unforeseen circumstances,Copy !req
39. I'm not gonna be a lawyer

for four hours.Copy !req
51. You were
on your phone.Copy !req
52. You knew the rules
when you signed up.Copy !req
53. But I collected more garbage
than anybody out here.Copy !req
54. I have to be able
to conduct businessCopy !req
55. to earn a living.Copy !req
56. No.Copy !req
57. What do you mean "no"?Copy !req
58. Think of community service
as your jail time.Copy !req
59. No phones allowed
in jail.Copy !req
60. W-w-well,
hold on there, buddy.Copy !req
61. I mean, who do you think
you are, huh?Copy !req
62. Y-y-you think you can
treat us like this? Yeah?Copy !req
63. We're out here
for the goodCopy !req
64. of the great city
of Albuquerque — not for you.Copy !req
65. You're not our lord
and master.Copy !req
66. You don't get
to sit back and decideCopy !req
67. who's worthy
and who isn't.Copy !req
68. Am I right?Copy !req
69. Dude, are you gonna
get in the Van or what?Copy !req
70. C'mon. 30 minutes?
That stuff's not right.Copy !req
71. You can do
better than that.Copy !req
72. We could make it zero.Copy !req
73. Come on. Come on!Copy !req
74. Come on, baby! Ohh!Copy !req
75. Yes!Copy !req
76. so come on down

79. And... Cut.Copy !req
80. Great!
How was that?Copy !req
81. Good for camera.
Sound was good. Yep.Copy !req
82. Thank you.
That was great.
Hold up. Hold up.Copy !req
83. I wanna do
one more.Copy !req
84. Was that okay?Copy !req
85. It was great, uh,
but I just — I want —Copy !req
86. I want you to connect more
with the audience.Copy !req
87. Like you're talking
to a friend.Copy !req
88. Look into that lens
and see a friend.Copy !req
89. Can you do that?Copy !req
90. I mean, think of
a specific friend.Copy !req
91. Do you see him?
Yes.Copy !req
92. Okay. Who is he?Copy !req
93. My friend Ron.
Great.Copy !req
94. Look into that lens
and see Ron.Copy !req
95. And just two guys,
just chattin' about chairs.Copy !req
96. D-don't think about it.Copy !req
97. Just throw it away.Copy !req
98. Last looks.
Roll sound.Copy !req
99. Camera?

103. And you got
some very exciting newsCopy !req
104. about the reclinersCopy !req
105. that you've been dyin'
