
241. (LAUGHS)
I love it.Copy !req
242. Right. Now what?Copy !req
243. Uh, you're sitting?Copy !req
244. You were standing?
I mean...Copy !req
245. Hmm?
Paint a picture.
Set the scene.Copy !req
246. Come on.Copy !req
247. (LAUGHS) Uh...Copy !req
248. Okay, um...Copy !req
249. Paige and I meet him
outside the clubhouse.Copy !req
250. Mm-hmm.Copy !req
251. And the three of us
are at a table,Copy !req
252. and he's over here
like this. And he says...Copy !req
253. Wait. He sits like that?Copy !req
254. Yeah, he...
He sits to the side.Copy !req
255. He's a side sitter?Copy !req
256. I guess so.
Okay.Copy !req
257. Well, you never told me
that he was a side sitter.Copy !req
258. And that is gold.Copy !req
259. Now, go... Go on.
(SNIFFLES)Copy !req
260. Okay, s-so,
he's sitting here,
and he says, um,Copy !req
261. "I'm not gonna
let him deprive..."Copy !req
262. Wait. Do the voice.Copy !req
263. I'm not
gonna imitate him.Copy !req
264. Yes. Come on.
Give me a nibble.Copy !req
265. I mean, he's a good
old boy, right?Copy !req
266. (SOUTHERN ACCENT)
So, do he talk like this?Copy !req
267. Uh, no, no.Copy !req
268. "Ding dang do"?Copy !req
269. It's, uh...
It's more like, um...Copy !req
270. (AS KEVIN) Lawyer comes in,
crazy comes out.Copy !req
271. I need that call center
real bad.Copy !req
272. (AS KIM)
Of course, Kevin.Copy !req
273. (NORMAL VOICE)
Wait. Are you being me?Copy !req
274. Yes, this is you.Copy !req
275. Yes. Go on. Go on.Copy !req
276. (AS KEVIN) Uh, okay.
I'm not gonna
let him deprive me.Copy !req
277. No, sirree. Kim.Copy !req
278. Hmm?Copy !req
279. I need it sooner
than yesterday.
Got it?Copy !req
280. But, Kevin...
No.Copy !req
281. You do
whatever it takes!Copy !req
282. I don't like waitin'
one bit,Copy !req
283. never have,
never will.Copy !req
284. Bottom line,
breakin' ground,
more statues.Copy !req
285. Kim, you get him now,
blah, blah, blah, blah!Copy !req
286. Blah, blah, blah,
blah, blah, blah,
blah, blah, blah.Copy !req
287. (NORMAL VOICE) What?Copy !req
288. Kevin...Copy !req
289. (AS KEVIN) Yes, Kim?Copy !req
290. Would you care
to take a shower with me?Copy !req
291. Well, shoot.Copy !req
292. I believe I would.Copy !req
293. Gracias.Copy !req
294. Hello?Copy !req
295. You know who this is?Copy !req
296. How are you feeling?Copy !req
297. Better, I trust?Copy !req
298. Uh-huh.Copy !req
299. You don't do anything
without a reason.Copy !req
300. Why am I here?Copy !req
301. Now is not
a good time.Copy !req
302. What's going on here?Copy !req
303. Sir, sir,
please watch your step.Copy !req
304. Stop right there!Copy !req
305. What the hell?Copy !req
306. Please stay
out of the grid.Copy !req
307. The what?Copy !req
308. The area
marked by the stakes.Copy !req
309. Step out of it,
please.Copy !req
310. So, what about it,
doctor?Copy !req
311. Well, at a glance,Copy !req
312. I'd say these pieces
are likely contemporary.Copy !req
313. I'll bet they are.Copy !req
314. But we need to do
a systematic
property searchCopy !req
315. to be sure.
