1. Now the story of a wealthy family
who lost everything...Copy !req
2. and the one son
who had no choice...Copy !req
3. but to keep them all together.Copy !req
4. It's Arrested Development.Copy !req
5. Michael was using
the Bluth Company crane...Copy !req
6. to retrieve the family-owned frozen banana stand
after it had been dumped in the bay...Copy !req
7. a holiday tradition
among the local youth.Copy !req
8. - Soon he returned home so that he and his son-
- George Michael?Copy !req
9. Could share
their holiday tradition of rebuilding it.Copy !req
10. - Another one of Dad's suits?
- Hey, I'm the president now.Copy !req
11. I'm filling Dad's shoes...
literally, except his shoes don't fit.Copy !req
12. But I did finally get
into Dad's pants...Copy !req
13. although I had to have
the crotch taken in a little.Copy !req
14. You know, Gob, maybe it's the suits,
but I think you may be beginning...Copy !req
15. to alienate some
of the employees down at work.Copy !req
16. What? Oh, that's great.Copy !req
17. The president has to worry
about alienating the employees now.Copy !req
18. In fact, Gob had started
to alienate some of his colleagues.Copy !req
19. The worst that could happen is I could
spill some on my $3,000 suit. Come on!Copy !req
20. - Hey!
- The guy in the $4,000 suit...Copy !req
21. is holding the elevator for the guy
who doesn't make that in three months.Copy !req
22. Why don't I just take a whiz
through this $5,000 suit?Copy !req
23. Come on! They like me just fine.
You'll see that tonight...Copy !req
24. when they toast me at the Christmas party,
just like they used to with Dad.Copy !req
25. They used to roast Dad
'cause they thought that...Copy !req
26. he had a sense of humor about himself,
but he didn't, and neither do you.Copy !req
27. Hey, nobody laughed louder
than me at any joke about Dad.Copy !req
28. You're the one who's all Mr.
"I take myself too seriously all the time."Copy !req
29. Michael did tend to take
the Christmas party somewhat seriously.Copy !req
30. Merry Christmas. You can go ahead
and put that right in the charity barrel.Copy !req
31. Thanks a lot. Sorry, pal.
We just can't have them resent us.Copy !req
32. I know some of the numbers haven't all
added up, and there is some speculation...Copy !req
33. that George has been into the kitty-Copy !req
34. - "Into the kitty"! That's awesome.Copy !req
35. Fire Tom
and get your jackass brother out of here.Copy !req
36. This year I'm not officially president,
and it'll be nice to actually have some fun...Copy !req
37. with my son
at a Christmas party.Copy !req
38. - Thank God I don't have to go.
- So glad to hear you say that.Copy !req
39. I wanna meet someone there.Copy !req
40. What? So I'm not invited to
the Bluth Company Christmas party?Copy !req
41. Oh, honey, of course
you can go if you want to.Copy !req
42. - Thanks, Mom.
- No. You're not going to that.Copy !req
43. You see, if I show up with you,
it'll just make me seem like I'm a mother.Copy !req
44. - I've never thought of you that way.
- That's sweet.Copy !req
45. Well, I won't be going. I will
be head to toe in blue makeup until 8:01...Copy !req
46. in case the Blue Man Group
needs their understudy, so-Copy !req
47. No, no, you have to go.
So when men find out...Copy !req
48. we're in an open relationship,
they'll see you're no threat.Copy !req
49. People hear the name Tobias,
they think big, black guy.Copy !req
50. Well, obviously I'm not a big guy.Copy !req
51. I'm not a Carl Weathers, par exemple.Copy !req
52. I forgot about Carl.
Is he still single?Copy !req
53. Hey, George Michael, I need you
to help me fix up the banana stand.Copy !req
54. No, I can't. I was supposed
to go to Ann's parents' Christmas party.Copy !req
55. - We're makin' yams.
- Tonight? Tonight is the office party.Copy !req
56. Well, did you want me to go to that? You're
always telling me not to have fun at those things.Copy !req
57. Yes. We might even
snatch a gift from the charity barrel.Copy !req
58. Oh. Okay, well-well, I think Ann's parents
are having their party on Bethlehem time...Copy !req
59. which is pretty early,
so maybe I can make an appearance.Copy !req
60. Make an appearance?
Uh- Uh- No, no. It's okay.Copy !req
61. - You be with Yam. It's fine. It's good.