to share with him.Copy !req
106. And... Action.Copy !req
107. So come on down
to Duke city reclinersCopy !req
108. and put your feet up!Copy !req
109. Mention this ad and
get 10% off your first purchase.Copy !req
110. And... Cut!Copy !req
111. Great!
That's the one!Copy !req
112. Check the gate!
How did that feel?Copy !req
113. Good, I guess.
What — what did you think?Copy !req
114. Good!
So good!Copy !req
115. Just very, very...
Just great!Copy !req
116. It was very nice.Copy !req
117. Listen, you are on a roll,
my friend.Copy !req
118. I say we strike
while the iron is hot.Copy !req
119. Remember that other offer
we discussed?Copy !req
120. More commercials
at the discounted rate?Copy !req
121. Got my whole crew here.Copy !req
122. We could
bang out seven moreCopy !req
123. and give you a run that'll
make you a household name.Copy !req
124. Waddya say?
But, Mr. Goodman, I...Copy !req
125. Love the idea
of more commercials,Copy !req
126. but I just
can't swing it.Copy !req
127. My wife didn't want me
to do this one.Copy !req
128. You know what?Copy !req
129. They say you gotta spend money
to make money.Copy !req
130. And, uh...Copy !req
131. And I tell ya what —
you got a chance hereCopy !req
132. to potentially spike your sales
by hundreds —Copy !req
133. hell, thousands —
of new customersCopy !req
134. who'd never even heard
of Duke city recliners.Copy !req
135. What do ya say?Copy !req
136. Sure, s-sure.Copy !req
137. B-but —
but like I said,Copy !req
138. I only have enough
to pay for the one.Copy !req
139. Well, you know what?Copy !req
140. I like you,
and I wanna help.Copy !req
141. So I know we discussed
a discounted rateCopy !req
142. of $545 per commercial,Copy !req
143. but if you sign up right now
for our elite package —Copy !req
144. now,
that's seven commercials —Copy !req
145. I think we can do
the whole thing for...Copy !req
146. $500 per commercial.Copy !req
147. Now, that is $3,500,
all in.Copy !req
148. That is the bargain
of a lifetime.Copy !req
149. I don't know.Copy !req
150. Any chance you could do it
on credit?Copy !req
151. On credit?Copy !req
152. No. No.Copy !req
153. I can't.Copy !req
154. I'm sorry.Copy !req
155. Uh,
maybe another time.Copy !req
156. Uh, let me get your money
for this one.Copy !req
157. Uh, can we make this easier
and just split it four ways?Copy !req
158. "Split it four" —
I'll split you four ways.Copy !req
159. Don't they teach you capitalism
in that school of yours?Copy !req
160. I'm just sayin',
we got expenses, man.Copy !req
161. You — expen—
you don't have expenses!Copy !req
162. I've got expenses!
You see this?Copy !req
163. This is money
I've already spentCopy !req
164. on airtime
for that commercial.Copy !req
165. 445 bucks.Copy !req
166. You know
what that leaves me with?Copy !req
167. $100.