Really?Copy !req
316. Is that necessary?
I'm afraid so.Copy !req
317. Whoa, whoa, whoa.Copy !req
318. H-How long
is this gonna take?Copy !req
319. A day or two,
a week at the most.Copy !req
320. A week? (SCOFFS)Copy !req
321. Come on!Copy !req
322. You know this guy
planted that stuff here.Copy !req
323. Whoa!
This is the same thing
with the house numbersCopy !req
324. all over again!
Now, that was
an honest mistake.Copy !req
325. This is the law.
Says who?Copy !req
326. Says the New Mexico
Cultural Properties Act.Copy !req
327. No.Copy !req
328. You're not
going along with this?Copy !req
329. Seriously?Copy !req
330. I have to
make a call.Copy !req
331. Sorry to interrupt.Copy !req
332. He's suing on behalf
of the water district.Copy !req
333. The water district?Copy !req
334. Stef, you're good
with regulatory law.Copy !req
335. He's claiming
there's a flawCopy !req
336. in the original
land grant
from 1846.Copy !req
337. That's ridiculous.Copy !req
338. I... (SIGHS)Copy !req
339. Pat, you'd better drop
everything else.Copy !req
340. He's claiming our prime
contractor's an escaped felon.Copy !req
341. You can't be serious.Copy !req
342. Evan, I'm gonna give
this one to you.Copy !req
343. to invalidate
the grant based on
what is essentially...Copy !req
344. I can see
the Little Dipper.Copy !req
345. That's the Big Dipper.Copy !req
346. Yeah. (CHUCKLES)Copy !req
347. Ah.Copy !req
348. Right over here.Copy !req
349. Is that, uh,
Orion over there?Copy !req
350. No. That's a satellite.Copy !req
351. Officer,
radiation's borderline.Copy !req
352. We got to get
soil samples.Copy !req
353. Do I have to ask?Copy !req
354. I'm gonna have to, uh...
You know.Copy !req
355. Better safe than sorry.Copy !req
356. Yes.Copy !req
357. We have a problem.Copy !req
358. I've always enjoyed
your radio program,Copy !req
359. and I never thought
I'd see a miracle
with my very own eyes.Copy !req
360. That's right...
Tucumcari, right off 54.Copy !req
361. There's plenty of parking.Copy !req
362. (CHUCKLING)
