1. He said no raise just like that.

2. Told me that what I do here isn't important enough.

3. Not important enough.

4. I'd like to see him talk to you that way.

5. You never had to swallow any disrespect, did you?

6. No, not you.

7. 'And if you wanted something, you just took it.'

8. But look at you now, all you've got is me.

9. And you're just about all I got.

10. That's why I'm staying here.

11. Even if they don't pay me what I'm worth.

12. You, you listen to me.

13. You're the only one who ever has.

14. Yeah, Herbst.

15. (man on phone) 'Boss wants to see you, Aaron.'

16. I wonder if he changed his mind.

17. Maybe this will bring me luck.

18. Mwah!

19. Let me guess, you're rehearsing for a play.

20. You, you were taping me?

21. You've been spending an awful lot of time in there, Aaron.

22. 'And now we know what you were doing.'

23. - But taping me, how could you? - How could you?

24. I have never seen such sick behavior in my life

25. Clean out your locker.

26. But, Mr. Chandler, I've done good work for you and—

27. And what, Aaron?

28. You wanna take this to the review board?

29. You'll never win and everyone will find out

30. you're a, uh.. Ah.

31. I'll clean out my locker.

32. Not important enough, huh?

33. Party time.

34. This is Harris on the sixth floor.

35. Inque's lose! Inque's.. Ugh!

36. What does this little toy do?

37. Careful, it's an exosuit.

38. It amplifies effort and increases endurance.

39. And?

40. When I tested it, it put too much

41. strain on my heart.

42. You'd let a little thing like a heart problem

43. stop you from being a Batman? I don't believe it.

44. - Would I lie to you? - No.

45. But you hold things back, lots of things.

46. 'It's taken me, what, six months'

47. 'just to get you to show me around the cave?'

48. That's because we've had a lot of distractions, haven't we?

49. Someday you're gonna tell me the real reason

50. why you stopped being Batman.

51. What's that?

52. It's an alarm system I set up.

53. I've got it hooked into the prison

54. and a few other places.

55. Helps me keep track of certain friends of ours.

56. So which one is it?

57. Inque.

58. beep beep beep

59. Downtown, Gotham Cryogenics.

60. - On my way. - Terry!

61. Just in case.

62. Over there.

63. Hold your fire. She's letting the hostages go.

64. - What's he doing? - Is he crazy?

65. No, you don't understand.

66. So what you gonna do now?

67. What are you waiting for? Get her.

68. - But what about Batman? - What about him?

69. Can we block it off?

70. Well, there are only two entrances.

71. On this street, then you got the next street

72. and the one after that and—

73. Maybe the Bat knows something that'll help.

74. Got some bad news.

75. (Bruce) 'Let me guess, she got away.'

76. And broke the Freeze gun while she was at it.

77. - But that wasn't the bad news. - It gets worse?

78. (Batman) 'Uh-huh, she knows where the entrance'

79. 'to the cave is, rember?'

80. (woman on TV) '... her escape through the city storm drain system.'

81. As yet unexplained is all the ice

82. that was holding her somehow melted.

83. Lousy maintenance.

84. 'Police Commissioner Barbara Gordon'

85. has promised that no effort will be spared by..

86. Huh! Ah!

87. Whist's the matter, Aaron?

88. Surprised to see me?

89. H-how did you know where I live?

90. How could I not know?

91. All those months of listening to you prattle

92. on and on about your pathetic life.

93. You could hear me?

94. Yes, Aaron, I could hear you

95. and see you too.

96. But don't worry, I'm not gonna tell anyone.

97. Not unless you're stupid enough to try and call the cops.

98. - I won't. Uh.. - Are you sure?

99. Good.

100. You play this right

101. and I might give you a nice reward.

102. I'd do anything for you, anything.

103. I had a feeling you'd say that.

104. Mind telling me what you're doing?

105. Ceiling up the cracks, making sure she can't ooze in.

106. You really think she's coming here, don't you?

107. She was here before.

108. She knows the way.

109. Does she?

110. It was dark that night and the Batmobile

111. goes awfully fast.

112. And then there's the way you drive.

113. - You got a better plan? - I do.

114. It's called getting to know your enemy.

115. Inque left a little of herself on your suit.

116. I'll be at the microscope.

117. What time is it?

118. It's noon. You like American cheese?

119. I don't feel like eating.

120. Uh, maybe you'd like to wash up then?

121. No, thanks.

122. Umm, you know, you were in that storm drain

123. for a pretty long time and—

124. I don't like water, understand?

125. Okay, okay.

126. But there's not much else this place is good for.

127. Just sleeping, eating.

128. Washing up.

129. And, uh, we've got hours

130. before it's dark enough for us to go outside.