$104.95!Copy !req
168. For writing, directing,
producing, client outreach,Copy !req
169. sales, transpo —
all of it!Copy !req
170. I get it.
Yeah.Copy !req
171. So let's get you in the editing
room and finish this thing,Copy !req
172. and I don't want to hear
another word about expenses.Copy !req
173. Okay. Electric.Copy !req
174. I paid this month.Copy !req
175. Anything else?Copy !req
176. I bought a couple reams of paper
for the printer.Copy !req
177. Hmm. Paper.Copy !req
178. One hundred... Sixty-two.Copy !req
179. Okay, so...Copy !req
180. Mm...Copy !req
181. Looks like puts me ahead
this month...Copy !req
182. $3,172.Copy !req
183. All right.Copy !req
184. And what's it
to even me up?Copy !req
185. Uh... Divided by 2.Copy !req
186. $1,586.Copy !req
187. Okay.Copy !req
188. One thousand...Copy !req
189. Five hundred...Copy !req
190. Wow.Copy !req
191. Mr. moneybags, huh?Copy !req
192. So this...Copy !req
193. Commercial thing.Copy !req
194. It's turning a profit?Copy !req
195. It's TV.Copy !req
196. How could there not
be a profit?Copy !req
197. You didn't...Copy !req
198. Drain your bank account,
did you?Copy !req
199. What?
No, I didn't —Copy !req
200. Uh, oh, that's,
uh, Chinese food.Copy !req
201. I ordered it for us.Copy !req
202. You're workin' late,
right?Copy !req
203. Yeah. Right. Thanks.
Oh, uh...Copy !req
204. Wait, here.Copy !req
205. No,
I got this.Copy !req
206. Hey, hi.
$24.Copy !req
207. Here.
Keep the change.Copy !req
208. A dollar?Copy !req
209. Yeah.Copy !req
210. We can make it zero.Copy !req
211. Ahh!Copy !req
212. Geez!
What the hell?Copy !req
213. I mean,
what the hell?Copy !req
214. How'd you
get in here?Copy !req
215. Relax.Copy !req
216. I just want to talk.Copy !req
217. Talk?Copy !req
218. You mean, like, apologize?Copy !req
219. 'Cause that's really
the only talk I want to hear.Copy !req
220. I want
to do some business.Copy !req
221. Like before.Copy !req
222. Business?Copy !req
223. Is that, like, code
for stealing my baseball cards?Copy !req
224. I'm not here
for your baseball cards.Copy !req
225. I'm here...Copy !req
226. For this.Copy !req
227. Can you get
more of these?Copy !req
228. You want me
to steal this?Copy !req
229. Get a prescription
and go to a pharmacist.Copy !req
230. It'll be cheap.
I need
those capsules empty...Copy !req
231. Before they're sealed.Copy !req
232. With those
exact markings.Copy !req
233. Well... The place I work
doesn't make these.Copy !req
234. But...Copy !req
235. But what?Copy !req
236. I could probably
get some samples divertedCopy !req
237. on an R&D request.Copy !req
238. So do it.Copy !req
239. Why?
I mean, what's the point?Copy !req
240. I need them.Copy !req
241. O-Kay.Copy !req
242. And if
I don't get them?Copy !req
243. Then what?Copy !req
244. Are you
gonna threaten me?Copy !req
245. Break my legs?Copy !req
246. You get me those pills,Copy !req
247. and I'm gonna
pay you $20,000.Copy !req
248. Get them.Copy !req
249. Let her have the ball.Copy !req
250. Hold on, okay?Copy !req
251. Hey, pop.Copy !req
252. You doing okay?Copy !req
253. Uh, yeah.
It's coming along.Copy !req
254. Have a couple of volunteers here
who want to help.Copy !req
255. Well, thanks,
but I think I'm good.Copy !req
256. Please, we can't let you
do it all by yourself.Copy !req
257. Certainly not after
you bought all the supplies.Copy !req
258. At least let the church
reimburse you.Copy !req
259. It's a donation.
C'mon.Copy !req
260. You've got unskilled
but eager laborers.Copy !req
261. Let us do something.Copy !req
262. Just point
and tell us what to do.Copy !req
263. Oh.Copy !req
264. All right, uh...Copy !req
265. How about you dump
one of those packsCopy !req
266. into the wheelbarrow?Copy !req
267. And you —
you fill that bucketCopy !req
268. up to the brim
with water.Copy !req
269. And then you dump it in,
little by little,Copy !req
270. while he stirs it
with a hoe.Copy !req
271. You got it.
Okay.Copy !req
272. I'm ready.
What can I do?Copy !req
273. I think we're covered.Copy !req
274. You're kidding, right?Copy !req
275. It's not
that big a job.Copy !req
276. Am I doing this right?
Uh...Copy !req
277. Why don't you try
using this instead?Copy !req
278. Excuse me?Copy !req
279. It's for the walkway.Copy !req
280. Look.Copy !req
281. It puts down a textureCopy !req
282. so the kids don't slip
when it gets wet.Copy !req
283. Like this?Copy !req
284. You got it.Copy !req
285. Nice and gentle.Copy !req
286. You're Kaylee's pop-pop,
right?Copy !req
287. I am.Copy !req
288. I am
the very proud grandfather.Copy !req
289. I'm Anita.
Mike.Copy !req
290. Nice to meet you,
Mike.