Well, thank you!Copy !req
363. I'm a long-time listener
and a first-time caller.Copy !req
364. Oh, I see...Copy !req
365. Hello, ma'am.Copy !req
366. Oh, wow.
(CAMERA BEEPS)Copy !req
367. Uh-huh.Copy !req
368. What's your name, honey?Copy !req
369. God damn it.Copy !req
370. The crowd's
already thinning out.Copy !req
371. Apparently, the image
on the side of the house
has started to fade.Copy !req
372. Tomorrow we're bringing in
additional securityCopy !req
373. and blocking off parking.Copy !req
374. Answer me this,Copy !req
375. if they're saying
it's radioactive over there,Copy !req
376. how the hell is Acker
still in that house?Copy !req
377. That was really more of
an OSHA situation.Copy !req
378. The concern was for
the construction crew.Copy !req
379. Turns out
the radiation level
was completely safe.Copy !req
380. We should be cleared
to resume construction
on Thursday.Copy !req
381. Assuming nothing else
comes up.Copy !req
382. Kim, (CLEARS THROAT)
bottom line me here.Copy !req
383. Clearly, this is all designed
to force us back to the tableCopy !req
384. and put us at a disadvantage
when we get there.Copy !req
385. (SCOFFS) We've gotta
get back in the driver's seat
on this thing.Copy !req
386. I say we sue 'em right back.Copy !req
387. Sue Acker.
Sue Goodman.Copy !req
388. Take the fight
back to 'em.Copy !req
389. Going down that road
could take years.Copy !req
390. They know this is costing
Mesa Verde.Copy !req
391. Time is
on their side.Copy !req
392. (SCOFFS)