131. Well, maybe we'll think of something to keep us

132. busy until then, hmm?

133. (man on TV) '... heavy cold showers, no clearin' sight..'

134. (Bruce) Still at it, huh?

135. She can huff and puff all she wants

136. but she ain't gonna blow this place down.

137. I know why she hasn't tried yet.

138. I ran some test on her residue.

139. The human part of her DNA has been damaged.

140. - Probably by being frozen. - So?

141. Back at the cryogenics place, weren't you wondering

142. why Inque didn't morph into her human form

143. and just walk out of there with the other workers?

144. Uh, yeah.

145. - Kind of. - Right.

146. The reason she didn't do it is because she couldn't.

147. She can't go back to her human form.

148. And if I were her, I'd be looking

149. for a good doctor right now.

150. - You think? - Yeah.

151. There can't be too many doctors or labs

152. that do that kind of work around here.

153. Let's get on the computer and make a list of..

154. Oh.

155. One other thing, it's not as good as Mr. Freeze's gun

156. but it's the best I could do on short notice.

157. Be careful.

158. (Inque) Hurry up, get it open. Can't you do it any faster?

159. I'm doing the best I—

160. Yo, what are you two hiding there for?

161. - Oh. - Umm..

162. Uh, just trying to find a little privacy, officer.

163. Yeah, yeah, privacy.

164. Carry on.

165. Don't you ever touch me like that again.

166. I was only trying to..

167. Just get it open.

168. plop

169. Do they have everything you need?

170. squeak

171. I'll make do.

172. Wait. You said there'd be a reward for me.

173. Here, now?

174. Inque, what I want more than anything is to be like you.

175. - You're serious, aren't you? - Dead serious.

176. The power you've got, I want it.

177. I've been wanting it a long time.

178. Then you'll get it.

179. What was that?

180. Ahh!

181. swoosh

182. Inque, Inque?

183. Come on, we gotta get out of here.

184. You know I once took an assignment to kill him.

185. (Aaron) Then do it, get it over with.

186. No, not until I get the old one too.

187. It's not working.

188. Oh, yes, it is, I can feel it.

189. Quick, I need more.

190. You are beautiful.

191. Hmm.

192. (Batman) It's some kind of arena, got a big glass dome.

193. Looks like nobody's been inside in years.

194. - What else can you tell me? - 'Sorry.'

195. 'I wasn't exactly awake when they brought me here, but..'

196. But what? Terry?

197. 'Terry, you alright?'

198. 'Answer me!'

199. It's the old guy, isn't it?

200. This is gonna be perfect.

201. Tell him you're at the old Gotham Hills Arena

202. and he should come right away.

203. Tell him.

204. Alright then.

205. Hope you're still listening, old man.

206. 'We are at the Gotham Hills Arena.'

207. 'Get over here right now, or Batman dies.'

208. (Batman) 'No, stay where you are, she'll kill us both if you..'

209. He'll be here. What is he?

210. Your father? Grandfather?

211. Well, I'll find out soon enough.

212. - Inque? - What?

213. You know, my reward.

214. Oh, yes, your reward.

215. - This is how you want to be? - Exactly.

216. Then I hope it will be everything you are expecting.

217. Hello?

218. (Aaron) She only gave me half the treatment.

219. You got away?

220. He didn't get away and neither will you.

221. Oh, no! Ahh!

222. - Ugh! - No!

223. Out of my way.

224. You promised, you promised.

225. Loser.

226. crash

227. swoosh swoosh swoosh

228. No!

229. No!

230. Now do you believe me about why I retired?

231. Not entirely, but tonight I am glad you didn't stay retried.

232. Poor, deluded fool.

233. Dinner time, Aaron.

234. The cook made your favorites, mashed potatoes and peas.

235. He made some fried chicken too

236. but with the bones and all, well, you know.

237. Mmm, mmm. Good, huh?

238. So before I tell you about all the things

239. that happened to me today, I wanna thank you

240. for listening these last few months.

241. You're the only one who does

242. 'and you'll never guess how much it means to me.'

243. Anyway, the store was out of diet ice-cream

244. so I had to drive all the way to the other store

245. 'and I almost ran out of juice.'

246. 'I was late to the doctor, but the good news was'

247. 'he got rid of the warts.'

248. 'Well, almost all of them.'