And you.Copy !req
291. And thanks for helping.Copy !req
292. Well, thank you
for not tryingCopy !req
293. to do this
all by yourself.Copy !req
294. Hey. Carl?Copy !req
295. Yeah.Copy !req
296. Hold the fort
for a few minutes, wouldja?Copy !req
297. You got it, Mike.Copy !req
298. Oh, hey.Copy !req
299. You're here.Copy !req
300. This your idea
of stealth?Copy !req
301. I never claimed
to be good at this.Copy !req
302. Any of it.Copy !req
303. On that,
we can agree.Copy !req
304. Yeah, I know.
That's why I'm here.Copy !req
305. I wanna
hire you again.Copy !req
306. Do what now?Copy !req
307. Hire you.
As my back-up man.Copy !req
308. Same terms as before.Copy !req
309. I don't wanna make
the same mistake as last time.Copy !req
310. You don't wanna
make the same mistake,Copy !req
311. then don't get involvedCopy !req
312. with whatever it is
you're getting involved with.Copy !req
313. But...Copy !req
314. I'm involved already.Copy !req
315. I'm not.Copy !req
316. Well...Copy !req
317. It's nacho varga.Copy !req
318. What about him?Copy !req
319. He broke into
my house.Copy !req
320. He was inside,
waiting for me.Copy !req
321. Somehow, he got past
my security system.Copy !req
322. I have no idea how!Copy !req
323. All he had to do
was unplug your phone lines.Copy !req
324. Oh.Copy !req
325. That's it?
Huh.Copy !req
326. What'd he want?Copy !req
327. Pills.Copy !req
328. Well... Not exactly.Copy !req
329. Empty lydristel capsules.Copy !req
330. Lydristel?
Yeah.Copy !req
331. They're like
Nitroglycerin.Copy !req
332. And he offered me money —
lots of money.Copy !req
333. Way more
than they're even worth.Copy !req
334. But...Copy !req
335. I'm afraid if I don't do it,
or even if I do do it...Copy !req
336. I don't know...Copy !req
337. Tell him you can't
get what he needs.Copy !req
338. I already ordered them.Copy !req
339. I mean, the shipment gets here
in two days.Copy !req
340. He knows.Copy !req
341. Then make up an excuse.Copy !req
342. Fine. $3,000.Copy !req
343. I'll give you $3,000.Copy !req
344. I'm not interested.Copy !req
345. And you find a way
out of it.Copy !req
346. But —Copy !req
347. not interested!Copy !req
348. Look...
Full disclosure.Copy !req
349. When you told us about
the disciplinary hearing,Copy !req
350. I admit it —
I had concerns.Copy !req
351. So, just so you know,
I had to do my due diligence.Copy !req
352. I read
the transcripts.Copy !req
353. All of them.Copy !req
354. It was amazing.Copy !req
355. What you did
to Charles —Copy !req
356. you and James
set him up perfectly.Copy !req
357. You destroyed him.Copy !req
358. Oh, my god.Copy !req
359. I couldn't believe
some of it.Copy !req
360. "I'm not crazy. It's 1216,
one after magna carta."Copy !req
361. The magna carta?Copy !req
362. It was perfect.Copy !req
363. "You think
this chicanery is bad?"Copy !req
364. Who talks like that?Copy !req
365. On page 5
is a breakdownCopy !req
366. of loan-to-deposit ratios
by county,Copy !req
367. and you can see,Copy !req
368. if mesa verde is going to comply
with section 109,Copy !req
369. you will have to raise
your loan numbers.Copy !req
370. Mm.
That can't be right.Copy !req
371. We were fine
in Arizona.Copy !req
372. Yes, but the fdic requirements
in Utah are different.Copy !req
373. 96%?Copy !req
374. Is it really
that high?Copy !req
375. I thought Arizona
was only 79%.Copy !req
376. Again, it was,Copy !req
377. but Utah has a higher
loan-to-deposit ratio.Copy !req
378. I think we're gonna need
to check that.Copy !req
379. That number
seems way off.Copy !req
380. The numbers are right.Copy !req
381. But you can review
the guidelines if you want.Copy !req
382. Right here.Copy !req
383. You gonna check 'em
or can we move on?Copy !req
384. Uh...Copy !req
385. No...Copy !req
386. Of course.Copy !req
387. If it's 96%,
it's 96%.Copy !req
388. We'll increase
our loan numbers.Copy !req
389. Absolutely.Copy !req
390. Can we review
these fixed mortgage rates?Copy !req
391. 'Cause that's
definitely an areaCopy !req
392. we're gonna need
to focus our attention —Copy !req
393. Paige, I'm s—
that was...Copy !req
394. Unprofessional.Copy !req
395. I didn't mean
to speak to you that way.Copy !req
396. Kim.
Don't worry.Copy !req
397. It's not a problem.
At all.Copy !req
398. No, I'm sorry.Copy !req
399. There's no excuse
for talking to you like that.Copy !req
400. I know how hard
you've been working on this.Copy !req
401. Please, I've forgotten
about it already.Copy !req
402. You should, too.Copy !req
403. Okay?Copy !req
404. As far as I'm concerned,
all we did...Copy !req
405. All we did
was tear down a sick man.Copy !req
406. Fixed mortgage rates.Copy !req
407. I think it's page 3.Copy !req
408. Yes.
Yeah.Copy !req
409. There's an acquisition
comparison at the top,Copy !req
410. and you want
to go by total...Copy !req
411. Get in!
Yeah.Copy !req
412. Go!
Chop-chop!Copy !req
413. C'mon, c'mon!Copy !req
414. Oh.Copy !req
415. Get in!Copy !req
416. Let's go.
Trying.Copy !req
417. That doesn't sound good.Copy !req
418. C'mon, c'mon.Copy !req
419. I think
you're flooding it.Copy !req
420. I'm not flooding it!
You're over-cranking it.Copy !req
421. Oh, you don't know
what you're talking about!Copy !req
422. We're still getting paid
whether we get there or not.Copy !req
423. Maybe we should
catch the bus.Copy !req
424. Sh—
come on!Copy !req
425. Just —
it's gonna start, okay?Copy !req
426. Yeah, you definitely
flooded it.Copy !req
427. He drained the battery.
You drained the battery.Copy !req
428. Can you not
talk about somethingCopy !req
429. you know
absolutely nothing about?Copy !req
430. There's a bus
we could get in.Copy !req
431. Shh! Shh!Copy !req
432. I just need to think
for one minute!Copy !req
433. Look,
we're taking the bus.Copy !req
434. Yeah.Copy !req
435. Film crew!Copy !req
436. Hold up the bus!Copy !req
437. You see that?Copy !req
438. Fender stratocaster,
signed by ritchie blackmore.Copy !req
439. You know who that is, right?Copy !req
440. Someone
no one's ever heard of?Copy !req
441. That's real good.Copy !req
442. I hope your parents
enjoy supporting youCopy !req
443. for the rest
of their lives.Copy !req
444. C'mon,
ritchie blackmore.Copy !req
445. Deep purple.Copy !req
446. Ohh.Copy !req
447. "Another brick
in the wall."Copy !req
448. Oh, I weep
for the future.Copy !req
449. Mr. mcgill,
we have a problem.Copy !req
450. Them.Copy !req
451. Hey, fellas.
Uh, you ready?Copy !req
452. We got the first shot
all lined up.Copy !req
453. Can I
walk you through it?
Uh...Copy !req
454. We hate
to do this to you, but...Copy !req
455. We're having
second thoughts.