You got that right.Copy !req
393. Rich, do you have
anything to add?Copy !req
394. Possibly.Copy !req
395. What if there were
a way to turn this
around on them?Copy !req
396. What if you don't build
the call center?Copy !req
397. Or not at that location,
at least.Copy !req
398. Suddenly you're holding
all the cards.Copy !req
399. There's nothing to delay.Copy !req
400. The other side's
the one spending moneyCopy !req
401. with no hope of recovering
their expenses.Copy !req
402. Wait. So...Copy !req
403. (SIGHS) What?Copy !req
404. I understand there's a viable
alternative site.Copy !req
405. You make the switch,
and you've won.Copy !req
406. (SIGHS) Wait. Hold up.Copy !req
407. Didn't we let
the other site go?Copy !req
408. Lot 2375 is available,Copy !req
409. and our permits
still apply.Copy !req
410. We'd still
hit our targetCopy !req
411. for getting the call center
up and running.Copy !req
412. We took the liberty
of running the numbers
for you.Copy !req
413. The financial hit
would be negligible.Copy !req
414. My dad did not raise me
to run from a fight.Copy !req
415. Kevin, we're not saying...Copy !req
416. I'm not gonna roll over
and let some low-life shysterCopy !req
417. bully me off my land.Copy !req
418. No offense, Kim.Copy !req
419. He's got one lawyer.Copy !req
420. I got a room
fulla the best there is.Copy !req
421. Here's what
we're gonna do.Copy !req
422. You're gonna figure out a way
to get them off my property.Copy !req
423. That call center's not movin'
one goddamn inch!Copy !req
424. You gave it
your best shot.Copy !req
425. Yeah?
(CHUCKLING) Yeah.Copy !req
426. You went the distance
for the old S.O.B.,Copy !req
427. above and beyond.Copy !req
428. You should feel good
about that.Copy !req
429. You think so?Copy !req
430. You gave Acker
more than he deserved.Copy !req
431. And, uh,
let's be real.Copy !req
432. Putting me on this,
that was bad.Copy !req
433. I mean,
if anyone found out...Copy !req
434. You risked a lot
for this guy.Copy !req
435. (SIGHS) Look,
this time next week,Copy !req
436. Acker will be living
somewhere else.Copy !req
437. Is that really
such a big deal?Copy !req
438. Plus, Mesa Verde,Copy !req
439. that's your
bread and butter.Copy !req
440. You can only
push 'em so far.Copy !req
441. There's always
another play.Copy !req
442. But the rational thing
to do here is close the deal,Copy !req
443. get the guy
a few bucks,Copy !req
444. pop the champagne
with the other winners,Copy !req
445. and smile
like you mean it.Copy !req
446. You want a beer?
I'm gonna get one.Copy !req
447. Or?Copy !req
448. Jimmy.Copy !req
449. There's no reason
on God's green EarthCopy !req
450. to take this
any further.Copy !req
451. It's not worth it.Copy !req
452. Or?Copy !req
453. Or...Copy !req
454. We go after
Kevin Wachtell.Copy !req
455. It gets nasty.
It gets personal.Copy !req
456. It gets dangerous.Copy !req
457. Okay.Copy !req
458. Okay.Copy !req
459. Yeah?Copy !req
460. Hey. It's me.Copy !req
461. Yes, it is.
Great.Copy !req
462. Uh, listen,
I got something for you.Copy !req
463. Hear me out because
this is a good thing.Copy !req
464. Um, I'm sorry.Copy !req
465. I'm ge...
I'm getting some kind
of reverb or something.Copy !req
466. Are you
in a tunnel or...Copy !req
467. Yes.Copy !req
468. What's that?Copy !req
469. Yes, I'm in a tunnel.Copy !req
470. Okay.Copy !req
471. Um, (CHUCKLES)
anyway, uh,Copy !req
472. this is not like
that other thing, okay?Copy !req
473. Um, straight piece
of oppo research.Copy !req
474. This is a lawyer
hirin' a P.I.Copy !req
475. What do you say?Copy !req
476. So you're back
to being a lawyer?Copy !req
477. Yeah. Yeah.
Totally legit.Copy !req
478. So, uh, did I mention
it's a paying gig?Copy !req
479. I'm not available.Copy !req
480. Say again?Copy !req
481. No.Copy !req
482. (GROANS) Senora.Copy !req
483. Ta bien?Copy !req
484. Uh, good. Good.Copy !req
485. Uh, muy bueno.Copy !req
486. Thank you.Copy !req
487. Aw, man.Copy !req
488. Uh, it's okay.Copy !req
489. I'm fine.Copy !req
490. Thank you.Copy !req
491. You got
this guy where?Copy !req
492. Same place as Huell.Copy !req
493. So, it's like some kind of
underground Craigslist?Copy !req
494. It's just a guy
who knows people.Copy !req
495. People of
a certain type.Copy !req
496. He's very discreet.Copy !req