- It's Ann.Copy !req
62. It's good. Have fun.Copy !req
63. The boy's pulling away from you.
Are we having yams?Copy !req
64. Yeah, I don't know what's goin' on with him.
You know, he's on Bethlehem time.Copy !req
65. He's spending every moment
of the day with this girl.Copy !req
66. - It's, like, I'm his father.
He should be spending most-
- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.Copy !req
67. Don't get involved. Believe me. When
I thought your first wife was driving us apart...Copy !req
68. I did not make a stink.Copy !req
69. You complained all the time,
and she was my only wife. And she died.Copy !req
70. Well, see, things have a way
of working themselves out.Copy !req
71. - Nonetheless, it's family first at the holidays.Copy !req
72. - Oh, God. It's Mom again.
- Put it on speakerphone.Copy !req
73. I wanna hear
her beautiful voice.Copy !req
74. Michael! There's a hole in the window!
There's been a break-in!Copy !req
75. - Get over here!
- I'm leaving now.Copy !req
76. Sounds tense.Copy !req
77. That means she's not gettin' any
from my brother, Oscar. Lovely. That's nice.Copy !req
78. I heard about the banana stand,
and now there's been a break-in.Copy !req
79. But I have a surprise
for whoever it is if he comes back.Copy !req
80. First I blow him;
then I poke him.Copy !req
81. Guy has no idea
what he's in for.Copy !req
82. You know, Mom, all the glass seems to be
on the outside. Plus, here's your little statue...Copy !req
83. so I guess what this says to me is,
I doubt anyone was trying to break in, Mom.Copy !req
84. If anything, someone was trying
to break out. Where is Oscar?Copy !req
85. Well, he's on his walkabout
or pilgrimage.Copy !req
86. Every year,
Oscar attempts the 420-mile walk...Copy !req
87. from Newport Beach
to Berkeley, California.Copy !req
88. In the 12 years
he's attempted this...Copy !req
89. he's never made it past U.C. Irvine.Copy !req
90. He calls it a quest to recharge his chi.
I call it an excuse for him...Copy !req
91. to score his pot
and wag his pickle at coeds.Copy !req
92. You sound mad, Mom, mad enough
to throw one of these little lady heads at him.Copy !req
93. - What's that supposed to mean?
- Well, maybe you're a little bit lonely...Copy !req
94. and you're acting out
for attention.Copy !req
95. That's ridiculous.
I want you to move in with me.Copy !req
96. What? No. No. No.
No, no, no, no.Copy !req
97. Didn't you adopt a child for this very reason?
So that you would never be alone?Copy !req
98. Michael, a mother doesn't have a child
to give herself company.Copy !req
99. - Annyong was to teach Buster a lesson.
- And where is that little lesson?Copy !req
100. I sent him to the Milford Academy to
teach him a lesson. I can't remember about what.Copy !req
101. And Buster left this morning
to finish his army training.Copy !req
102. In fact, Lucille had refused
to drive him to the army base...Copy !req
103. so Buster was taking
his very first bus ride.Copy !req
104. - I can't change a hundred.
- Oh.Copy !req
105. Oh, God. Oh.Copy !req
106. And that's when Buster
saw something interesting.Copy !req
107. That could be good for army.Copy !req
108. Whilejust 20 yards away,
Michael went to work repairing the banana stand.Copy !req
109. What are you doin' here?Copy !req
110. My mom signed me out of school early,
so she wouldn't have to pick me up later...Copy !req
111. so she wouldn't be late
for the Christmas party.Copy !req
112. - That's about the worst thing I've ever heard.
- I had to drive...Copy !req
113. - because she had a little bit of a buzz on.
- No. That's it.Copy !req
114. - You doing this alone?
- Yeah. Well, thanks.Copy !req
115. I guess George Michael's gettin' a little too old
to hang out with his dad.Copy !req
116. - Yeah, and I'm getting too old
for my mom to be with me.
- You know what?Copy !req
117. - Maybe we should go to this party together.
- Really?Copy !req
118. Yeah. You're my little niece. I think
we should be spending more time together.Copy !req
119. - And if it makes my mom jealous-
- And George Michael can run back
to his precious Ann.Copy !req
120. Great. Good deal.Copy !req
121. Michael and Maeby stopped
by the office to see if Gob needed help...Copy !req
122. for the party
that was now hours away.Copy !req
123. king $6,300 suit!Copy !req
124. - Come on!
- Hi there.Copy !req
125. - What's she doin' here?
- Merry Christmas to you too, Uncle Gob.Copy !req
126. - Everything all right?