Yeah.Copy !req
456. I get it. That's just nerves.
Just stage fright.Copy !req
457. Uh, tell you what —
we got cue cards,Copy !req
458. and with the magic of editing,
we're gonna make you guysCopy !req
459. look like James garner
and mariette hartley.Copy !req
460. It's not that.Copy !req
461. It's just that it...Copy !req
462. It seems like
too much money...Copy !req
463. For not
a whole lot of return.Copy !req
464. And that, my friends —
that is where you're mistaken,Copy !req
465. because this is about
brand awareness.Copy !req
466. From now on,
when people think guitars,Copy !req
467. they're gonna think
"abq in tune."Copy !req
468. When they think pianos —
"abq in tune."Copy !req
469. Drums, xylophones...
For less than the priceCopy !req
470. of that ritchie blackmore beauty
you got on that rack,Copy !req
471. you're gonna have the whole town
thinking, "abq in tune."Copy !req
472. Yeah, but — but
what about the time slot?Copy !req
473. I mean,
"murder, she wrote" repeats?Copy !req
474. Come on.
Come on.Copy !req
475. Hey, grandmas love
buying the gift of musicCopy !req
476. for little Johnny and Sally
and skip, hmm?Copy !req
477. And it's
school-recital season,Copy !req
478. so where are the kids
gonna get those recorders?Copy !req
479. Uh, we don't sell
recorders.Copy !req
480. Synthesizers, then.Copy !req
481. But the point is,
those social security checks —Copy !req
482. they got
to be spent somewhere.Copy !req
483. Mnh.Copy !req
484. Hey, uh...Copy !req
485. As it happens,
uh, today only,Copy !req
486. I can, uh, offer
the same package, but...Copy !req
487. 50% off.Copy !req
488. Look...Copy !req
489. I'm sorry,
but we can't.Copy !req
490. Not today,
guys.Copy !req
491. Don't do that.Copy !req
492. Guys.
Now, come on.Copy !req
493. Look, I know
you want this.Copy !req
494. I know you do.
50% off!Copy !req
495. Yeah, we get it,
but we're just not...Copy !req
496. Convinced.Copy !req
497. Free.Copy !req
498. I'll shoot the spot
for free.Copy !req
499. For free?Copy !req
500. You will shoot this spot
for free?Copy !req
501. I'll film your ad,
and I'll put it on the air.Copy !req
502. But when you see more traffic
coming through here —Copy !req
503. and you will —Copy !req
504. then we do the other spots
for the original rate, okay?Copy !req
505. Now, how can you
say no?Copy !req
506. I mean, when he puts it
like that...
I guess we can't.Copy !req
507. Good.Copy !req
508. That's the best decision
you're gonna make.Copy !req
509. The — the best!Copy !req
510. Uh...Copy !req
511. You gonna catch the bus,
Mr. mcgill?Copy !req
512. No, I... Um...Copy !req
513. You guys...Copy !req
514. Get to
the editing room.Copy !req
515. I just need t—
to sit.Copy !req
516. Mr. mcgill?Copy !req
517. Oh, no.Copy !req
518. I-I can't.Copy !req
519. It's okay.Copy !req
520. No,
that's yours.Copy !req
521. You earned it.Copy !req
522. But you're losing money.Copy !req
523. We'll see.Copy !req
524. It —
it'll be fine.Copy !req
525. Okay.Copy !req
526. So, I finally
got my act together.Copy !req
527. I pulled a bunch of Alan's boxes
out of the closet.Copy !req
528. Only took me eight years.Copy !req
529. I gave all of Alan's clothes
a last washCopy !req
530. before driving them over
to goodwill.Copy !req
531. I cried.Copy !req
532. I cried when I washed them.Copy !req
533. I cried when I folded them.Copy !req
534. I cried when I dropped 'em off.Copy !req
535. But once it was done...Copy !req
536. It felt good...Copy !req
537. To let them go.Copy !req
538. I kept his uniform, though.Copy !req
539. Can't let that go.Copy !req
540. Lord, he'd never forgive me
if I let that go.Copy !req
541. But I figure it's okay
to keep one thing, right?Copy !req
542. I mean...Copy !req
543. People can use
the other clothes, but...Copy !req
544. Not sure what use they'd have
for an old uniform.Copy !req
545. I just don't remember
this much homeworkCopy !req
546. when I
was Kaylee's age.Copy !req
547. It doesn't seem to bother her,
but still...Copy !req
548. Most of it's
just busywork.Copy !req
549. A couple of us actually
spoke to the school board,Copy !req
550. and they agreed...Copy !req
551. Done.
All yours.Copy !req
552. Fair warning,
the coffee's not all that.Copy !req
553. Mm.Copy !req
554. I guess they feel
if you can face this,Copy !req
555. you can face anything.