497. Well,
he'd have to be.Copy !req
498. Uh, here goes.
Um, it'll be fine.Copy !req
499. Just watch.Copy !req
500. I thought I was
going to a law office.Copy !req
501. Yeah,
this is a law office.Copy !req
502. Gotcha.Copy !req
503. Giselle, um,
this is Mister X.Copy !req
504. It's my work name.Copy !req
505. Ah.Copy !req
506. Mm.Copy !req
507. You know, those things
are full of parasites.Copy !req
508. Uh, yeah, duly noted.Copy !req
509. Uh, the conference room
is in back.Copy !req
510. Ah. Yeah. Yeah.Copy !req
511. I did the full work-up,
as tasked.Copy !req
512. And?Copy !req
513. Snake eyes.
Bupkis. Nada.Copy !req
514. Guy's squeaky clean.Copy !req
515. That's impossible.Copy !req
516. I mean, everybody's
got something.Copy !req
517. Not this time.Copy !req
518. You got an Eagle Scout
with a six-figure income.Copy !req
519. Arrests?
Mm.Copy !req
520. D.U.I...Copy !req
521. In college.Copy !req
522. Homecoming weekend,
34 years ago.Copy !req
523. Is that
what you're looking for?Copy !req
524. Girlfriends?
Offshore accounts?Copy !req
525. No secret
bank accounts,
no extra phones,Copy !req
526. no lunchtime quickies,Copy !req
527. no lady friend,
no boy toy.Copy !req
528. The guy's dull,Copy !req
529. like "Saturday night
in Salt Lake City" dull.Copy !req
530. No offense,
but your work is sounding
kind of superficial.Copy !req
531. "Superficial"?Copy !req
532. Yeah.Copy !req
533. Wow.Copy !req
534. Yeah, not hardly.Copy !req
535. I went the distance.Copy !req
536. I did a self-guided tour
of his domicile,Copy !req
537. all seven bedrooms,
four and a half baths...Copy !req
538. Hold on.Copy !req
539. You're saying
you broke into his house?Copy !req
540. Giselle, um,
this is probablyCopy !req
541. one of those
tricks-of-the-trade things.Copy !req
542. Why don't we just
focus on the "what"Copy !req
543. and skip over
the "how."Copy !req
544. I'd like to know.Copy !req
545. He has a security systemCopy !req
546. with a touchy
upstairs window sensor.Copy !req
547. I trip it a couple times
with an airsoft.Copy !req
548. A B.B. gun.Copy !req
549. The alarm drives
the housekeeper crazy,Copy !req
550. so I show up in coveralls,
toolbox, alarm company I.D.,Copy !req
551. and she's more than happyCopy !req
552. to let me have
the run of the place.Copy !req
553. Does that meet
with your approval?Copy !req
554. All right, so you get in,
and you find what?Copy !req
555. Like I said,
nothing.Copy !req
556. No, there's no such thing
as nothing.Copy !req
557. Okay? Uh...
We want specifics.Copy !req
558. You want specifics?Copy !req
559. Okay, well,
I got specifics.Copy !req
560. That's the home office.Copy !req
561. I spent an extra four minutes
opening the floor safe,Copy !req
562. nothing but
life-insurance policies,Copy !req
563. a couple of rings,
and a commemorative
half-dollar.Copy !req
564. The guy's old-school.Copy !req
565. No computers,
motel art on the walls,Copy !req
566. paperwork on his desk.Copy !req
567. What kind of paperwork?Copy !req
568. You knock yourself out.Copy !req
569. Now, I may not be
a nail-salon lawyer,Copy !req
570. but I know legit
when I see it.Copy !req
571. So, you gonna withdraw
the "superficial" now, hmm?Copy !req
572. You think you could get into
his downtown office?Copy !req
573. Sure. I could.Copy !req
574. But there's
a better way.Copy !req
575. Yeah?Copy !req
576. Yeah. (CHUCKLES)Copy !req
577. I get two more guys,Copy !req
578. guys who know how
to handle themselves.Copy !req
579. Now, we roll up to the subject
in an unmarked van.Copy !req
580. We grab him,
put him in a bag,Copy !req
581. and we take him out
to the desert.Copy !req
582. Yeah, we're done here.
We're done.Copy !req
583. Now, by the end of the day,
the banker's giving youCopy !req
584. everything you're after,
all right?Copy !req
585. No, we're done here.
No, no, no, l-l-look,Copy !req
586. you get keys
to the kingdom,
guaranteed.Copy !req
587. Okay, Sergeant Slaughter,Copy !req
588. back to the
paintball field,
okay?Copy !req
589. The grownups
need to talk.
Let's go.Copy !req
590. All right, that's fine.Copy !req
591. I am just
providing options
for you here.Copy !req
592. All right,
this is the way out.
Okay?Copy !req
593. Exit through
the gift shop.
All right.Copy !req
594. Don't touch anything,
please.