- I just don't want people's kids
getting their sticky fingers...Copy !req
127. all over these $2,600 pants.Copy !req
128. Oh, yeah? You think
they're gonna go right for the pants?Copy !req
129. Okay, okay, okay. So, should-
should- should- should, should, should-Copy !req
130. - Shh.
- Should- should- should-Copy !req
131. We'll do it your way.
I'm just here to have fun.Copy !req
132. Not too much fun, all right? I already
gave my big sexual harassment speech today.Copy !req
133. And please refrain from
discussing or engaging...Copy !req
134. in any sort of interoffice-Copy !req
135. Or
Or fingerCopy !req
136. Or- fisting
or-Copy !req
137. Or even- even though
so many people in this office are begging for it.Copy !req
138. And if anybody does anything
with my sister Lindsay...Copy !req
139. I'll take off my pants,
I'll shaveCopy !req
140. And I'll personally-Copy !req
141. - Let's get this going.
- What are you talking about?Copy !req
142. Now? You're not gonna let these people
go home and change their clothes?Copy !req
143. I don't think we need people tryin'
to compete with what I'm wearing.Copy !req
144. Everybody, come out of your offices, please.
The party has now started.Copy !req
145. - Here we go. Let's go.Copy !req
146. Everybody dance now.Copy !req
147. Everybody dance now.Copy !req
148. I think we're off
to a great start.Copy !req
149. And so, Michael started
to become relaxed, and a short time later...Copy !req
150. his mother arrived anything but.Copy !req
151. Someone broke in again.
The liquor is gone. All of it- gone.Copy !req
152. In fact, Gob had stolen it earlier that day...Copy !req
153. to cut down on the cost
of the party.Copy !req
154. - Hey, need a hand with that?
- No, Al. I wanna spill booze all over my f-Copy !req
155. - I'm all alone there, Michael.
- You know, Buster's only
stationed about five miles away.Copy !req
156. In fact, Buster never went to the army.Copy !req
157. - He'd gotten hooked playing the skill crane
and missed his first day.Copy !req
158. - Somewhat ashamed and with nowhere
to go, he returned home.
- Hey, Buster.Copy !req
159. - Buster!Copy !req
160. Thank God you're back!
There's no shame in being a coward.Copy !req
161. A coward? I'm not a coward.Copy !req
162. - Would a coward have this?
- What the hell is that?Copy !req
163. These are my awards, Mother,
from army.Copy !req
164. The seal is for marksmanship...Copy !req
165. and the gorilla is for sand racing.Copy !req
166. - You're doing well?
- I was just dropping these off.Copy !req
167. Now, if you'll excuse me, they're
putting me in something called Hero Squad.Copy !req
168. You have no idea what it's like
to be abandoned by your son.Copy !req
169. Do you see my son?
He chose his girlfriend over me.Copy !req
170. How the worm has turned.
Look who feels the sting of an ungrateful child.Copy !req
171. Mother, you have
to receive something to be ungrateful.Copy !req
172. I'm not gettin' worked up over it tonight.
I'm not gonna let anything bother me.Copy !req
173. Good. I'll get a drink and then go home
and wait for you to come stay with me.Copy !req
174. Thank God they've got my brands here.Copy !req
175. This was an unacceptable solution.Copy !req
176. Hey, Tobias, it's Michael. I hope you get this.
I need you to go over to my mother's tonight.Copy !req
177. Unfortunately, Tobias missed the call...Copy !req
178. and it went through
to Michael's home voice mail.Copy !req
179. - The Blue Men!Copy !req
180. You have
101 unheard messages. First message.Copy !req
181. - Michael, it's your mother-
- Michael, pick up.Copy !req
182. - Happy Thanksgiving- Michael, it's Mother-Copy !req
183. - Michael, pick up-Copy !req
184. - Hey, Tobias, it's Michael.
- Bluth Company.Copy !req
185. And Lindsay showed up
at the Christmas party.Copy !req
186. Unfortunately, she didn't realize the employees
had been threatened against flirting.Copy !req
187. Oh, hello, Ted. Oh, if you're worried
about my husband, it's fine.Copy !req
188. He's no bigger than a Cub Scout. You could
take him, and you could certainly take me.Copy !req
189. This has been pleasant and professional.
Good luck in the coming business year.Copy !req
190. - Hey, you guys are
sticking stuff on Gob's suit?