Could be.Copy !req
556. I must be stronger
than I think.Copy !req
557. Mm.
You mind if I ask —Copy !req
558. and I really don't mean
to pry, but —
let me guess.Copy !req
559. You have another construction
job you need my help on.Copy !req
560. Uh, no.Copy !req
561. But if I do, you'll be
the first person I call.Copy !req
562. Okay, ask away.Copy !req
563. You said you kept
your husband's uniform.Copy !req
564. Was he on the job?Copy !req
565. On the job?Copy !req
566. Oh, you mean
the police.Copy !req
567. No.Copy !req
568. Alan was a Navy man.Copy !req
569. He was well out of the service
when I lost him.Copy !req
570. I'm sorry.Copy !req
571. The group has heard my story
over and over.Copy !req
572. Well, that's what
we're here for.Copy !req
573. Well...Copy !req
574. Alan loved to hike.Copy !req
575. We even opened
a camping-supply store.Copy !req
576. I helped him with
the mail-order side of it.Copy !req
577. And then, uh...Copy !req
578. This was
eight years ago —Copy !req
579. he went hiking
in gila nationalCopy !req
580. and never came back.Copy !req
581. They found our car,Copy !req
582. but they never
found him.Copy !req
583. And I don't know if...Copy !req
584. He slipped and fell
or had a heart attackCopy !req
585. or met someone who didn't like
the way he looked...Copy !req
586. I don't know.Copy !req
587. And even after
all these years,Copy !req
588. not knowing how he passed
or where he is...Copy !req
589. I wish
it didn't matter.Copy !req
590. But it does.Copy !req
591. Hello?Copy !req
592. It's me.Copy !req
593. You make the deal?Copy !req
594. Uhhh, no.Copy !req
595. Not yet.Copy !req
596. Why?Copy !req
597. I'm in.Copy !req
598. Hey,
let's get outta here.Copy !req
599. What?Copy !req
600. Get out where?Copy !req
601. I am up to my neck
in mesa verde. I can't.Copy !req
602. No, I can't.
Up.Copy !req
603. Jimmy —
na-ah!Copy !req
604. Nope. Nothing —Copy !req
605. Nothing you can do
to stop this.Copy !req
606. Uh, one thing —
you have to drive.Copy !req
607. Oh, oh, oh.Copy !req
608. Lookit this guy.Copy !req
609. Ohh.Copy !req
610. It's Alfred Hitchcock
in a rented toupee.Copy !req
611. C'mon.Copy !req
612. Why would you
rent a toupee?Copy !req
613. Y'know,
from the toupee store.Copy !req
614. So you don't
have to maintain it.Copy !req
615. All right.
Seven and seven.Copy !req
616. Yeah.Copy !req
617. And an old fashioned.Copy !req
618. Keep 'em coming,
good sir.Copy !req
619. Uh, oh.Copy !req
620. Can you, uh,
start charging this cardCopy !req
621. instead of
that other one?
Yeah, yeah.
You got it.Copy !req
622. Thank you.
No problem.Copy !req
623. You're not maxing out
your cards, are you?Copy !req
624. Of course not.Copy !req
625. I'm, um,
spreading the points around.Copy !req
626. I got a system.Copy !req
627. Oh.Copy !req
628. That moron
takes the bet.Copy !req
629. He took 3 points.
He's a fool.Copy !req
630. Look,
is it wrong...Copy !req
631. Whoa.
Hey, hey, this guy over here.Copy !req
632. Yeah, he wants everyone to know
what a big spender he is.Copy !req
633. I got every dollar
the guy owns.Copy !req
634. We're here
to meet a celebrityCopy !req
635. who's donating
to my charity.Copy !req
636. Kevin costner.Copy !req
637. I-I will go stand
in that corner.Copy !req
638. You point me out —
you're meeting Kevin costner.Copy !req
639. What? You don't look like
Kevin costner.Copy !req
640. Uh... I look exactly like
Kevin costner.Copy !req
641. People are always
coming up to me,Copy !req
642. saying they loved me
in "bull durham."Copy !req
643. Never.
Never happened.Copy !req
644. Always.
No, not once.Copy !req
645. Hey! Hey, you!Copy !req
646. Yes, sir?
What is this?Copy !req
647. Uh, dirty Martini?Copy !req
648. No, this is
a $14 glass of puke.Copy !req
649. Why don't you get
that idiot look off your faceCopy !req
650. and get me another one?Copy !req
651. That guy.
Who said anything
about gin?Copy !req
652. How do we get him?
Well,
I want vodka.Copy !req
653. W-what — am I just
gonna hold it here?Copy !req
654. What do you think?Copy !req
655. You go
and get me another one.Copy !req
656. The — the trick with the coin
you told me about?Copy !req
657. I know your boss.
I'm an investor here.Copy !req
658. Or the
counterfeit bill?