I will not.Copy !req
595. Let me say
on this one...Copy !req
596. I don't know
what to say.Copy !req
597. I'm gonna complain
to management
about that clown.Copy !req
598. My usual guy
is very reliable.Copy !req
599. What? What is it?Copy !req
600. Got a minute?Copy !req
601. Sure.Copy !req
602. How's everything?Copy !req
603. All good.
Kinda crunched.Copy !req
604. Still dealing with
the Tucumcari situation.Copy !req
605. Mm-hmm.
And the pro bono work?Copy !req
606. It's good.Copy !req
607. Something up?Copy !req
608. Listen.Copy !req
609. I'm thinking you could
take a break from Mesa Verde.Copy !req
610. A "break"?Copy !req
611. Actually, a pair
of mineral-rights beefs
just came in.Copy !req
612. They practically
have your name on them.Copy !req
613. You can split your time
between thatCopy !req
614. and your
pro bono clients.Copy !req
615. Mesa Verde is my client.Copy !req
616. And they still will be.Copy !req
617. I'll just step in
and take point,Copy !req
618. just on
a temporary basis.Copy !req
619. And, of course,
it goes without sayingCopy !req
620. this won't affect
any of your compensation.Copy !req
621. And that includes
your bonus.Copy !req
622. You know Mesa Verde
is fully informedCopy !req
623. of any
potential conflicts.Copy !req
624. Kevin signed off himself.Copy !req
625. Still, I think you're going
to need to take a break.Copy !req
626. I don't understand
where this is coming from.Copy !req
627. Don't you?Copy !req
628. Kim...Copy !req
629. Sometimes the less said,
the better.Copy !req
630. And why is that?Copy !req
631. Do we have to?Copy !req
632. Yes, we do.Copy !req
633. All right.Copy !req
634. First I had to
twist your armCopy !req
635. to get you down to Tucumcari
for the eviction.Copy !req
636. Then you put
the full-court press on Kevin
to change sites.Copy !req
637. That doesn't work,
and, abracadabra,Copy !req
638. your boyfriend's
opposing counsel.Copy !req
639. I told you,Copy !req
640. I explained the situation
to Kevin and Paige.Copy !req
641. Yeah.
I know you did.Copy !req
642. And, I'm sorry to say,
I'm just not buying it.Copy !req
643. Rich? Rich!Copy !req
644. Hold on!Copy !req
645. What are you
saying exactly?Copy !req
646. Let's talk
in my office.Copy !req
647. You are accusing me
of something.Copy !req
648. Go ahead and say it.Copy !req
649. Are you talking
about malfeasance?Copy !req
650. Working against
my client's interests?
What?Copy !req
651. Please...
Rich, tell me.Copy !req
652. You know
I worked my ass off
to get here.Copy !req
653. You know that.
Yes, I do know.Copy !req
654. So tell me.Copy !req
655. Please tell meCopy !req
656. why I would risk everything
for some squatter.Copy !req
657. Why?
I don't understand.Copy !req
658. Are you... Are you
trying to protect
the firm? From what?Copy !req
659. Kim, I am not trying
to protect the firm.Copy !req
660. I am trying
to protect you.Copy !req
661. I don't need
your protection.Copy !req
662. I need
to represent my client.Copy !req
663. If that's
how you want it.Copy !req
664. Esta seguro de que
no gusta quedarse a cenar?Copy !req
665. Desafortunadamente,
no puedo.Copy !req
666. Me da mucha lastima tener que
perderme de su comida.Copy !req
667. Como estan sus hijos?
Oh!Copy !req
668. Pedro se acaba de casar,
y creo que pronto sere abuela.Copy !req
669. No me diga.
Que increible!Copy !req
670. So, what do you want
from me?Copy !req
671. I think it best
that Senora Cortazar doesn't
know about our association.Copy !req
672. I like to keep my business
as far from here as possible.Copy !req
673. You look much better.Copy !req
674. I am glad.Copy !req
675. So I'm here to see
what a big heart you have.Copy !req
676. Is that the idea?Copy !req
677. You throw money
at these people,
they bow low?Copy !req
678. As far as the people here
are concerned,Copy !req
679. I am the doctor's friend,
nothing more.Copy !req
680. They have no idea
you financed
the whole place.Copy !req
681. I prefer it
that way.Copy !req
682. The "anonymous benefactor."Copy !req
683. Well, that must
make you feel pretty good.Copy !req
684. And is that supposed to
balance the scales,Copy !req
685. make up
for everything
else you do?Copy !req
686. It makes up for nothing.Copy !req
687. I am what I am.Copy !req
688. What is this place?Copy !req
689. Call it a memorial.Copy !req
690. To what?Copy !req
691. I already told you
what you can do
with your money.Copy !req
692. You seem like a guy
who can take a hint.Copy !req
693. So what are we doing?Copy !req
694. It seems to me
that you are
at a crossroads.Copy !req
695. You can continue
as you are,Copy !req
696. drinking,Copy !req
697. estranged from
your family,Copy !req
698. brawling with street hoods.Copy !req
699. We both know
how that ends.Copy !req
700. Yeah.Copy !req
701. You have
another choice.Copy !req
702. Mm.Copy !req
703. Work for you
as a button man.Copy !req
704. I'm in a war.Copy !req
705. I need a soldier.Copy !req
706. Mm.Copy !req
707. So, I'm gonna work
for one drug dealerCopy !req
708. killing
other drug dealers?Copy !req
709. That's your idea
of a choice.Copy !req
710. You know better.Copy !req
711. You have met them.Copy !req
712. You know what they are.Copy !req
713. Meaning the Salamancas.Copy !req
714. And you
are so very different
from them?Copy !req
715. Yes.Copy !req
716. I am different.Copy !req
717. Huh.Copy !req
718. Why me?Copy !req
719. Because I believe
that you understand.Copy !req
720. Understand what?Copy !req
721. Revenge.Copy !req