- Shh.Copy !req
191. Go away.
You're gonna ruin it.Copy !req
192. Aunt Lindsay,
how's the party?Copy !req
193. It is the worst Christmas party
I've ever been to in my life.Copy !req
194. Yeah. Watch this.Copy !req
195. Yep. Like my last 10 years. And my daughter
won't give me the time of day.Copy !req
196. - How was your party?
- Oh, it was good.Copy !req
197. They're kind of religious,
Ann's family, so it was-Copy !req
198. Yeah, it was just kind of-Copy !req
199. The word George Michael
was searching for was "creepy."Copy !req
200. Let me give you a hand
with that, little fella.Copy !req
201. Hey, I was talkin' to the sound guy,
and he said he's got this karaoke thing.Copy !req
202. - Yeah. Let's do it. Put the first song on in the book.
- Okay.Copy !req
203. Okay? Thanks very much.
Hey. I thought you were at your party.Copy !req
204. No, no. They said I could leave
for the second hour of silent prayer.Copy !req
205. But Ann and I do have to go back,
so I should- I should go soon.Copy !req
206. - Uncle Michael-
- Okay. I'll be right there.Copy !req
207. Sorry. I gotta go do this.
I'll be right back.Copy !req
208. - And Michael
sang a duet with his niece.Copy !req
209. - My daughter doesn't need me.Copy !req
210. Neither does my dad.Copy !req
211. Had George Michael
and Lindsay stayed, they might have discovered...Copy !req
212. what Michael and Maeby did- that
"Afternoon Delight'was more adult-themed...Copy !req
213. than its innocent melody
would have you believe.Copy !req
214. - Hang on, Maeby.Copy !req
215. Listen. I'm gonna
go get some more punch, because it is toast time.Copy !req
216. Okay? No, no, no.
It'll look worse. Go that way.Copy !req
217. So, let's toast me.
Who's first?Copy !req
218. Huh. Tom, why don't you come up here
and talk about me for a few minutes?Copy !req
219. Uh, I wanna thank
the Bluth family for hiring me back.Copy !req
220. It's been a tough couple years.Copy !req
221. - My brother did that. Talk about me.
- Oh, okay.Copy !req
222. Uh, you certainly
do love those suits.Copy !req
223. At seven grand, you'd better believe I love 'em.
I mean, look at what you're wearing.Copy !req
224. You look like crap.
I mean, at least this is-Copy !req
225. Who did this?Copy !req
226. - You do this, Tom?Copy !req
227. - No.
- You're a real smart-ass. You know that, Tom?Copy !req
228. Look, I don't know him very well...Copy !req
229. but Gob seems like
he'd be a really smart boss.Copy !req
230. - Please don't laugh.Copy !req
231. - Look, he's a great magician.Copy !req
232. - That's even better!
- you, Tom.Copy !req
233. - Please don't.
- You know what? You're fired.Copy !req
234. No. You're all fired,
each and every one of you.Copy !req
235. Merry Christmas.Copy !req
236. I didn't know the lyrics.
Where's everybody goin'?Copy !req
237. - We don't work here anymore.
- What?Copy !req
238. Is your sister still around?Copy !req
239. The Christmas party had been a disaster.Copy !req
240. I did the right thing, Michael. If I don't
fire them, how do I teach a lesson to the others?Copy !req
241. - There are no others. You fired everyone.
- Oh, that- that's great.Copy !req
242. The guy who's dirty dancing with his niece
is gonna tell the guy in the $3,600 suit...Copy !req
243. how to run the business.Copy !req
244. - Come on.
- I know. Maybe we're better off...Copy !req
245. with me being businesslike and you
being the good-time, useless party guy.Copy !req
246. - It got us this far.
- Mm-hmm.Copy !req
247. And I must say that I miss the laughter.
Oh, God, how they used to laugh with me.Copy !req
248. At you. We gotta figure out a way
to hire everybody back.Copy !req
249. - A meeting.
- A party.Copy !req
250. - No. We just had a party.
- Yeah, but I didn't get to have any fun.Copy !req
251. So Michael went to work
on another Christmas party...Copy !req
252. this time with the help
of his niece.Copy !req
253. I appreciate you doing this.
I didn't wanna ask George Michael.Copy !req
254. Did you see that he showed up at the party
for five minutes and left without saying good-bye?Copy !req
255. - Hey, my mom doesn't even wanna
be in the same room with me.
- Michael...Copy !req
256. I was almost attacked
last night in my own home.Copy !req
257. I walk in, and there's a colored man
in my kitchen.Copy !req
258. - "Colored"? What color was he exactly?