No.Copy !req
659. I know your boss,
and I know your boss' boss.Copy !req
660. That guy's
a real asshole.Copy !req
661. act together
and get me a real drink.Copy !req
662. He needs
to go down. Hard.Copy !req
663. What kind of menial job
is this?Copy !req
664. here's what
we're gonna do.Copy !req
665. We're gonna sell him
a worthless credit cardCopy !req
666. for 5,000 bucks.Copy !req
667. Here's what you do.Copy !req
668. Make eye contact
with him.Copy !req
669. That's all it'll take for him
to think you're interested.Copy !req
670. I'll act
good and drunk,Copy !req
671. and he'll think I'm a loser
and try to steal you away.Copy !req
672. He will persist.Copy !req
673. Mm.Copy !req
674. Tell him
you can't leave me.Copy !req
675. Not — not yet.Copy !req
676. Let him know
you're trying to roll me.Copy !req
677. He'll want in.Copy !req
678. He'll help you
ply me with booze.Copy !req
679. Then you take my wallet.
You lift the card.Copy !req
680. Following this?Copy !req
681. We're not actually
doing this, right?Copy !req
682. We're just talking?Copy !req
683. yeah.Copy !req
684. Just talkin'.Copy !req
685. what?Copy !req
686. nothing.Copy !req
687. It's not nothing.Copy !req
688. What?
I keep thinking...Copy !req
689. Was there
another way?Copy !req
690. Another way?Copy !req
691. W— Chuck?Copy !req
692. Is that what
you're talking about?Copy !req
693. Kim... He had us
in a corner, okay?Copy !req
694. We did
what we had to do.Copy !req
695. But Rebecca...Copy !req
696. Everything that happened
was his own fault.Copy !req
697. Everything.Copy !req
698. And put him
in the rearview mirror.Copy !req
699. He is not
worth thinkin' about.Copy !req
700. Done.Copy !req
701. Why, thank you.Copy !req
702. Have a good evening.Copy !req
703. How about that one?Copy !req
704. I bet
we could get him to...Copy !req
705. Invest in some of Giselle St.
Claire's land in South Africa.Copy !req
706. Oh, yeah.Copy !req
707. Definitely.Copy !req
708. The mining rights
would be all his.Copy !req
709. Really?Copy !req
710. He called me.Copy !req
711. For obvious reasons.Copy !req
712. Look, I'm not here
to rip him off.Copy !req
713. He has the stuff,
right?Copy !req
714. I need to know
what you're planning.Copy !req
715. What's it matter
to you?Copy !req
716. I know
they're for salamanca.Copy !req
717. Nitro pills.Copy !req
718. Your boss
has heart problems.Copy !req
719. You already
got it all figured out,Copy !req
720. why're you asking?Copy !req
721. How you gonna
make the switch?Copy !req
722. Hector keeps the pills
in his coat pocket.Copy !req
723. When he hangs up his coat,
I'll make the switch.Copy !req
724. Mm.Copy !req
725. He goes down.
Then what?Copy !req
726. His heart goes out.
That's it.Copy !req
727. A lot of eyes
on salamanca.Copy !req
728. You do this,
how are you gonna stop themCopy !req
729. from finding out
it was you?Copy !req
730. Are you tryin' to tell me
not to do this?Copy !req
731. I'm not
tellin' you anything.Copy !req
732. Just want to make sure you know
what you're getting into.Copy !req
733. I'm not
getting into anything.Copy !req
734. I'm in it.Copy !req
735. I've got no choice.Copy !req
736. Hector wants to use
my dad's business.Copy !req
737. My dad
is a straight arrow.Copy !req
738. He won't
stand for it,Copy !req
739. which means
he goes to the police,Copy !req
740. which means
he's a dead man.Copy !req
741. And that's not happening.Copy !req
742. You get caught,
it could get worse.Copy !req
743. You don't think
I know who I'm dealing with?Copy !req
744. No.Copy !req
745. I don't.Copy !req
746. What are you doing?Copy !req
747. There are more people
than the salamancasCopy !req
748. to worry about here.Copy !req
749. Now, if you manage
to pull this offCopy !req
750. without a bullet in your head
and switch those pills,Copy !req
751. then switch 'em back.Copy !req
752. Switch them back?Copy !req
753. Why?Copy !req
754. Anyone gets an itch
about the medicine not working,Copy !req
755. they're gonna look at
those pills.Copy !req
756. You do this...Copy !req
757. Switch 'em back.Copy !req
758. So...Copy !req
759. You gonna
let us make this deal?Copy !req
760. You got the money?Copy !req
761. Good.Copy !req
762. Now,
before we do this...Copy !req
763. I'm gonna need
one more thing from you.Copy !req
764. Yes?Copy !req
765. Okay.Copy !req
766. Miss valco
will see you now.Copy !req
767. Oh.
Second door.Copy !req
768. Hi there.
Come on in.Copy !req
