1. That's it. Keep her steady.

2. Now crank her another inch, and...

3. —(EXCLAIMING) —(SCREECHING)

4. Ah, forget this.

5. Yeah, it can have the fruit.

6. Kirk. Kirk, what's the matter?

7. Nothing. Maybe.

8. I'm not sure.

9. Another nightmare?

10. You've been having a lot of those lately.

11. Is there something you wanna tell me?

12. Then lie down. Go back to sleep.

13. I need some air.

14. Ugh.

15. Now what?

16. Nothing. Go back to sleep.

17. I'm telling you it was some kind of animal, a monstrosity.

18. The wingspan had to be 15 feet.

19. With huge fangs and claws.

20. Look what it did to the fruit.

21. Uh-huh. Thanks. We'll get right on it.

22. Alfred.

23. Trouble, Master Bruce?

24. You could say that.

25. Reports of a huge bat creature the size of a man.

26. Remind you of anybody?

27. Present company excepted,

28. indeed, sir, it does.

29. I take it Dr. Langstrom has somehow become the Man—Bat again.

30. It seems that way.

31. You don't suppose he's taking that formula of his again, do you?

32. I don't know. But I know where I can find the answer.

33. Huh?

34. Dad. Where is he, Dad?

35. I'm not your husband's keeper, Francine.

36. He won't even work with me anymore, remember?

37. Can't you see I'm worried?

38. He's experimenting again with the bat mutagen. I'm sure of it.

39. Well, I wouldn't know anything about that.

40. He's been holed up in there since before I got here.

41. Why don't you ask him yourself?

42. I'm busy enough with my own research.

43. I can't go through it again, Kirk.

44. I won't go through it.

45. Francine.

46. Why, Kirk? Why would you do this to me? You promised.

47. (STAMMERS) It's not what you think.

48. The devil, it isn't.

49. I'm sick and tired of cleaning up after you, Langstrom.

50. —So people have spotted it? - Yes.

51. You must have some kind of death wish to take that stuff again, Doctor.

52. What? You think it's happening deliberately?

53. If I am transforming, then that thing's still inside me.

54. I'm not taking the formula.

55. Stop it, stop it!

56. I'm sick of hearing about that thing.

57. I'm sick of my life. I'm sick of you.

58. Francine. Francine, wait!

59. If you haven't been taking the formula again, what's all this?

60. What do you think? I've been trying to clean up after you.

61. Obviously your so—called antidote didn't work.

62. How could it have, if I'm still transforming?

63. Don't you get it yet, Batman? You failed.

64. All right, let's prove it. Give me your hand.

65. —What are you doing? —A DNA sample.

66. I'll run some tests. We'll see what the truth is.

67. Langstrom, look, if you're right...

68. Save it. You've done enough already.

69. I'll be in touch.

70. What?

71. —(TIRES SCREECHING) —(CROWD SHOUTING INDISTINCTLY)

72. Huh?

73. Look!

74. The end of a perfect day.

75. Indeed, Master Bruce, it does seem that with a bit more luck,

76. you could have had him.

77. I think I got all of him I need.

78. Well, if she's not at the ticket counter,

79. could you page her, please?

80. This is her husband.

81. Langstrom.

82. I have news.

83. Francine's gone. She really left me.

84. Not that I can blame her.

85. Who wants to live with a monster?

86. You're not a monster, Langstrom, not anymore.

87. My tests show that the original antidote did work after all.

88. I also got a sample of the creature's DNA.

89. And after comparing them,

90. I'm certain the monster is someone else, a new bat creature.

91. We're both off the hook.

92. —But if it's not me, then— —Let me worry about that.

93. You've got other problems.

94. Right. Maybe I can catch her before her plane leaves.

95. You're sure you don't need any help?

96. Don't worry. I'll take care of everything.

97. DR. Put that down. Now!

98. Or I'll fill you with so much tranquilizer,

99. you'll be out for a week.

100. You couldn't leave it alone, could you, March?

101. You've recreated the mutagen.

102. Recreated it? I've refined it.

103. At night, on my own, so the others wouldn't know.

104. I still believe only a creature like a Man—Bat

105. can survive the next evolutionary cataclysm.

106. And it will.

107. My new serum could be even more powerful than Kirk's.

108. Could be? What do you mean?

109. I needed to test it, but before I had the chance—

110. —You mean, you haven't taken it? —Of course not.

111. The experimental batch was destroyed. I'll have to—

112. Destroyed how?

113. I'd been working through the night.

114. I was just completing the final combination.

115. Francine burst in. I was startled.

116. You have to understand. I was very tired.

117. I accidentally dropped the beaker. The whole night's work, ruined.

118. Francine never guessed what I'd been doing.

119. She even helped me clean up the mess, all that glass...

120. Oh! Oh, my Lord! Francine.

121. The mutagen, it's in her bloodstream now.

122. Oh, no!

123. Is that what it's going to take?

124. Your daughter's life, before you end this insanity?

125. How can I help you, ma'am?

126. I'm afraid I'm not feeling very well.

127. —Could you get me some aspirin? —Certainly.

128. Kirk. Of all the ridiculous stunts... I told you—

129. No, Francine, this time I talk. You listen.

130. Whoever the creature is, it's not me.

131. The Batman can prove it.

132. But how? Who?

133. What's the difference anymore? Come home.

134. —(GROANS SOFTLY) —Honey, what's wrong?

135. I—

136. (STAMMERING) I don't know.

137. Francine!

138. Francine!

139. Francine!

140. —Cabin pressure dropping. —PILOT: Gotta take her down.

141. Pan—Con 1-4—4 to GCX Control.

142. Cabin pressure has failed.

143. Requesting clearance for emergency landing immediately, do you copy?

144. Hold on!

145. —(SCREECHING) —(GRUNTS)

146. —(GROWLS) —(BATMAN GROANING)

147. Kirk.

148. I've got you, honey.

149. And this time, I'm not letting you go.

150. Kirk.

151. The nightmare's finally over.