- Blue.Copy !req
259. Hello, Lucille.Copy !req
260. - I sent him to your house to keep you safe.
- Well, he did a terrible job.Copy !req
261. Didn't he? I need someone else, someone better.
What about this one? She's got thick arms.Copy !req
262. Mom, you just need to calm down a little bit.
You're so tense.Copy !req
263. How am I supposed
to calm down?Copy !req
264. Sounds tense. That means she's not
gettin' any from my brother Oscar.Copy !req
265. Maybe I should move in with you.Copy !req
266. And Michael realized
he needed to retrieve his Uncle Oscar.Copy !req
267. How would you like
to go on a road trip?Copy !req
268. No. I wanna stay here
with her. Let's go.Copy !req
269. And so the two of them
prepared to drive up the coast.Copy !req
270. You're in charge of the radio, and we're
not stopping until we find Uncle Oscar.Copy !req
271. There he is.Copy !req
272. My mom is very stressed out,
and she needs something that I can't give her-Copy !req
273. um, maybe a little
afternoon delight.Copy !req
274. Oscar thought that Michael
was referring to a particular brand of cannabis...Copy !req
275. named Afternoon Deelite,
a strain famous for slowing behavior.Copy !req
276. Well, sure. The question is...Copy !req
277. which way do I try
to get it in her?Copy !req
278. I don't need any details.Copy !req
279. - Maybe I'll put it in her brownie.
- Hey!Copy !req
280. - What happened to you?
- What?Copy !req
281. Oh, oh. My ears. The doctor said
I can't go to sleep for five hours...Copy !req
282. or I might die or something.Copy !req
283. Oh, I got blown,
so I can't sleep.Copy !req
284. Hey, have you seen Maeby?Copy !req
285. You're not gonna believe this. Apparently
my dad and Maeby took a drive up the coast.Copy !req
286. - You're kidding me.
- Uh-oh. I should not have picked at that.Copy !req
287. - That's blood.
- This is ridiculous.Copy !req
288. - So she's got a new parent.
- Yeah. Now my dad's got a new kid.Copy !req
289. I'm gonna lie down for a little bit,
but just- I c- I can't fall-Copy !req
290. Hey, how would you like
to come to the party with me today?Copy !req
291. And Oscar was giving Lucille
a little Afternoon Deelite.Copy !req
292. - These are really delicious.
- I'll get some more.Copy !req
293. OkayCopy !req
294. Mm-hmmCopy !req
295. Where did she go?Copy !req
296. Soon, the second Bluth Company
Christmas party in as many days began.Copy !req
297. - You are not fired, sir.
- I really appreciate that.Copy !req
298. You got it. Here you go. Merry Christmas.
Where the hell is my brother?Copy !req
299. Sure, the guy in the $600 banana suit.Copy !req
300. - Come on!
- Hi.Copy !req
301. - What the hell are you doing?
- Hey, don't be mad at me...Copy !req
302. 'cause you didn't think
about going out to Tarzana...Copy !req
303. to get the old banana suit
out of storage.Copy !req
304. But it's worth it, because it's time for me
to make people laugh again.Copy !req
305. With me.Copy !req
306. And what's funnier than a guy in-
Oh- Hey, wait. Hey.Copy !req
307. - Okay.Copy !req
308. Later, Gob was inside the banana stand...Copy !req
309. and it was getting pretty hot in there,
so he decided to lose a layer.Copy !req
310. Hey, look. There's your mom and George Michael.
I guess they did come to support us after all.Copy !req
311. Look at that. They're all over each other
with their little secrets.Copy !req
312. - What can you do, right?
- Yeah.Copy !req
313. How would you feel
about singing a little karaoke?Copy !req
314. Unfortunately, Lindsay wasn't there
to see all of Michael and Maeby's song...Copy !req
315. and was about
to have a similar revelation.Copy !req
316. Could not be caught
that didn't biteCopy !req
317. But you got some bait
a-waitin', and I think I mightCopy !req
318. - Try nibbling a little afternoon delight
- That's my wife and nephew.Copy !req
319. - Skyrockets in flight
- We have an open relationship.Copy !req
320. Just then, Lucille arrived,
craving a frozen banana.Copy !req
321. And the effects of Lindsay and George Michael's
"Afternoon Delight'was overshadowed-Copy !req
322. - Mom?
- by the effects of Oscar
and Lucille's Afternoon Deelite.Copy !req
323. - Tobias-Tobias, watch out.
- Tobias couldn't hear-Copy !req