769. Yeah. Hi.Copy !req
770. Uh, called
quite a few timesCopy !req
771. about an issue
I'm trying to address.Copy !req
772. Do you have
your policy number?Copy !req
773. No.Copy !req
774. Can you just
look up my name?Copy !req
775. Mcgill?Copy !req
776. Charles mcgill
of Hamlin, Hamlin, mcgill?Copy !req
777. No,
that's my brother.Copy !req
778. Um...Copy !req
779. I'm Jimmy.Copy !req
780. James mcgill.Copy !req
781. Solo practitioner.Copy !req
782. Oh.
There you are.Copy !req
783. Looks like you're all paid up
through the year.Copy !req
784. That's sort of
the issue.Copy !req
785. Long story short,Copy !req
786. through a series
of unfortunate events,Copy !req
787. my license
has been suspended.Copy !req
788. Yes,
I see that here.Copy !req
789. Right.Copy !req
790. Well, I was hoping
I could get a refundCopy !req
791. for the time
that I won't be a lawyer.Copy !req
792. Now, that's only fair,
right?Copy !req
793. I'm sorry,
Mr. mcgill.Copy !req
794. It doesn't work
like that.Copy !req
795. We don't refund for
unused malpractice insurance.Copy !req
796. But it's a —
it's a lot of money for nothing.Copy !req
797. I understand
it seems that way,Copy !req
798. but if
one of your clientsCopy !req
799. decides they want
to bring a suit against you,Copy !req
800. this continues
your coverage.Copy !req
801. That's the thing.
My clients?Copy !req
802. They love me.Copy !req
803. And they would never bring
a suit against me.Copy !req
804. I'm
Extremely lovable.Copy !req
805. I can see that.Copy !req
806. But it's company policy.Copy !req
807. What about
we put the insurance on hold?Copy !req
808. And then, if someone were
to try to sue me —Copy !req
809. which they won't —
then we just, uh,Copy !req
810. Kick that ol'
policy back into gear?Copy !req
811. I understand
your situation.Copy !req
812. I do.Copy !req
813. But there are rules
preventing usCopy !req
814. from stopping
and starting coverage.Copy !req
815. And I regret
to inform you that...Copy !req
816. When your license
is reinstated next year,Copy !req
817. because of
the suspension,Copy !req
818. your premiums
are going to... Go up.Copy !req
819. Considerably.Copy !req
820. How considerably?Copy !req
821. Um...Copy !req
822. Looks like roughly...
150%.Copy !req
823. God.Copy !req
824. Mr. mcgill?Copy !req
825. Oh.Copy !req
826. I...Copy !req
827. Mr. mcgill,
I'm sorry.Copy !req
828. I wish we could help you,
but we just can't.Copy !req
829. I'm sorry.Copy !req
830. It's hard.Copy !req
831. Very, very hard.Copy !req
832. I'm just having
a rough time.Copy !req
833. I just need
a break.Copy !req
834. Just one break.Copy !req
835. And I know you — I know
you can't do anything, but...Copy !req
836. I'm getting run out on
this community service and...Copy !req
837. Getting ripped off
left and right, and...Copy !req
838. My car won't start.Copy !req
839. My gal is disappointed in me,
and my brother...Copy !req
840. My brother is sick!Copy !req
841. And he's alone.Copy !req
842. I spent years
caring for him,Copy !req
843. and now he hates me.Copy !req
844. He's the only family
I got left,Copy !req
845. and he hates me.Copy !req
846. He hates my guts.Copy !req
847. Is this
your brother, Charles?Copy !req
848. Oh.Copy !req
849. And I pretend not to care,
but he's my brother.Copy !req
850. How can I not?Copy !req
851. He's mentally ill.Copy !req
852. He's — he's holed up in a house
with no electricity.Copy !req
853. He's working
by the light of gas lanterns.Copy !req
854. Wha—Copy !req
855. he's making mistakes
with his clients.Copy !req
856. He's mixin' up numbers
on important documents.Copy !req
857. He — he — he had
a complete mental breakdownCopy !req
858. at the bar hearing.Copy !req
859. Your brother —
he had a breakdown in court?Copy !req
860. It's in
the transcripts.Copy !req
861. God.Copy !req
862. And I'm worried,
I'm just —Copy !req
863. if he screws up
with one more big client...Copy !req
864. It's just
gonna destroy him!Copy !req
865. Oh, don't —
don't write —Copy !req
866. what are you writing?
No, don't write.Copy !req
867. I-I didn't mean
to say that.Copy !req
868. I don't want him
to get in trouble with you guysCopy !req
869. 'cause of me.
I —
right.Copy !req
870. I'm sorry.
I'm gonna go.Copy !req
871. You're not gonna
do anything, are you?Copy !req
872. I-I wouldn't worry about it,
Mr. mcgill.Copy !req
873. Uh,
please feel better.Copy !req
874. I'm sorry.Copy !req
875. Just for—
uh, forget.Copy !req
